This platform is completely not transparent in what they bill or what is ready for next billing. No full specifications or the transaction. All billing related items are hidden on the web and not accessible in the app( my opinion: on purpose). Support is just a useless bot Jesse and never really answered your question.

Reported a common scam (account 'gdrf_rescue') several times, over a month ago. Patreon did nothing. I emailed them twice, and used the 'report' function twice.. scam still active.

Probably one of the worst sites I’ve ever used it was a total piece of shit that sent me mad until I started shouting at my cat. Well no one’s gonna tell you is the site doesn’t work properly unless you’re on a PC a computer it doesn’t work on a mobile properly. What kind of people would do that?
I’ve just spent over an hour trying to cancel the subscription and guess what? You have to be on their app to do it now you know exactly what I think of these people and what I hope happens to them.

I had supported several 3d model creators for 3d printing, for quite a decent amount of money. I try to log into my account and get told it is suspended. I have not bought porn or any such thing through their site. Just 3d models for printing for roleplay purposes

Their support then tell me they have deleted all my purchases and the account is Unretrievable and my purchases are gone.

They are a bunch of thieves.

Very bad experience. I forgot to cancel membership and the moment I got charged I asked for refund. Creater hasnt even responded after 5 days. And patreon support gave me BS reason why they wouldnt refund. So its 100% up to creator to decide refund. Trash platform and website.

triple charged me and no reply for second day already.

I had a membership to a Rock group, paid $1.00 a post or song. First month got billed $9.00 with no itemized bill on what I downloaded . Second month they tried to bill my $5.00 and I asked for an itemized bill for what was downloaded and nothing. They don't tell you if they charge you if you open a post or nothing. I cancelled my PayPal from being charged and i asked to see what was being charged and no response. So the band cancelled my membership and blocked me. Patreon is a horrible platform

I was dissatisfied with the customer service, describing it as non-existent, unhelpful, and often caught in automated loops without real assistance. Customers frequently reported issues with subscriptions and payments, unauthorized charges,

Seems to be a scam. Paid for 'membership" and then got nothing back. Apparently the onus is on getting the money back via the creator. Fat chance of that happening,

This site is aweful. It's simple math. If you buy something annually and it doesn't work give someone their money back or find a solution. Three weeks now and they see where I paid but are so stupid they can't figure it out to give a refund for something that didn't work.

I feel like everyone just kind of gave up on me even after providing a lot of info for the people helping me and they STILL couldn’t figure out my situation. I wanted to know why I have been repeatedly charged each month after I cancelled my subscriptions in August of 2025! Both in May and June of this year I have been charged around $50!!! when my memberships were 8 an 10 dollars.

I contacted my bank finally (since I was getting terrible service) and it was resolved in 5 mins, as opposed to getting help from Patreon in which I have been in contact with several people since June 3 - June 16(ish).

I was just getting the runaround from them and it was even suggested I must have multiple accounts signed up or I had misspelled my ONLY email address.

Now that my issue is resolved, I will never use Patreon again. It’s a joke. Every time I got a new customer support person I had to provide my info all over again! They just kept leading me in circles with the same “answer” regarding my situation.

Terrible, terrible customer service. I agree with another reviewer when she said she would give a 0 rating if it had been listed.

I would give zero stars if it were an option. Trash customer service. Paid for many memberships but able to access members only content for just 1 day.

If you are an indie creator or someone small looking to monetize through Patreon, do not use it!

Although it has a large user base, there are plenty of other platforms you can use. Do NOT give them your details and create an account.

They will randomly ban your account and hold payments for absolutely no reason. You will be the one who will be painted as a scammer to your followers.

This company is run by absolute corporate level con artists that has been ripping on creators and members because they have a large user base monopoly.

This company needs to be investigated for breach of consumer trust and fraud.

Please do not give them your details!

I joined quickly because I wanted to support a good cause, I regretted it immediately. Very aggressive mailing (overwhelmingly high frequency of automatically generated, non-sensical mailings) and almost impossible to delete the account or your personal data withouth going through a lot of work and writing to them and begging them to delete your information/account. Even then, they harrass you with idiotic, aggressive mailings, trying to make you stay or not delete the account. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

A lousy service. To remove your membership is hidden behind so many pages and I had to search for ages to find something i think has now removed me. I got billed for 2 subscriptions I cant even remove as they dont show in my membership list. I will be contacting my bank to make sure no more unscrupulous payments are taken from me.

As others have said, I would give them negative 5 stars if I could. They do not want you deleting your account and stop you from doing so. And their emails have no unsubscribe so you cannot stop them. The list goes on.
Avoid them at all costs!

My wife asked me to get her a Patreon subscription for just one month. I purchased the subscription through my phone.

It has now been seven months, and Patreon keeps charging me every single month. I have contacted support multiple times, both from my own email address and from my wife's email address.

I asked them to cancel my subscription. I sent them bank statements, card details, transaction amounts, dates, and even the exact times of the charges. But these people are completely incapable of doing anything about it.

It honestly feels like their customer support is completely brainless. They seem unable to cancel my subscription in any way whatsoever.
