I had known about Acquire.com for a long time and always thought, this is a marketplace that actually does things the right way. That said, based on the size of companies I typically build, I assumed it was more geared toward micro-acquisitions and not really a fit for me.
With my most recent exit, I decided to take a chance and list anyway, and man... I’m extremely glad I did.
We listed in May 2025 and were quickly introduced to Ky, one of Acquire’s senior advisors. Early on, things moved fast: strong interest, nearly a dozen offers, and real momentum. We ultimately selected an offer that required SBA financing, and from there, almost everything that could go wrong did.
This was my third acquisition, and despite having been through the process before, this one tested me in ways I didn’t expect. SBA deals are brutal, delays compound, and setbacks become mentally exhausting very quickly. What no one really talks about is how emotionally taxing that stretch can be for founders.
The constant throughout all of it was Ky.
Professionally, he was exactly what you’d hope for: keeping the deal alive when things stalled, pushing through obstacles, and making sure momentum never fully died. But what truly set him apart was how personally invested he was in my well-being. He didn’t just “do his job.” He showed up like a brother or a close friend would. He called on weekends, checked in late at night, making sure I was okay mentally and emotionally, and helped me talk through the stress when things felt overwhelming.
That level of care is rare. And it’s priceless.
I’ve seen a handful of one-star reviews mentioning that Acquire is “expensive.” I couldn’t disagree more. When you factor in not just execution, but advocacy, emotional support, and someone genuinely having your back through one of the most stressful events a founder can go through, the value is undeniable.
I give Acquire.com my highest recommendation and will be referring founders of all company sizes without hesitation. This was a hard deal, but it would have been far harder without them.
Truly the best acquisition platform I’ve ever worked with.

I had listed my app on other platforms but got very little inbound interest. On my first day I got more inbound interest than I had on the other platforms in 4 months.
Onboarding was super easy and simple to use and I chatted with lots of serious buyers. The other platforms really aren't anywhere near as good from a pure product and marketplace perspective. Support team was super responsive and I sold for a price me and the buyer were happy with.

I had a really bad experience with Acquire.com.
I listed my app for sale and received plenty of “interest,” but almost none of it was serious. Many buyers asked questions, showed excitement, and then completely disappeared. It felt like a marketplace full of window-shoppers rather than real buyers with intent or budget.
What made the experience worse is that despite not selling my app, I was still expected to deal with fees and friction around the process. As a seller, you invest time, share sensitive information, and engage in long conversations — only to end up with nothing.
There seems to be very little qualification or filtering of buyers, which wastes sellers’ time and creates false hope. Overall, it was frustrating, unproductive, and not worth the effort.
I would not recommend Acquire.com to founders unless they are prepared for a lot of noise and very few real outcomes.

I had subscribed approximately 13 months ago. I canceled my subscription about 6 months ago because I did not need it anymore. Cost was $390 per month. The message I received when I canceled it was "Your subscription will be canceled soon" I tried to unattach my stripe payment but it stated that the default payment method cannot be deleted. I believed it was canceled, then, 12 months after I subscribed, there was the fee on my card. I tried to cancel it again, same message, still not able to remove default payment method. Now I am trying to dispute it through my bank. Ridiculous.

Sold a business thorough Acquire on Jan 2025 for 6 figs, all went smooth, team responsive, helped with profile, pnl and other supporting documentation.
But, fee was high, for value you get, it's not fair enough.
I think it should be buyer/seller fee split or even full buyer fee like other platforms do..
