Booking.com: When Things Go Wrong, the Customer Is Left to Chase Solutions We had booked and paid for accommodation in Ploiești, Romania, a month in advance for our family of five. Just two days before check-in, the property informed us of water supply problems. This caused considerable stress, as the overnight stay was planned for our journey home from a holiday, and there had been no reason to expect any problems with the accommodation. The representative of the first property repeatedly pressured me to cancel the reservation myself, which could have resulted in losing the entire amount paid. I refused and agreed to an alternative through Booking.com. However, communication between the property representative and the platform appeared inadequate, and Booking.com was later given the impression that I had refused both proposed options. This did not reflect my position. The alternative accommodation was significantly less comfortable: a small studio with a double bed practically in the passageway, a separate bedroom without a window, and no proper kitchen. Payment was accepted only in cash or by bank transfer, resulting in additional bank charges. After paying, I also had to make repeated calls and follow up several times to obtain proper confirmation of payment. Booking.com compensated the price difference only in Travel Credits, rather than in cash that could be withdrawn or refunded to my bank card, as I had requested. The company also refused to reimburse the additional expenses or provide further compensation for the significantly poorer accommodation conditions. The support managers were generally friendly and tried to help during phone calls. However, written responses were often delayed or generic, and I repeatedly had to call and follow up to move unresolved issues forward. Another particularly upsetting incident involved the representative of the alternative property. After I posted a review on Booking.com describing my actual experience with the accommodation and payment process, without personal attacks or subjective judgments about the staff, she sent me an insulting WhatsApp message that included a negative personal judgment about me and a reference to my country of origin. I reported the message to Booking.com and provided a screenshot, but received a generic response that did not address the substance of my complaint. Overall, what should have been a straightforward booking turned into a lengthy process that cost me considerable time and caused unnecessary stress. Booking.com helped us find alternative accommodation, but this did not guarantee comparable conditions, reimbursement of additional expenses, or a meaningful response to a complaint about a partner's conduct. It is worth checking not only the price and rating before booking, but also the actual layout, facilities and payment arrangements. If you are asked to cancel a reservation, make sure you understand the financial consequences before agreeing. I would have expected a more prompt and consistent response from Booking.com — from finding a suitable alternative to addressing related expenses and complaints about the conduct of its accommodation partners.

0 star is what I would say. Nothing but pain. They sweet talk and take your money and when we stop giving them more, they stop calling and make us chase after them. Very unprofessional company to deal with. What they promise before taking your payment is not what gets delivered. Ben promised a lot before taking my first payment but now he just disappeared. Delilah says something but what comes from the mouth does not follow in action. And Gary is just a scapegoat who doesn't even know what he is telling us. I would suggest do not trust them if you dont see them in person. This company probably does not even have an office! They collect our money but when we ask what should be given back to us, the money becomes small in the eyes of Delilah. And yet she cannot afford to give back what was promised. What a shameful and disgraceful characters to lie and to cheat another human for a living! This is a company that runs as Prime Publishing Studios addressed at Manhattan, New York now. If this PRIME PUBLISHING STUDIO is genuine, honest and not a fraud, they can reply here stating when they will pay be back my share so that everyone can believe this companies morality. I dont trust their emails, phone conversations nor personal messages because I found it to be just lies and cannot be trusted or relied upon especially messages from Delilah Hale and Gary Martin! They have been giving nothing but false promises and lies! How can an honest company keep such employees??? That alone states something questionable? Or is Delilah the person running the company?
