Helpful advice on new laptop
Helpful staff member helped me to decide on a new laptop to replace my current one which can't run Windows 11. Explained my options based on what I use use my laptop for. Explained the size of memory I would need and suggested a cheaper option than the one I was considering (simply because it had more memory than It turned out I would need ) so saved me some money.

The wrong item was delivered
The wrong item was delivered. I ordered a Fitbit strap and they sent me a mobile phone case. Trying to contact them is impossible unless you download the app or set up an account. I do not wish to do either. I will put this down to experience and will not use this seller again.

Katkin has been a great find
Katkin has been a great find. Our 15 year old cat was constantly being sick on a brand of cat food you can find in all of the big supermarkets. She was being sick on an almost daily basis which was distressing to witness. Furthermore she tended just to eat the jelly and left the 'meaty' bits so she lost weight. This has all stopped since we moved to Katkin. The food may be more expensive but there is far less wastage and we have a happier and healthier cat! The customer service team are great at providing advice and suggestions and the communication around deliveries is really helpful. Deliveries always arrive on time.

Delivered to wrong address.
Delivered to an address 3 or 4 miles from where I live and to the wrong postcode. Despite being reported as left in a ‘secure location’ (at the wrong address), it was left in full view of anyone passing by - whether on foot or in a car.
This is not my normal experience of EVRI which up until now has been good, but not this time unfortunately.

Professional throughout the whole process. Excellent communication including the guidance provided and keeping you informed at every stage of the process. Especially liked the phone call that is arranged when you first register for the service to give you tips on, for example, how to package your items and to answer any questions you might have. The offer I received for the items I sent was a fair one.

Easy to use
So far as a seller, I have found Gumtree an easy site to use and one of the other attractions is that there are no fees unless you want to do more to promote your item. You do have to be prepared to negotiate sometimes. The reason I have not given it a 5 star rating is that I have been asked to rate buyers but can find absolutely no information about Gumtree's policy and guidance on awarding ratings.

Good value, quality flowers
I have generally always used Prestige flowers because they are lovely flowers, good value for money, reliable and always arrive in good condition (unlike an experience I had once with Interflora). If I had any complaint it would be that I asked for them to be delivered on Friday 17 March but they arrived on 18th March. As they were a Mother's Day gift that was fine and to be honest I had factored in the fact that it is a busy time of year and therefore they might arrive a day late. For all I know the fault might actually lie with Royal Mail who delivered them rather than Prestige Flowers. I will definitely continue using Prestige Flowers and recommend them.

Great product and service
Our local rep provided us with some samples free of charge and our cat just loves it. Nothing gets wasted because she licks the bowl clean! The food looks and smells so much better than the usual stuff you get in supermarkets.
I put my first order in on a Saturday via the website and it was delivered on the Monday. Great service.

A negative experience turned into a positive one
I bought a buy to let flat in early 2021. I discovered on entry that the gas meter display had not been working for a year and appointments to replace the meter had not gone ahead. Despite the flat lying empty for 3 months I was being charged for gas based on the previous occupants usage!
I emailed and called Octopus a number of times about both issues. Eventually arrangements for the meter to be replaced were made although this was not straightforward. However no-one was addressing the issue of the estimated bills and the fact that the flat was lying empty. It was extremely frustrating and I was very disappointed given the good reviews I had read about Octopus. Eventually I sent a long email explaining all of the difficulties I had experienced.
Enter an Octopus employee by the name of Eric. He replied to my email and the first thing he did was to acknowledge and apologise for the fact that Octopus had not dealt with the situation as it should. He made proposals as to how to deal with the estimated bills and payments I had made which I considered to be fair and reasonable. He also suggested that I liaise with him specifically on some other issues that had arisen over the installation of the new gas meter. He really took ownership of the issues and turned a negative experience into a really positive one. He was patient, fair and unfailingly polite.
Occasionally in life you interact with people who are clearly interested and proactive in helping customers to resolve their problems and in my opinion, Eric is one of those people.
