Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

I have had my eye on a power chair and was told Ableworld stocked it, my Husband and I drove to take a look and they didn’t have one in Woolston Southampton, but speaking to Amy, she offered to order one in, I said I only wanted to Look at this stage, no problem I was told.
2 days later I was told it had arrived, I said I wouldn’t be able to get there till following week, again, no problem.
We went to Store on Monday, had a demonstration and I was so happy when my Hubby bought it for me.
Dean, who served us , Amy who ordered it, and all the staff in this branch were so highly professional and friendly, I would recommend them to anyone who maybe in need of a little help x

Visited the Crewe store - was served by Jay & Amy.
First time in ableworld with my elderly mother in law.
Absolutely fantastic service. Above & beyond. I also noticed how clearly Jay spoke for my MIL as he picked up she was hard of hearing.
He also took time and care in explaining everything to her.
Amy helped us find everything we needed.
I will always use this store now. Thank you Jay & Amy.
And the chair was delivered and is perfect.

Visited the Cardiff branch and spoke with Tony and Shaun. They were extremely knowledgable and the service they provided was exceptional. We were looking to purchase a lift and recline chair and they immediately went out of their way to deliver a demonstration model to our mums home, which enabled her to try out the chair to ensure it was the correct fit and suitable for her needs. Thank you so much.

Excellent prompt service from moment of enquiry for stairlift, getting quote, and eventual installation. Cannot praise Graham, the chairlift installer, for his prompt arrival on time and working until completion of installation and his instructions on use before leaving premises.

Susie of the Broxburn West Lothian Store was so helpful and made our purchase of 2 recline and rise chairs go like clockwork. We ordered them on a Monday and they were delivered on the Friday and assembled by two very capable gentlemen. The service of all concerned was exceptional!
Well done one and all.

Prompt delivery and goods exactly as described. Just what I needed following a lung wedge op as my derrière was becoming sore due to sitting more than normal.

I recently took my elderly mother to the Woolston, Southampton branch of Ableworld as she was looking to buy a small mobility scooter. We received 5 star service from Dean who explained everything clearly to mum about the different advantages of the various scooters that he had in stock. I would definitely recommend Ableworld as they have an enormous variety of assistance aids for almost every need and the knowledge to go with them. Thank you Dean!

My son and I arrived in Wigan about 3.30pm. I had a very swollen ankle and decided a hired wheelchair would help me for the 5 days I was staying in Wigan. By 4.50pm I was in Wigan store and was extremely very happy with a wheelchair that Peter & Julie sorted me out with.It was fantastic service and information. They treated us very kindly, it was helpful as I was in pain and upset. They were a life saver as I was able to get out and about easier during our short break at Wigan. Also it was a very reasonable price.Thank you..

I went to pick up a click and collect order, and the staff member that saw to my order could not have been more helpful. She was just great, helping me get a couple of bulky items in the car. In a world that isn't always easy for carers, she absolutely made my day. It might sound small but it really mattered! Thank you so much.

Visited the Shrewsbury store last week to find a lightweight Mobility Scooter. Mark was incredibly helpful, very informative and knowledgeable. No hard sell.
Returned earlier today to pick it up.
Mark ran through how it worked etc again and put it in the car for me.
Highly recommended visiting this store.

Got a quote for a double curved stair lift, came to 6k. Needed time to release the funds, by the time I had the money and I went to order the price had gone up.
I asked to speak to a manager but would not budge an inch.
I explained what I needed and the staff member seemed to know what he was doing and suggested the best option.
The staff who came and measured and installed were very friendly.
Upon the end of a day's installation I was asked to test it for my parents.
It went up great and the chair turned for ease of access onto the landing.
I came back down and went to turn the seat to access the hall way but the chair which is facing the wall and 6 inches from my knees won't turn!
Asked the engineer why and he said it only turns one way!
Very angry at this point as I feared my parents wouldn't be able to use it at all.
Got on the phone to the manager and was asked if "I assumed it would turn"?
After 6k, yes I assumed they could get on and off it unaided.
The manager then proceeded that they could order a new 6k lift that did turn both ways and give me a 10% discount! I'm not making this up.
After further discussion she told the engineer to disconnect the stair lift if I wouldn't pay.
So basically my father can squeeze on it but I have to be there to help my mother on and off, which means she has to stay upstairs till I get home from work at lunch time.
Moral of the story don't assume you are getting a usable product
