Review of Halfords Autocentres
Booked in for a single tyre replacement and even with several texts from them asking me to confirm the time slot was still OK, I was kept waiting 2 hours on the day!
What is the point of the time slot booking if they clearly pay no regard to it.
Review of RAC Breakdown Cover
On call the RAC for a flat tyre, they now push you to report online.
Was advised at 21:40 that it would be at least a 2 hour wait for a patrol OR they could arrange a 3rd party tyre fitter to attend. Whilst the 3rd party had a wait time of 30 minutes the cost was fully payable (at a hefty mark up) by me the RAC member.
This could be a nice way to cream off a referral fee and save themselves the hassle of attending.

I'm sorry to read you've been left unhappy with the way your breakdown was handled. We intend to reach all members as soon as we can, and can only apologise you feel we let you down in this instance. In terms of the charges, we offer roadside repairs that can be chargeable, especially when certain parts are fitted. However, these repairs can be declined, and you can choose to go to a preferred garage in line with your cover.
