Just horrible!!!!!
Just horrible!!!!!! They are not even worth my time to write a review. Just have to say horrible.
Awful, AWFUL, AWFUL!!
Awful, AWFUL.
Asking for the same documentation 5 times, asking for the things that have already been provided, not understanding a word of english, completely useless agents, accurate is probably the the worst experience i ever had online. Completely useless.
A disservice to anyone trying to get a new job
I feel bad for anyone waiting for Accurate to do a background check on them. I own a small business and we employed a college student for about a month.
I got a voicemail from some at Accurate looking to confirm details about his employment with us. The person at Accurate was difficult to understand. I made a note to return the call when I had time.
Less than 24 hours later, another voicemail from another person with a heavy accent.
I'd like to help our college kid out with a review, but based on the reports I've seen here about the difficulty employers have had providing information, I'm going to take a pass.
Shame on any employer that uses Accurate. They are doing a disservice to their job candidates.
This company SUCKS
This company SUCKS. Didn’t contact references of employers, extremely slow at providing answers to questions. I felt with all of the “documentation” I needed to provide, I was doing more of my own background checks than they were. Needless to say, after waiting for 2 weeks wondering if I was actually going to land my dream job, I got the most heartbreaking email letting me know that chance has been stripped solely on information provided by these clowns, and I’ve emailed them 3 times already for my adverse action notice which is REQUIRED BY ILLINOIS to be given to anyone who doesn’t get a job based on a background check, but as you can imagine.. radio silence on their end. It’ll be 2 months before I get a copy of that. Give sterling their company back. I’ll never apply anywhere that uses these fools again.
This company was doing a background…
This company was doing a background check for a place that I was offered a job pending this so called background check. My start date has been delayed twice because this company had dragged their feet. Told the company and me 3 days, then 7 to 10 days, now weeks. For a cashier position. The service sucks when you call. They can't help you just gives you a run around. This company should be out of business.
Hard to communicate with
Every few months, Accurate Background employees call me non-stop at my job to verify information for people. I have trouble communicating with them due to the language barrier. They seem to have a rote set of questions they ask but don't understand the answers I give. I just finished a call with a man who asked me the same questions over and over. He must have asked about five times if I was authorized to give out the information he needed. Perhaps some more training is needed.
Horrible company to use for checking…
Horrible company to use for checking employment background. Their agents barely speak recognizable English. If you call them, you’ll be on hold for at least 30 minutes.
From the questions I was asked, their data sets must be ridiculously flawed.
Do the background yourself, don’t trust this ineffectual third party.
Accurate Background - False message and poor system use.
Accurate Background left a message to provide an employment verification on a past employee. I called back the number and it said "not in service".
Accurate Background left me another message two days later. I called back the number and this time I received a recording. I had a wait a while and then I was to leave a message.
Amazing this company is being used by employers for background checks.
I will never recommend this company to…
I will never recommend this company to anyone as I nearly lost an international job offer. When it came to my educational background verification the head of my educational institution sent the verification to them only for accurate to tell me it hadn't been sent. The smartest thing I did was to go online to check out their reviews. I then got a quick que from this platform and I decided to mount pressure on them. It was as if they were toying around with me and save one representative who ADVICED me on what to do, the rest were just using sugar-coating words on me. I decided to contact my educational institution again and for a while it seemed I was doing accurate background check's work for them. I then had the head send me a proof of my educational verification then sent it to them. They were dumbfounded and at a loss for words when I provided them the proof they had been in touch with my educational institution. And to think they would simply check their systems and pull it up to complete my background check they were telling me stories. I then contacted the HR of my new job with the evidence of educational verification and he was surprised that I had had the verification over a week ago(on the 14th of February 2025) and they had said nothing to him. It was the day of the deadline last week on the 22nd the HR was to close all background checks. He was furious and contacted accurate and gave them a few more days to clear the checks. But all to no avail. Finally on the 25th of February 2025 he called them for the results but they still had not bulged even as the head of my educational institution had sent them 3 different verifications after the first one. The HR demanded to speak to the management and they had my checks cleared. I received my job offer after going through a lot of stress and mental trauma. I had planned on litigation if worse had turned to worst. I will never recommend this company(accurate background check) in this life and in the life to come. The reviews really helped me to take matters in my own hands and I feel sorry for those who lost great job offers because of them. If the was a zero or negative star option I would definitely give them that.
