A car battery was fitted to replace a leisure battery.

I’m touring Scotland and my 12v wasn’t holding its charge, so I dropped into Halfords for a LEISURE BATTERY. They said they didn’t have one in stock and could order one in the next day and then weirdly found one and fitted it. I said I was surprised it had stop/start technology and feel utterly conned.
I’m now £190 down and need to purchase a leisure battery. As a female I suspect they saw me coming. I’m so upset.

Mixed review.

Mixed review.
I decided to use Back Market as I can trade in my iPhone 15 pro which has a crack. The trade in price was good. I decided to downgrade to a iphone13 pro, but on arrival and totally my fault realised it doesn’t have WiFi calling in order to use with Starlink, so promptly sent back. Refund issued and no issues with process. Ordered a replacement iPhone 15 pro (Premium) and it arrived with a chipped screen so packaged up and sent for repair. They have just informed me that they cannot fix it and refunded me. I’m in two minds whether to order another one from this company. Basically I need a new phone.

The delivery window at 16:30 today for KFC Barker Street in Shrewsbury was 20-40 minutes. Had to cancel order as it’s 17:51 and still waiting with updated delivery time of 18:35. Not reliable and not
Willing to wait two hours to EAT!
Also no refund has come through as text suggests.

Won £10 last August 24 and £10 last Jan 24. Not the best return on £12 per month. However, I rang today to cancel as moving and really pleasant call operator, nothing was too much trouble.

Shambles

The touch screen at Morrisons in Shrewsbury is one of the worst inbox lockers. I have reported it previously. The touch screen DOES NOT TOUCH SCREEN. If it does manage to move onto the next screen it freezes. Yet again ended going up the road to another one that actually works in order to post. Also this particular lockers system went down for days last bank holiday and I was unable to collect my parcels, which resulted in them being returned to sender. Please can you sort this out to make this a straightforward and easy experience

One to watch

SHEIN have a new range of walking/sports/outdoor type clothes called “in my nature” so I ordered a navy blue jacket, red waterproof and a fleece to see which fit the best. They have arrived today and when I tried to return (two of them) , it states that they are non returnable. I can’t even write a review. I have received confirmation from SHEIN that they are on final sale and this is why they can’t be returned. However I did not buy them on final sale price and the amount I brought them for is listed on my Klarna account. I would not have brought two jackets one for £18.99 and 17.49 if I knew I couldn’t return them. Now they have been significantly reduced ( in the final sale) and they have been reduced sometime after I brought the items and them turning up today. However the reduction in price is not reflected on my Klarna account. So surely if I brought prior to final sales and I am paying what I brought them for, surely I should be able to return.
Customer service isn’t great.

Abingdon Tortoiseshell glasses

I bought the Abingdon - Lt Tortoise glasses (Varifocals) last May (2023) and the arm fell off. Glasses2You were great and replaced them for me. They were less that 6 months old as far as I recall. Yet again, April 2024 my replacement glasses arms has fallen off. The pip that fits into the metal shaft on the arm just comes away. I’ve ordered another pair as I absolutely love the design but I would NOT recommend these glasses. 3 pairs of Abingdons in less than a year is really poor. My old glasses are covered in superglue for a spare. I don’t know what the answer is but there is clearly an issue with the design.

Booked an appointment for a valuation…

Booked an appointment for a valuation on 17 March 24 at 15:00, rushed around only for them not to turn up. Contacted the agent on the confirmation screen in the app and went through to VM. Half expected an apology call on Monday morning but nothing. Contacted the chat bot that stated they had no appointments booked on system. Rescheduled for this Thursday and contacted the main number today to ask if someone could confirm that they will be showing up. Was advised that both appointments are showing and the manager would call me today to advise. It’s now 21:53 and no phone call. If they don’t show up on Thursday I’ll be bombarding social media with my thoughts. Really isn’t a way to treat potential customers. Appalling customer service so far.

Lost small parcel and no details

We received a card advising a of £3.50 sender fee to be paid and arranged re delivery on the 15th. The card did not state who sent the small parcel. After communication on Twitter 26.06.23 the small parcel was still located at my local sorting office. Today 29.06.23 I’ve been advised it was delivered on the 15th and to contact the seller if this was delivered to a neighbour. Firstly no details of the seller on the card and secondly how was it at the sorting office on Monday but allegedly delivered on the 15th. We’ve received no small parcels since the card was posted in the letterbox on 10.06.23. AND if it was delivered in the 15th (god knows where to) why would I still be trying to locate it.) I think they think you’re stupid ….. I know services are strained but I have the card, I have the email when I paid the £3.50 and still unable to track.

Zero hesitation buying online

The choice of glasses for varifocals in the high street shops are abysmal! Limited and costly and not particularly “trendy”. In desperation I decided to look online and it’s as if a whole new world has opened. Plenty of choice, cost half the price (if not more) and I have a pair of glasses THAT I ACTUALLY LIKE. I uploaded my eye test and someone further down the line clarified this. I’m currently looking for my next pair and got my eye on a pair of sunnies suitable for varifocals. Absolutely recommend and won’t be returning to the offering of the staid and boring high street.

WORD OF CAUTION

WORD OF CAUTION. Do not hit the “everything is ok” without checking your parcel. Mine sat on the dining table for a couple of days and I assumed it was my Levi’s. It was infact a double electric blanket incorrectly labelled by YODEL to a Mr Thomas Rosser in Bristol. I AM NOT MR ROSSER AND I DO NOT LIVE IN BRISTOL.
Because I hit that button saying that everything was ok. Vinted are unable to assist with a refund. Plus you only have 2 days to escalate from the time the parcel is delivered. They also sent an acknowledgement email in French which was super unhelpful. It’s great when it works out but you can’t beat the protection of EBay when things go wrong. Really not through as a business model in protecting your customers.

Using reputable shoe companies photo stock to pass off cheap PVC knockoffs

Stupidly saw a pair of boots on Facebook without searching elsewhere. Turned out they were using photo stock of a very reputable Spanish shoe brand.They don’t answer your emails and remove negative comments from Facebook. The boots are not leather but pvc with glue everywhere. Avoid at all costs and can be bought on Amazon or EBay for about pennies.

My Coltswold wellingtons have seen
Better days from dog walking and I jumped on google search, went into the shopping tab and searched for the best price replacements available on the Internet. Universal Textiles came up and I ordered. (I ordered over the Christmas break so posting was as quick as it could have been) and happy with service.
