Great service!

I ordered a frame which it turned out was unavailable but was offered a newer one for the same price. It then arrived in two days. Brilliant service, will buy from here again.

Check if goods in stock before ordering online.

Ordered online. No mention of item not in stock. Queried delay after 2 weeks (their 3 working days for despatch and 7 for delivery). Then various explanations given like On the way to us, Manufacturer may be stocktaking (not true), Sent to our distributor instead of direct. After agreeing to terminate the deal I then had to ask for date when payment would be refunded. After no response I threatened to contact credit card company to recover funds. Finally got response and refund some 6 weeks after original order and payment. Suggest using credit card for online purchasing!

Order didn't arrive after 17 days and had to open a paypal case.

Ordered a pair of pedals and after waiting for 7 days I phoned the shop to chase the order. I was dismissively informed that I needed to email instead as it's a different department, apparently.

I emailed 3 times over the course of the next 7 days and didn't receive a response. After 17 days I called the shop again; answer machine.

I then called the distributor but they couldn't confirm anything because of GDPR, although they were aware of the order. They informed me that orders placed with them are sent out to the shops via 24 hr courier and also that my item was in stock. So why the delay? I asked if they had received many complaints about activesport and they suggested I check trustpilot.

They offered to call the shop on my behalf and informed me that Mark (the owner) would call me back directly. He didn't.

With no other option available I opened a paypal case to try and get a refund. The refund was accepted and the money paid back into my account promptly (the only positive!)

In summary it was a frustrating experience, I didn't receive my goods after 17 days and I had to waste time chasing the order and opening a paypal case. All the time my bike build remained unfinished. In fact a saddle I'd ordered from the U.S the day after I ordered the pedals arrived after 2 weeks. The pedals never arrived.

Would I order from them again? absolutely not. They were dismissive on the phone and the customer service was truly dreadful. Much better options out there, especially as it was a readily available component.

Great service, super speedy delivery.

Phoned Mark at Activesport mid-morning Thursday to check that they had the saddle I wanted in stock, ready for delivery, having been let down by other suppliers. I needed it in a hurry, so I paid a fiver extra for the courier service. Next day, early morning, I got the saddle - right model, right size, right colour. Chuffed to bits!
Highly recommended.

My retirement present to myself

On the 16th of November I picked up my new Giant Revolt from ActiveSport in Buxton. I want to thank Mark and his son for keeping me updated with the delivery time ( took about 6 weeks), the perfect setup of the bike and the great deal he gave me. All in all VERY pleased. I highly recommend this bike shop. Gary-Nuneaton.

Activesport review....

I purchased online a 2019 Giant e-bike from Activesport, but they had all sold out. They then offered me a good deal on a 2020 model, which I accepted. As this was a new model, I was told delivery would take 4-6 weeks, it arrived at my door in 5 weeks. I’m very pleased with my purchase and they lived up to their word on delivery, they were also prompt in answering any e-mailed questions. An excellent service and I would not hesitate in recommending them.

Great customer service

Following a delay in delivery of a hard to find product a quick email verified that it had been damaged and returned by the post office. A new item was dispatched next post and was duly delivered intact. Active sport were very professional in their approach to this issue and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

I ordered a cassette from the Active…

I ordered a cassette from the Active Sport website. Order confirmation received, followed 15 minutes later by an email saying they are cancelling my order due to supplier shortages.

Funnily enough the cassette is still listed on the website, however the price has now increased by 50%.

Clearly they decided not to sell the product to me at the price they stated on their website.

Excellent after sales

Having ordered a Thule car bike rack I was impressed with the quick delivery. However there was a problem with it. After speaking to a very friendly member of staff a replacement was soon sent out and problem solved. I was very impressed with the overall service and quality of product.

Thanks for the great service, the parts I ordered late August have already arrived in Australia this morning, now fitted to the bike for first ride of Spring down here.
I was unable to get these parts from Giant Australia, so was pleasantly surprised when I found your website.

Fox Float Factory DPS EVOL 2020 and great service

Ordered a Fox Float Factory DPS EVOL 190x51mm. It said in-stock on the website. Clearly wasn't.

Got an email asking if I wanted to proceed because they had to order it straight from Fox in the US.

A few weeks later it arrived and I got the latest 2020 model fresh new from Fox.

Super super happy with the service. Excited to hit the trails and see what's it all about.

Great price and service. Only 4 stars though because it said in stock when it wasn't. IF I would had been in a hurry, I surely wouldn't like waiting a month. It was totally fine this time since bike was still rolling with or without it :)

I placed a preorder with Activesport for a part that was out of stock with the supplier. They notified me when the part was due back in stock and they again when they had shipped my order out to me.

Ordered a part which was out of stock

Ordered a part which was out of stock. Got a quick email letting me know and asking me if I’d like to preorder or cancel. I chose to preorder. When the item was back in stock I received an email letting me know it had been dispatched.

It was unfortunate the stock levels weren’t working on their website correctly but it was dealt with very well by customer service.

I needed some spare parts for my Rockshox Forks.

I needed some spare parts for my Rockshox forks but couldn't see them listed on their website so I called them to see if they could advise what parts I needed. the guy I spoke to was very abrupt and didn't seem to want to help, he just told me that if the parts weren't listed on the site then they were unavailable, or my forks were too old. He told me to call Rockshox technical department and pretty much brushed me off. I should have known from that moment not to use this company.
However, after calling Rockshox technical (who were extremely helpful) I was supplied with the necessary parts numbers. I then went back on to the Active Sport website and found the parts I needed, even though I had previously been told they were unavailable.
I placed my order on 25/07 and other than a confirmation email of my order I had heard nothing until today 05/08.
I called the shop only to have the same guy as previous answer the phone, and received the same brash, unhelpful service as last time.
I was told to reply to the email I had received for my order confrimation, which I have now done and will have to await a reply.
I don't normally bother writing reviews for online stores, but having come across this site and seen the numerous poor reviews I felt compelled to write this review.
So my advice to anyone else is to simply not bother using Active Sport for anything as their customer service is abysmal.
As a previous reviewer wrote, I don't know how they are still in business with such a poor attitude towards their customers !!
I suspect I am going to receive an email back from them saying that either the parts are unavailable or that they have been lost in the post and it's my responsibilty to chase it up !

Ordered a part nearly a month ago and…

Ordered a part nearly a month ago and nothing has arrived. Instead, they’ve sent me a form to sign to chase through Royal Mail. Never in my life have i had to go through a process like this. If things go well (this is the second time this has happened with the co for me) then fine, if things go wrong it’s a nightmare. In my opinion. Avoid
