Wasn’t as good as it should’ve been as…

Wasn’t as good as it should’ve been as I had to assemble the 2 chairs, It wasn’t too difficult but have paid £238 the last thing I expected was to have to assemble the furniture; Also they are not quite square and wobble slightly when you sit on them with no adjustment on their feet! Not 100% sure it’s the chairs it could be our floor 😎

Thank you for your feedback. As you selected our Click & Collect service, the items are provided in their original packaging, which does mean some assembly is required. We understand this can be frustrating and will take this into consideration.

Regarding the slight wobble - it’s possible this could be due to uneven flooring, but we’d be happy to take a closer look. If you’re able to send a few photos of the chairs to service@arighibianchi.co.uk, our team will be glad to advise further and help resolve the issue.

The non-negotiable £129 delivery charge…

The non-negotiable £129 delivery charge is very disappointing; We purchased a single seat Sophia right arm facing 1 seater unit for £449 and had to pay the delivery charge on top; we were not given an option to collect from store and spun some rubbish standard sales pitch about the unpacking assembly and fitting that the delivery included! It’s a single seat unit which interlocks to the existing fittings! It puts me off going to DFS in the future!

See DFS response: “Our delivery charge is the same in-store, online and over the phone. Your delivery will be assembled in a room of your choice by professionals and the packaging of your furniture is then disposed of in a sustainable and responsible way”

It’s a single seat unit which doesn’t require assembly! That’s the sales nonsense, I’d like the option of collecting; £129 is excessive to the extreme for a single seat unit that requires absolutely nothing more than placing in position!

FOC delivery 👏🏻

The club I wanted was in the Edinburgh shop, no issues ordered via the front desk in the Warrington shop and delivered to my house FOC in 2 days; The club was exactly as described.

Problem sorted

Having had an initial problem with APC couriers, who’d ignored my requests to find out what happened to my original order, SmartSeal responded very quickly and sent a replacement order overnight which arrived at 09:00 hrs.

None delivery of goods, resolved

None delivery of goods. Received a confirmation of despatch email and then an APC overnight delivery email with parcel tracking on 9th Feb but the tracker details gave no actual delivery date or details for delivery; Up to 16th Feb the goods have still not arrived. Contacted APC via their website, nil response. Contacted SmartSeal via their email and awaiting response from them. Immediate response from SmartSeal and a replacement order dispatched and delivered overnight; Excellent customer service.

Work completed on time

SMS reminders were helpful; Reception was good and all work completed on time; Was a little bit mystified by the 3 advisories on the mot, “exhaust rear bracket failed and 2 brake pipes corroded and coated in black grease or similar substance”. We purchased the car 12 months ago from Guy Salmon Knutsford; Guy Salmon Knutsford carried out the mot and a full service when we purchased the car; we took out the extended warranty and the mot warranty and have also renewed both for this year. Questions, The advisories why wasn’t the rear bracket replaced under warranty and why did you not replace the corroded brake pipes under warranty? The car was mot’d and serviced by yourselves 12 months ago with no mention of corroded brake pipes? We have not had to do any work on the car in between then and this years mot or service, so if, as the advisories are implying, the brake pipes we coated in grease to mask the corrosion then that was applied by your mechanics 12 months ago; no advisories were recorded 12 months ago?

Not great performance from the delivery people!

Sofa delivery was rearranged twice by DFS; Duly arrived on the 3rd date that DFS confirmed and within the 3 hour timeframe as stated in the message; Two people delivered the sofa, on arrival asked if I’d like the sofa unpacked and assembled which I thought was a strange question as we’d paid the £69 fee for delivery and full assembly; The sofa was carried in by the 2 delivery people who proceeded to bang the door frame in to the lounge with 2 of the pieces and took paint off the wooden door frames; After a bit of huffing and puffing the 1 delivery person said the sofa would not assemble properly as some of the connecting brackets were upside down; He stated he was not qualified to change the brackets around (which were fixed using 2 screws in each) and he’d call engineering who would call us within the hour to arrange to fix the problem; Been 10 days and still not heard from “engineering” or DFS! Wasn’t too much of an issue really as I changed the fixing brackets to the correct orientation myself and the modular sofa went together very easily; Looks great 👍🏻
