We had already purchased Quicken Simplifi. The only reason my sister contacted customer support was because she couldn't sign in. Simplifi repeatedly asked for a 16-digit code that was never sent, leaving her unable to access the product. Instead of helping resolve the login issue, the representative told her that Simplifi was not the same company as Quicken and persuaded her to upgrade to the more expensive Quicken Classic. The explanation didn't make sense, so I called Quicken myself while simultaneously verifying the representative's statements using ChatGPT and Quicken's own published information. During my call, the representative first claimed that Simplifi doesn't work in a web browser. When I questioned that statement, the explanation changed to, "It works in a web browser, but not all the functions are available." At that point, we had received multiple contradictory explanations from Quicken representatives. Rather than helping us access the product we had already purchased, the conversation repeatedly shifted toward selling us a more expensive product. We never wanted Quicken Classic. We simply wanted assistance accessing our Simplifi subscription. Instead, we were given inconsistent information that undermined our confidence in Quicken's sales and customer support. If your representatives are going to recommend one product over another, they should do so by accurately explaining the differences—not by making statements that change when questioned. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Quicken's sales or customer support.