The page is not even loading
The page is not even loading. Amazon please STOP using these guys. Il never be ave to get the background check done in time. I dont even know when il be able to do it.
Simply crap.
I seem to be having the same problem as…
I seem to be having the same problem as everybody else. Accurate are accusing me of having a criminal record when I don't, and this is having an impact on what jobs I can apply for. After their mistake i have emailed multiple times to the disputes department asking for them to take another look, and I only receive replies saying there's nothing they can do, or that they no longer have me on record. I thought it would be easy to resolve, but they don't seem interested in correcting their mistake.
Not happy.
If I could id give no stars
If I could id give no stars. This is the worst company to go through. They have been investigating (my high school) information for over a month now, and have failed to verify. All they have to do is call or make contact with school. I have called every day and all they can say is “we are working on it” at this point I find that same answer hilarious. I have called my school and they have also sent documents to these “backround” people and still nothing. I have been set back on my start date for another month, due to this incompetent compnay. ( accurate backround) horrible experience overall. I also spoke to a supervisor and this is what he said, “I am sorry, give us some time” lol lol lol this is out of control. No one speaks fluent English and no one there knows what they are doing. Horrrrrible company and experience.
Significant communication problems.
I have experienced significant communication problems when dealing with this company. If I didn't know better, I'd say they have employed primarily people with English as a second or even third language. If anything happens which is outside of the script they have been given, they seem to malfunction and break down. I wouldn't do any business with this company if given the choice. I am unsure how they secured a contract with Amazon Flex to begin with, but surely they will not get it renewed in the future. Good day.
Accurate reporting is not accurate and wrong on so many levels
I reside in Australia, and recieved an email from Amazon flex saying my account had been deactivated due to accuratereport apparently find8ng either criminal charges or serious driving offences against me.
Only problem is , I have never had a criminal charge laid against me my entire adult life here in Australia, or anywhere in the world , for that matter.
Every year I apply for and recieve a national police clearance thet is manually processed by the police because my name could be similar apparently, to someone who has been charged- there could be other reasons it's flagged but that's the main one if you know you have never been charged woth any criminal offence .
Being in Australia it also makes me wonder why on earth is Amazon flex using a US based business that I am very sure does not have access ro australian criminal record data bases?
Not just accurate report but also Amazon flex need ro lift their game but because they are so big I am sure they simply do not care
The worst experience ever…
Accurate appears to be horrible company to deal with and I would never recommend using them. I'm trying to get hired and Accurate is causing a great deal of stress and delay. I provided Accurate with my employers contact info and they falsely claimed they could not verify my employment; however, when I called my former employers this morning they told me that they were never contacted by Accurate!! Furthermore, these guys from India called my current employer and told HR that they were trying to verify a former employee...I am a current employee and I got called into HR over this!!! I called customer service and told them that I had emailed them further instruction to make a real attempt to contact my references and they told me that they already made an attempt (not true) and that they won't make any more attempts unless the hiring company authorities this. I should not have to jump through so many hoops just because they don't want to do their job. I should not have to provide 7 years worth of tax papers, -or- deal with the IRS to get earnings statements, etc. Accurate's website says they are familiar with and integrated with The Work Number and yet one of my former employers uses The Work Number. Ridiculous and stop offshoring these background checking jobs to foreign countries. Potential companies thinking of using Accurates services should be aware. Look how many 1 star reviews this company has!
By far the worst and longest background…
By far the worst and longest background check I've ever had before and I've had many which always take between 2 - 4 days to return. Accurate took 16 days and I have no criminal history plus provided my passport as proof of Australian citizenship. It couldn't have been easier for them.
BEWARE
BEWARE, check all your documents that are submitted the company was running my background check with a birthday that was not mine, this is unacceptable for these companies their are many factors at jeopardy.
An absolute joke of a company
An absolute joke of a company. I've had advanced background checks for previous employers and got it back in half the time. This company lie a lot as well. The reviews say it all won't last long and any wonder why.
Horrible Experience
Very horrible experience with a worthless company. Thanks to them I didn't even get the job & that is after I waited two months. The paperwork they sent me said I was not hired because "recipient failed to respond" which is just a lie because I have responded to every email they sent me & I have proof of that in my email sent folder. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS.
Hire at least one IT person I beg
Oh my word these people have no computer literacy. I'm currently back and forth with them because they don't know what a zipped folder is.
Doesn't fill me with confidence that they have any idea how to navigate the modern tech space, I dread to think what their cyber security is like.
