The team at Ace and Tates Coal Drop Yard branch were amazing. A great team approach to my appointment from the knowledgeable management team to the very friendly team on the shop floor. Team took time to give me advise on choice of frames which were an extensive and affordable selection and what suited me and after care help too. Would highly recommend the team and company for sight test and excellent team input. A good experience all round.

I’ve been a loyal Ace & Tate customer for years, mainly because of the clip-ons that matched their frames. I bought the Alfred Small model expecting long-term compatibility. But shortly after, the clip-ons were discontinued without any notification to customers.
As a result, no clip-ons fit my glasses anymore, no stock exists anywhere, and customer service simply told me there’s “nothing they can do.”
What’s worse is that the only “solution” is to buy a brand-new frame.essentially pushing customers to consume more because an essential accessory was quietly discontinued.
This practice feels neither transparent nor customer-friendly. Very disappointing experience.

I would like to say a big thank you to Alisa who's has done my eye test. At ace&Tate shop. She was really patient, also made me understand so much about my eyes.

I wanted to get a new pair of glasses, so I went to Angel’s shop and Mel helped me, she was absolutely lovely and the experience was incredible. She recommended the frames that suited me best and I had my glasses ready the very same day. I’m super happy with them!

Had my first eye test in over 10 years at the branch in Islington and the service was excellent. Sales assistant done a great job at answering any questions and Alisa the optom was very thorough when checking my eyes and very polite aswell. Also informed me I need to come back for a more detailed check for one point of concern which shows very knowledgeable optom. Will definitely be visiting again.

Went to get a couple of pairs of glasses adjusted at the Upper St. branch and had a really good experience! Meganne especially was really helpful.

Had my eye test and glasses done here a year ago and they're still in great condition.
Popped in today for an adjustment and Alisa was quite helpful and straightened up my glasses very quickly.

Wonderfully curated collection of frames with lots of choice that didn’t overwhelm.

The gentleman that conducted my eye test today was extremely professional and the two young ladies that helped me with selecting my glasses were wonderful.

I arrived on time and went straight into the eye test. Radhika the Optician was thorough, clear, and really easy to talk to. The gent on the floor was just as helpful, answering my questions and giving me space to explore (no pushy sales techniques).

Not to mention, they have an impressive range of frames. I highly recommend popping in!

Just an Excellent Service.
Have been a customer for 6-7yrs, at first mainly for the style at the price. Having recently bought some super expensive varifocals I foolishly tried to bend them into shape myself instead of going back to the shop for refitting... snapped them at the bridge. Not only did A&T take pity on me, finding the exact same frames and fitting the lenses in the same day, they didn't charge anything for the service or the frames (which were just within warranty - although maybe this didn't cover deliberate customer damage). They also refitted some of my older glasses which were a bit out of shape with age and sent me on my way within an hour.

The amazing staff made me a repeat customer of the Cold Drops Yard branch. They were so helpful and patient with my eye test and explained the whole process to me. The store has great vibes and they clearly know what they are doing!

Experience was great in Ace and Tate Islington, Lara was very attentive and gave me a huge amount of options, passing on her expertise and helping me greatly with my indecisive.

The product and the service while purchasing their glasses is top notch. But what has completely blown me away is their service later on. I have had their glasses for at least 3-4 years and have had to go a few times to straighten the frame out but I have always been served with a smile and complete professionalism. Today was no exception at their coal drops yard outlet where maz and Eddie helped me. Senior managers of ace&tate you are doing a great job preserving such a great culture! Well done!
