American Integrity cancelled my insurance. Reason: Reduction in high concentration area due to catastrophic exposure management.

AIICFL Worse Experience Ever - Lack of Response 3rd Party Claim Adjusters

AIICFL sent me a low ball estimate and check, and then closes my claim in December 2022, Had American Integrity reopen the claim and haven't received any updates from AIICFL or Sedgwick (3rd desk adjuster) since. Reached out to the Florida Department of Financial Services and they contacted AIICFL who now has 50 days to response. Save yourself the frustration and hire a PA. Everyone in my neighbor has a new roof and I still have tar paper of some sort!

Useless and incompetent

Useless and incompetent. Chase after a claim an chase again and again then use excuse to delay, not notified them in a timely manner of claim. Not true and months have passed, no up to date response from Adjuster except with engineer that was January. Will attempt mediation.

American Integrity Insurance on the brink!…

This property and casualty insurance company in Florida has been such a huge disappointment and frustration. I continue to wait for some miracle to occur but there has not been one attempt to discuss their intial adjuster estimate and they totally continue to ignore all policyholders rights as I reviewed again tonight. Supplement claims submitted, 10 different adjusters, an engineer and second adjuster and now going on 5 months there can be no good intentions here. We are left with tens of thousands in damages, a so called lost check sent last month, never discussed with our PA, just decided whether it is right or wrong, the small amount sent, matters little to them. Back to State offices, writing editorial opinions, and meeting with two law firms this week. They dont get the luxury of taking my money and leaving me and my husband hanging out high and dry. Their operations and the actions of the contracted company Sedgwick hired to maximize profits and minimize payouts by mishandling our claims and that of countless others must be addressed tomorrow so we can pursue fraud, deceit and breach of contract. Run, don't walk away from American Integrity. Cheap is not the way to go, trust us, they are not even close to making it worth your while.

High and Dry

Since hurricane Ian hit us, we've been getting stonewalled by my insurance company. They are leaving us high and dry. They aren't providing information required by Florida law. We're 2.5 months after the event and they have yet to give my public adjustor even the initial coverage assessment. I've heard that they were a good, solid company. Based on their own words, this has not been our experience. We are at 83 days since Ian. The ONLY action we have seen from them was and adjustor sent out 2.5 weeks after the storm, October 15th. Since then, 4 desk adjustors (at least) and then nothing. Yes, I'm complaining, but with purpose. Because there is such little bad press out there regarding them, I figure, it's gotta start somewhere. If they would do what they're paid to do, we wouldn't be here with me asking your company why you don't live up to the values you claim. Isn't that a bait and switch? You know, polite speak for lying. And if you don't pay out what you are contractually obligated to, isn't that theft?

If I had the option of a lower review, I would give it.

American Integrity is Failing Us & many…

American Integrity is Failing Us & many others on Pine Island after IAN.

Our Roof was damaged severely & lifted requiring full Replacement. After almost 10 weeks we get a preliminary settlement of $7,881 to replace our Metal Roof, Soffits & more, Repair our Stairs & Risers, Replace 14+ full window Screens & Repair many other damages.

We already had roofers come out quoting $50,000 +- to replace the Roof alone.

This is a Total Insult & now we will be hiring an Attorney to handle this matter.

Terrible company

Terrible company! They are thieves! Hurricane Ian devastated Pine Island people are living in cars and intense. And this company is dragging their feet and does not want to pay out. All you get our customer service desk adjusters who don’t know what they’re doing. They offer you a settlement that is so low and then I looked at the paperwork and they didn’t even do the math right! This is a terrible company and I hope the insurance commission jumps on them. I will not give up. I will call the local new station. I emailed the CEO I posted on the Facebook page I posted on the CEOs LinkedIn page I will not give up I want the world to know just what a bunch of thieves they are!

Abandoning Florida

My premium doubled this year from 3200 to 5600 and shortly after I received a non-renewal notice from American Integrity to end in 2023. It appears that they are moving out of Florida.

No way to run an insurance company.

Have had my homeowner's insurance with American Integrity since Dec 2012. Paid out of pocket 3 times over the first 7 years for 3 roof storm repairs ($5800) while annual premiums increased from $800 to $1900 over ten years. Roof received extensive damage during Irma, filed a claim which was denied. Had to retain a lawyer to recover $28K in damages - American Integrity finally had to settle for $58K -more than double what they would have paid if they just approved the initial claim. Little wonder they're having financial problems. Will renew with a different carrier with more 'integrity'.

American Integrity Insurance = Complete SCAM business

Complete SCAM business. We just started our homeowner insurance with them and 30 days later they dropped our house claiming that roof was 15 years old. They did this in all documentation upfront. This is a concrete tile with 50-70 years lifetime.
Right before the hurricane seasons starts, company executives (basically a man and his wife) come together and decide that they will not insure any house with a roof over 10 years old. Wonderful business decision to save themselves while leaving most of the policyholders cold in water.
All policy premiums are collected and now the time comes to potentially pay for the claims, change the company policy!!!
Where does it say on the commercial law the companies can change their policies for prepaid and signed contracts suddenly and terminate the policies right at the time of the risks?
Where is the Consumer Protection Law in this country?
How the state and federal government allow Florida to become a playground of the insurance companies and scammers depict themselves as an insurance company !!

