Never again

I returned my rental to the pick up location which was in the car park of a Holiday Inn hotel. The hotel issued me with a £100 parking penalty! Avis then charged me £30 as an admin fee for passing my details to the parking enforcement company. I spent weeks getting the penalty cancelled with no help from Avis. I finally instructed Amex to issue a chargeback to Avis for the £30. Months later, I’ve still to receive any response from Avis. Never again - awful customer service.

Received an email on 29th Aug to advise my 2600 loyalty points would expire on 27th Sep. Logged in to place an order to discover 1590 points had expired on 26th Aug. Really?

Great wines as usual, only let down by delivery company delivering to the wrong address again - they didn’t ring the bell/knock on our door and left the box on our neighbour’s doorstep.

Post box friendly, not

I’m sure the cocktail gifts would be delicious (purchased several times previously for myself), but post box friendly? Not. Both recent purchases sent as gifts were left on the recipients doorstep. When queried, was advised that delivery company (Evri) doesn’t have to post through the letterbox. Why advertise them as such, if it’s a hit or miss depending on who the driver is?

Really useful this past year

Really useful this past year. Alerts are very handy - bagged me two First seats to Singapore that I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Only irritation is, if it logs you out, the login (on iPad) is frustrating as there is a drop down ad that comes and covers the area that you need to type the login details into. Otherwise, all good.

After giving an initial poor review yesterday (below), I was contacted by Joe at LeisureGaurd within 24 hours, to offer a policy at a much better price. I have to say it’s the first time I’ve had such prompt service recovery action. Very impressed with the new price, and the communication from Joe. Well done.
