Considering 6,068 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently report frustrating delivery delays, missing packages, and orders arriving significantly later than initially promised. Consumers also struggle to get meaningful assistance when contacting support, often getting stuck interacting with automated bots that fail to resolve problems. Furthermore, buyers frequently express deep dissatisfaction with the handling of damaged or incorrect items received. So I got my taxes back

So I got my taxes back, finally and I was all sorts of excited to be able to go to Amazon and purchase another iPhone since mine was unfortunately stolen recently when I went to Pizza Hut a few weeks back. The phone that was stolen I had purchased off of Amazon back in like February and I absolutely ADORED my baby. I had no problems except the only issue I seem to have had ALL THE TIME with you guys is the fact that y’all for some stupid reason don’t immediately take the money from my account like EVERYWHERE friggin else does. You wait. Which is completely idiotic. I just bought another iPhone 13 on July 31, 2026 and then bought another phone for my mama. Problem is you ended up shipping my moms which is why the transaction appears on my recent transactions, but my iPhone was never shipped So I cancelled it. Still haven’t gotten my money back yet

Accused of attempting to steal and gaslit over my prior Amazon experiences, over a $14 item.

ATTN AMAZON SUPPORT: Public review regarding customer service misconduct for Order #112-0683733-2171436. I expect a corporate manager to reach out and resolve this.
I am writing this review to warn others about the severe misconduct, rude behavior, and discriminatory treatment I experienced from Amazon customer service representatives on 09/04/2026 regarding Order #112-0683733-2171436.
I contacted support to request a simple exchange for a pair of pants valued at $14. The first representative I spoke with explicitly promised to issue an advanced refund to my Amazon Gift Card balance so that I could immediately repurchase the correct size. This resolution was officially offered by Amazon and accepted by me. However, during this process, I was abruptly transferred to a second representative without my knowledge.
The second representative immediately told me the first agent had given me "wrong information" and wouldn’t transfer me back. They proceeded to treat me with extreme hostility. During this entire interaction, I absolutely did not feel Amazon's core principle of "Customer Obsession." Rather than taking accountability for Amazon’s own internal communication error, this representative explicitly argued with me. They demanded that I upload photos of the pants that I had already clarified I had received, but were simply in the wrong size! Regarding historical return policies, I knew exactly what the first representative was offering (the refund upfront, and then dropping the pants off at a location like Whole Foods). But the second and third representatives were heavily insinuating that I was attempting to steal or commit fraud over a $14 item.
The interactions were incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional. The second and third representatives went so far as to demand that I take and upload photographs of the $14 pants just to secure an exchange, even though I had already confirmed that I received the pants, just like the drop-off email had stated. Furthermore, the third representative forced me to undergo a repetitive, redundant round of account verification and identity confirmation after I had already successfully authenticated myself before I could even speak with an agent in the first place.
When I asked for basic clarity, I was spoken to with complete gaslighting. I was told that a refund upfront was never the way Amazon operated, when I have used Amazon before and know that has happened—especially for low-cost items. I have never had this type of interaction with an Amazon representative before. It made me feel discriminated against and treated with an entirely unwarranted level of suspicion.
During the call with the third representative, I was sent a generic boilerplate email outlining a 30-day warehouse inspection policy intended for high-value electronics. Applying high-risk fraud prevention timelines and invasive photo demands to a $14 clothing item—while treating a loyal customer like a criminal—is entirely disproportionate and abusive.
To be insulted that I do not know my own past experiences with Amazon, repeatedly interrogated, and accused of trying to steal a pair of $14 khaki stretch pants because your own team gave me conflicting promises is completely unacceptable.
Because the initial resolution was already offered and accepted, that is exactly what I am expecting to receive at this point. I am demanding that an executive manager review the call logs from 09/04/2026 (Representative 1 at 4:40 pm CT; Representative 3 at 5:10 pm CT), address this hostile behavior, and manually fulfill the gift card refund agreement.

Don't order from here if getting the right product in a timely manner is critical

I posted this on Amazon, but since they're algorithm automatically drops posts like this, and they do not have a forum to address these issues that make depending on amazon unworkable, I'm finding other places to drop these posts.
***
Oh to post negative stars. This is an ongoing critical problem with Amazon vendors. I carefully spec'ed out this wire as it has specific qualities I need for my project that I saved for this 3 day weekend. I ordered this a week and a half ago with the promise that it would be here in plenty of time. Only today, Friday do I get the post that it is Not Even Shipped! Amazon and its vendors is increasingly becoming a useless source for critical projects. If you need to get the project done, Don't Use Amazon. Having to watch and hope for timely delivery and many times getting the wrong product (recent order, the product was switched for something I can't use 4 times), is exhausting. I get that people make mistakes and I'm willing to work with this. But the frequency of these occurrences is unworkable. Also, I've found that addressing my grievance in the channel that Amazon provides has not resulted in any contact whatsoever.

***
Additionally, they make the process of calling time prohibitive.

I have just changed completely my…

I have just changed completely my opinion about amazon. I have received a faulty item, quite big, a coffee machine. They don't offer collection of the item, just an Asda drop off, 30 mins away from where I live. They request that I spend an hour of my time dropping it off, or I loose my money, £300.