I can’t believe you pay for such bad service!

I can’t believe you can pay a company for years and years and then you have a problem and they refuse to pay. We had a small hot water heater leak in our garage and it came through wall onto living room floor and minor warped some pieces of hardwood flooring. Leak was caught right away and neighbor shut water off. We put fans around and ac was on cause it was summer. It all dried out and just left some boards warped. So figuring that we had a 1000 dollar deductible we didn’t figure we would file a claim fearing Ins company would drop us. Well a few months went by and we had health issues drs asked if we could have mold in our house. We said we didn’t think so. We then started cleaning and looking and did some painting it was then that we realized inside the wall along mopboard on floor was full of mold behind it. I immediately called Ins company. They informed me I couldn’t file claim until I could get a mold test and I asked how and she told me to go on google and look for mold inspectors. I did that and hired a mold inspector paid 685.00. I got the 45 page report and inspector told me this is easy to see what happened. And that their was 2 kinds of mold. I then called insurance company back to file claim and gave the licensed inspector report. They told me because I didn’t report water leak when it happened then they would have to hire their own engineer to come out. Which was a joke in my opinion. 3 hours of him being here and on the roof and in the attic and in my bathrooms at other end of house, under cabinets and plugging drain in shower looking to see if it leaked I guess.. so after that I call ins company over and over finally have the mold remediation guy that I had hired try and deal with them. Each week goes by with nothing but a I haven’t heard!! My mold remediation man showed up today asked if I had heard from Ins company cause he had spoke to them and they refused to pay and that he had asked adjuster to call me and let me know. No call to me. This is a very poor way to run a company! And why have a 10,000 dollar mold policy if it don’t pay? We are people in our mid 60’s get paid once a month. 685.00 to pay for test before claim is a lot since they are gonna send out their own engineer!!! Oh and I must add their was almost a 500 dollar premium increase this month. Years and years of no claims and this is thanks we get!! So how do I know if I lost my whole house in some type of storm that they would actually pay? This is so wrong!!! Never hired a lawyer before but gonna talk to one this week!!! If I could rate -0 I would! Very upset with them.. Mary

I wish I had read reviews of this awful…

I wish I had read reviews of this awful place before giving them money, I purchased a homeowners insurance policy, 1 and 1/2 months later it was cancelled, they claimed they needed a roof repair receipt ( they had one!) then claimed they need a paid in full (same receipt and they had that too!) then claimed, after taking my money, I lived too close to the water...but they never sent 1 person to see, the first was 600' (I live farther than that from the bay) then claimed 1000' (I live farther than that too!) I'm told on this review not to use attacks, but this non integrity outfit has lied 4 times and took money for a policy they no intention of honoring, making them thieves...I don't care if their lawyers don't like my review! Those of us that were hit by Hurricane Michael learned the hard way how unscrupulous insurance insurance are and american (non)integrity "proudly" carries on that tradition today....save your self the aggravation of a horrible outfit and read reviews and shop around before giving your hard earned money away for nothing

I received a non-renewal notice from…

I received a non-renewal notice from this company after 10 years as a customer for no upgrades to my house in 20 years...except they seem to forget that THEY paid for a new roof after a hurricane in 2017!! Then after being with them for 10 years, to "take me back" they required I pay for a 4 point inspection. After I jumped through this hoop they told me to "take me back" I needed to replace my HVAC system, which works perfectly fine and gives me $70 electric bills!!!!! Like everyone has $3000 laying around to replace a perfectly good air conditioning system. Also it should be known I am a cancer patient in a pandemic!!! Thanks for being heartless, uncaring and unintelligent American Integrity!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

My first experience dealing with this…

My first experience dealing with this insurance company’s customer service was after Hurricane Irma. They were horrible but I let it go knowing there was so many of us filing claims and waiting on adjusters.

Fast forward to 2020 and my premium has gone through the roof. In October my mortgage company sent them payment before I notified them about new coverage. I wrote to them on Oct 22 telling them I wanted to cancel my policy. I gave them my policy number and current address. They asked for an effective date. I immediately sent them a copy of my new declaration page.

I received a small check for the overlapping coverage where I cancelled out a month early. I then emailed asking where the remaining premium was. Their response was they mailed it to the wrong address and had to put a stop pay on the check after receiving it back. This is such horse manure. Why would I receive the small check at the correct address and why a stop payment? Why not throw it in an envelope and send it to my correct address? It is now December and I’m still waiting for $1,555 to be returned to me.

I do not recommend this company because their horrible customer service.
