I had a short weekend break booked on North Shore, owned by Coastfields Leisure, owned by the Sylvester family, who clearly have no interest or care for customer service within their company. First, I have no confirmation of my booking. Then when full payment is due, they send a really blunt, rude and insulting email (from a staff member) stating that unless I call and pay immediately, my booking will be cancelled. Let me point out that during the call I made to resolve this issue, the staff member clearly stated that the emails sent were/are from “no reply” so always end up in “junk” folders, and the company are aware of this. If this is the case, would it not make sense to resolve this issue and furthermore, would it not be better to train your staff to have an ounce of decorum? Since this happened, I have suffered a bleed on my brain (never thought it was possible, because I’ve never believed I had one! 😳), so when the park called to enquire about my arrival, I stated what had happened, and that if anyone arrived it would likely only be my wife and kids. I did ask for a quiet area on the park, just in case I could make it and simply due to my sensitivity to noise. This particular lady needs a new job, she is far too good, professional and polite to be working here, she was amazing. We didn’t travel as I am simply not up to it. The park called before 09:00 today to find out what was happening. I told them the issue and that we would not be arriving, and to say they couldn’t have cared less would be an understatement. My advice is simple, if you want to spend money on a break for yourself/your family, find either a company that gives a damn about its customers, or simply do some research and hire privately, cheaper. This place isn’t worthy of your hard earned cash. Avoid.
