Unsafe Product, Blame-Shifting & Missing Parts Returned
An important option when dealing with returns is to use a chargeback through your payment provider, when Parkerbrand inevitably refuse to honour their warranty. This usually results in a full refund for you, while Parkerbrand is charged an administrative fee(up to £100). You can also submit a Subject Access Request under UK GDPR to obtain all records and evidence relating to your case, which often helps apply pressure and clarify how your complaint has been handled.

I bought a ParkerBrand chainsaw that was unsafe straight out of the box — the chain derailed several times, even causing injury. I followed all correct procedures, used proper bar and chain oil, and checked tensioning each time.
When I returned it for inspection, ParkerBrand denied all responsibility and claimed the saw was “dry”, despite instructing me themselves to drain the machine before posting it back. This felt like shifting blame rather than genuinely assessing the fault.
Even worse, the saw was returned to me incomplete:
a bolt was missing, and one of the two chains I sent was not returned.
After reading other negative reviews describing similar experiences, it’s clear there is a worrying pattern here. The product was unsafe, and the after-sales handling only added to the frustration.
