Predatory airline; avoid at all costs

Adam Vacations engages in deceptive practices by providing vague information about refund policies upon booking, and then refusing to provide refunds if you cancel. The website is very difficult to use, and the site's inclusion in Google Flights makes it seem more legitimate than it is. They took 2 weeks to respond to me over email and were very unhelpful.

The worst experience!

This is the worst experience I've ever had with this agency. They do nothing for their clients, but instead try to scam and get money from clients . Don't buy any tickets or vacations with this agency.

Exceptional Service - Saved me from traveling solo

I had a phenomenal experience with Nelson Kurt who called to confirm my flight. We learned I had booked a different flight on the same day from what I wanted to do because I am traveling with a friend. Nelson did his magic and was able to get me on the correct flight, the same one as my friend and got me the last seat in premium economy! He literally saved me for having to travel Bangkok alone instead of with my friend as planned. I’m very grateful! Thank you, Nelson, for the extraordinary service!

PREDATORY SCAM ARTISTS! DO NOT TRUST ADAM VACATIONS / ADAM FARES!

I am writing this to warn every traveler: STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM ADAM VACATIONS (also operating as Adam Fares) AS POSSIBLE. They are not a legitimate travel agency; they are predatory scam artists using bait-and-switch tactics to hold your money hostage.

Here is their fraudulent scheme:

The Bait: They advertise competitive fares to lure you in. I booked a flight for $3,586.81 (Booking ID: USAVB211841). The Fake Guarantee: Their confirmation explicitly states: 'Tickets will be issued within 24 hours.' This is a complete lie designed to keep you from cancelling immediately. Harassment & Intimidation: Instead of providing tickets, they ignore all professional emails. Then, they resort to harassment, calling from UK numbers (+44 808 160 9396) in the middle of the night (1:30 AM!) to pressure and confuse you. This is a classic 'boiler room' tactic. Ignoring Policy: Their own Terms & Conditions state that cancellation is allowed 'until ticketed.' Despite me sending multiple formal cancellation notices BEFORE any tickets were issued, they went completely silent, refusing to acknowledge my legal right to a refund.

Bottom Line: They take your credit card authorization, fail to deliver the service, ignore your emails, and then try to bully you over the phone at night. I have already filed a formal dispute with Klarna and reported them to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Do yourself a favor: book directly with the airline or a reputable company. Adam Vacations is a black hole for your money. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

SCAMMERS

On December 30, I purchased airline tickets for $517 through this company for travel to London with a 24-hour layover in Iceland. I was unaware at the time that this was a third-party agency.
After purchase, I did not receive proper confirmation. On January 5, when I contacted the company, I was told the airline would not allow them to confirm the 24-hour layover. Based on that representation, I was informed the layover could not be honored.
I then went directly to the Icelandair website and was able to confirm the exact 24-hour layover without issue. This demonstrated that the information provided by the company was inaccurate.
Because they claimed they could not honor what was offered, I finalized the ticket without the layover before independently verifying airline policy. When I later raised the discrepancy, I was told nothing could be done. I also requested that they cover a luggage fee since they failed to honor the represented booking. The manager stated there was “no way” to do so. I later learned they could have used my boarding information, which they had, to purchase luggage. This was another instance of misleading information.
Due to these misrepresentations, I accepted their offer to cancel and refund the ticket. I received cancellation confirmation and was first told the refund would take 45 days, then 30 business days. The 30-business-day deadline was Monday, February 23. No refund was received.
On February 24, I called again and was told to wait until Friday. I was also informed their refund department is only available by email. No explanation was provided for missing the stated deadline.
Despite multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly, the $517 refund has not been returned. I believe this reflects deceptive practices and failure to process an agreed refund. I am requesting immediate return of the full $517.

Adam Vacations’ Irish Ferries scam

Adam Vacations had a website that looked very like Irish Ferries. So I called to change a booking and they charged me £78, sending me a payment link by email. So I asked the helpline operator why it was coming from something called Adam Vacations and not Irish Ferries. She confirmed she was from Irish Ferries and this was their process. I paid, and the change was made.

I then needed to make another change. As with the previous call, at the beginning I said ‘Hello, Irish Ferries?’ And they said ‘Yes’. After the call ended and as I was waiting for the payment link, I got a text from Irish Ferries saying they thought I was being scammed. Apparently someone had rung them claiming to be me, to change my booking. So what had happened is that, masquerading as Irish Ferries to me and as me to Irish Ferries, they had tried to take a clip of £78 out of what should have been a free change.

I notified my bank’s fraud department and they will no longer accept transactions with Adam Vacations and will block payment.

I booked an internation flight with…

I booked an internation flight with Adam Vacations and had a horrible customer service experience. I emailed them immediately after I booked the flight because I realized the bags and seat assignment was not included in the price. The customer service agent and floor manager "Jenna" I spoke with was extremely unprofessional and rude. I asked her how much the seats and 2 checked bags would cost for my husband and me and she said $800! I said I wanted to cancel the reservation and she put me on hold and came back with another quote of $600. At this point I had read the reviews and realized I was being scammed. When I shared with Jenna that I thought this was a scam, she became belligerent and started yelling that I "humiliated her." I stated I am a business owner, and that this is not an appropriate way to handle business. They should have a set price for the luggage and seats, as all the other airlines and online booking companies do. After a heated discussion and several minutes of giving me the run-around, she finally agreed to refund the majorityof the flight, but still charged me the $175 in taxes. I had only booked this flight 3 hours earlier. I asked for an email confirmation of the cancellation and immediately contacted my credit card company to notify them of the charge that should be refunded. What a hassle! The few hundred you may save on a flight, Adams Vacations will surely make up for with the seat selection, baggage fees, and the horrible customer service. Do NOT book with this company!

“Rocky Start, Excellent Recovery — Thank You Lincoln”

My experience purchasing this ticket started off very concerning. After paying and receiving confirmation from the booking agent by email, the reservation did not appear with the airline when I checked. I was later contacted and told the ticket was no longer available at the original price and that additional payment would be required. Naturally, this raised red flags and made the situation feel suspicious, and I informed them I would escalate the matter with my credit card company if needed.

During this time, I contacted Virgin Atlantic directly, where a very helpful representative reached out to the booking company on my behalf to understand what was happening.

That is when Lincoln became involved, and the experience completely turned around. He took ownership of the issue, communicated clearly, and assured me that I would receive proper confirmation and reservation details within an hour. True to his word, I received the confirmation exactly as promised.

While the initial process was stressful and could certainly be improved to avoid similar situations for customers, Lincoln’s professionalism and follow-through restored my confidence and resulted in a positive outcome. I appreciate his effort in resolving what started as a worrying experience.