For my 2nd return in a row

For my 2nd return in a row, I was lied to by Amazon customer service. This time, I returned a dog coat because I needed to get a size larger. When processing my return on the Amazon app, it said I would receive a refund to my Amazon account 2-4 hours after drop off. I waited almost 2 days, no refund/credit was given to me. I called customer service and they told me over and over for almost 30 minutes “I understand. Unfortunately the refund won’t be processed for 1-2 WEEKS.” After 25 minutes, she said I should send a screenshot that shows I should receive my refund. She put me on hold and came back to tell me almost the exact same sentence account, “I understand. Unfortunately the refund won’t be processed for 1-2 WEEKS”. I yelled at the lady because I’m sick of this crap that Amazon has started to pull. At 27 minutes into the call she suddenly could give me a refund… IMAGINE THAT!! I’m about to cancel my Amazon membership. This is absolutely deplorable customer service. They use to be a good company.

Poor billing practices

Amazon has got to be one of the worse companies. Their billing practices are terrible. Jeff Bezos has got to be out of his mind. Amazon is a billion dollar company and yet they find a way to nickel and dime your account for monthly Prime membership fees. With all the money I spend, their memberships should be free. On numerous occasions, Amazon has taken monies out of my checking account. The lasted episode was them taking my amazon gift card. They are really hard up for the prime membership fee. Im thinking bout cancelling until they can get off the hard they be on.

ABYSMAL

Amazon used to be great. Now, it is too large, too impersonal. It is extremely difficult to be connected to a real life person, then once you finally are, their service is horrific, rude, and impersonal. There is a definite lack of empathy. They just ignore you, stop answering your queries or abruptly end the chat, leaving you in utter distress. Never ever have I been so disrespected. I am appalled. Shopping on Amazon? NEVER AGAIN. I was a loyal customer since 2003. No more!!

I don't know what happened to my order but it's missing. Says delivered and it isn't. Made to wait days even though the money is taken obviously straight away.
Paying £8.99 for prime is a giant scam and waste of time.

It's just really rubbish. Never using again.

21 days trying to resolve complaints – now my account is restricted

**21 days trying to resolve complaints – now my account is restricted**

I have been an Amazon customer for many years, but my recent experience has left me astonished at how difficult it is to speak to somebody with the authority to resolve a serious problem.

My original complaints concerned genuine order issues, including incorrect goods and damaged products/packaging.

After 14 days in which I received only automated responses, Amazon Executive Customer Relations finally reviewed my complaints on 2 September, acknowledged failures by Amazon and authorised two refunds.

Within hours, my Amazon account was restricted to digital purchases only because of the level of refund activity on the account.

I therefore used Amazon's formal appeal process and asked a very simple and important question: did either of the two refunds which Executive Customer Relations had just reviewed and authorised contribute in any way to the decision to restrict my account?

Amazon has now rejected my appeal but has not answered that question.

It has also not identified the specific orders or refund requests it considers improper or explained what I allegedly did wrong in relation to any particular transaction.

The restriction has already caused an entirely unrelated order to be automatically cancelled and means that I cannot use my £164.83 Amazon Gift Card balance for normal physical purchases.

I now have an open Executive Customer Relations case, V2348829852, but despite repeated attempts to obtain meaningful senior contact I still cannot speak to somebody who can reconcile the decisions being made by different parts of Amazon.

I find it extraordinary that Amazon can make such a serious decision about a long-standing customer's account while apparently making it virtually impossible for that customer to have a meaningful conversation with the people responsible.

I have given Amazon until close of business today, Friday 4 September 2026, to resolve this.

I sincerely hope I can return here and update this review to say that somebody at Amazon finally took ownership and put things right.

Alexa devices ….dumb

Alexa devices. After years of owning various different Alexa devices it is clearly time to move on as the 8 no devices of varying ages are clearly as thick as s@@@ now and seemingly unable to answer basic questions anymore. I presume Amazon have dumbed down the Alexa’s so that we all rush out and buy the latest models. In my case I will just set up my old amp and save some money on the subscriptions for the music.

Purchased 2 Amazon Fire tablets for kids, with the belief that parental control was available for my daughter who has autism. Latest update from Amazon has left trending and popular sections outside of any control, before buying this product please be aware that these sections are outside any control.
Amazon unwilling or unable to rectify. For us leaving Operation ouch available with 3 line prefixes, without downloading, which is not suitable for a person with a severe medical phobia.

Please read till end

Just seen after googling Amazon just how bad thy really are.
I bought very high priced card reader expecting quality it failed on second use unfortunately 1 month obligation had ended so contacted seller via Ebay total 100% ignorance again and condoned by Amazon.
I eventually pointed out the sale of goods act and the disgusting practice of defending cowboy sellers eventually amazon capitulate and offered full refund. They did not fully refund though.
While protesting offensive standards I wrote within my disgust I was stopping prime after organizing all my photos.
They immediately canceled my prime and opolgiised when I complained.
So I decided to carry on with the project at hand and tried to secure more perches days later I contacted then again my prime was useless canceled by the bank....my problem go away.
I called my bank totally fictional statement from Amazon I tried to report this it is non-negotiable they will not talk pick another subject

So all the perches for the project are being returned and I am seeking legal advice.
They have previously proved dishonest and I have lost cash not this time I have waisted a lot of hours being lied to disgusting coustomer services bad deliverys
