The UI on the website is clunky af

The UI on the website is clunky af. Product won't send to the address I've given them. Customer service access is poor. Also, the available products seem to be things people don't really want and that's how it ends up on the airmiles site in the first place, the kicker: for the most part, everything is valued at premium prices. In general, trash system, don't use it if you have the choice.

Air miles refuses to honor the promised…

Air miles refuses to honor the promised miles from a Shop the Block that offered 1000 miles for shopping with 4 partners...we did so, yet have never received the miles despite numerous calls and emails, including pictures of the receipts. Corrupt company.

Very frustrating

5th time trying to call/chat with an agent - NOTHING. Ridiculous long waits
Can somebody tell me why??
Maybe its time to contact the Bank of Montreal (now owners) although big bank- no doubt same response and service!!!

Extremely Frustrating Experience with False Advertising and Unresponsive Customer Service

I am very frustrated and disappointed with how Air Miles has handled my recent experience. I shopped through their website expecting to earn 20X or 30X Air Miles, as advertised. After making my purchase, I didn’t receive the 2,240 Air Miles I was owed. When I contacted customer service to resolve the issue, I was told that electronic products were not included in the promotion—even though this exclusion was never mentioned anywhere on their website.

Despite multiple attempts to get clarity, they refused to credit me the missing 2,240 Air Miles, and have been unresponsive to my concerns. It feels like they are deliberately misleading customers, and the lack of transparency has made me feel like they are lying to me.

This whole situation has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I expected much better from a program that prides itself on customer loyalty. Air Miles needs to improve their communication and be more upfront with their promotions to prevent others from having the same negative experience.

Why must I wait 4 months for bonus…

Why must I wait 4 months for bonus miles to be added to my account? The June bonus award is "fill with Shell gas 4 times and receive 100 miles". I filled up with Shell gas 5 times, yet as of Aug.28, 2024, I have not received my 100 miles.

Unfortunately things have taken a downturn since BMO took over for sure! Yes bad customer service like a lot of places. Canned answers. We had a decision to make last year to decide where to focus since Amex got out of Airmiles but we decided to stick with it since it worked well for us previous years. READ the fine print Onyx people! It says “up to 40%” off flights but that can also mean 0%. After they suddenly raised the number of miles required for my trip by 3500 (for 2 people) i was super mad. Onux collector had the miles up by 4000 miles up per person this year from last year! But hey my blue card friend checked what it would cost her…..yup….exact same number of miles. Maybe they have one flight to no where that is 40% off. But all the rest 0% !!! We need to rethink BMO, Airmiles, Shell fuel etc. and find a better card. This was not recommended as one of the better ones but we tried and nope !

Worse than terrible customer service

Worse than terrible customer service. I booked a rental car plus insurance. The “travel documents did not include any confirmation or information about the insurance. After 1.5 hours on hold I had to hang up. Chat buddy was no help. Tried calling and chat buddy a second time. Was put on hold for both chat buddy and phone. This time had a call back option for phone. The call back was 3 hours later and the system didn’t work when I pressed 1 to be put through. After 3 failed attempts they hung up. They called again but the number still didn’t work. Called a third time and if I wanted to be called back it would be the following week (5 days later) I had to press 3. Although this would be too late to help with receiving documents on time I pressed 3 so I could finally speak to a live person to lodge a complaint. Again it didn’t work when I pressed 3. What would happen if I needed to access that insurance because of an accident? And these waits and phone calls were a total inconvenience. This is unacceptable and I will be telling everyone I can not to deal with this incompetent company.

Insidious wait times with the call service. You are set up to fail.

I used Airmiles to order plane tickets online. Once ordered I realized I had ordered a ticket type that would not allow me to select seat selection. The only way to cancel flights (which is a legal right within 24 hrs) you have to call. You cannot cancel online, and cannot cancel with the chat service. I called right away around 7pm (they are open until 10pm ET) and the auto answering said due to higher than normal call volume they were not accepting calls anymore that evening and hung up on me. Given I only have 24 hrs to cancel I called right away at 8am ET (when they open) the next day. I was on hold for an hour before I had to hang up for work calls. I called back around 10am and spent another 45 minutes on hold. I had to hang up again. I have now been on hold for 1 hr and 45 minutes (around 5pm). Is there any recourse if I fall outside my 24 hr cancellation window due to abhorrent customer service and insidious wait times from Air Miles?! I feel like I am set up to fail here. Will never use air Miles to book flights again.

Login is always broken, phone waits are torture

Login is always broken, giving me 'internal server error'. In the process of me trying many times, Airmiles locked my account. So I phoned Airmiles customer 'service' for help and spent more than 2 hours forced to listen to their messages over and over, driving me nuts, then finally got a clerk who told me I must send a copy of my government ID to them and then wait 10 business days. But this will not solve their 'internal server' problem. And btw, when I asked the clerk if there was a way to get through without such long waits being tortured by their messages, she said 'No, it's always busy, it's been like this for 6 months'.
When they had Safeway on board, Airmiles wasn't such a mess. But now it's hard to get points and their service is a disaster. I'm not sending them my ID, just throwing out their card. It's just not worth the hassle to deal with their chaos.

Holding for over 3 hrs.

I am presently on hold with Airmiles and have been for over 3 hours and 48:11. This is unacceptable. How can a large company such as Airmiles not have better customer service. How do I get the help I require if I cannot make contact with your customer service department? This is outrageous.

FFFFF UCKING RUDE AND UNCARING. IM FURIOUS AT THE AIR MILE’S GROUP FOR…

IM FURIOUS AT THE AIR MILE’S GROUP FOR NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE AFTER 12 pm west coast time which means the customers on the west coast only can call between 9 am and 12 noon. DISGUSTING AND INCOMPETENT PEOPLE AT AIR MILES,SHELL AND BMO. ALL DUCKING MORONS BUT A FEW VERY FEW KNOW AND CAN HELP. IM SO TIRED THAT I COMPLAINED TO BMO AND AIR MILES AND BMO OFFERED ME 3000 points but since I have a complaint against them pending with the ombudsman’s office I’ll take my chance ith them. TD CANADA SHOULD BE VOTED THE BESt COMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE,THE 1 to 3 min hold time and they appreciate the customers not like the BMO agents that answer the phone from the Philippines that are RUDE,INCOMPETENT AND HANG UP ON YOU IF YOU ASK FOR A SUPERVISORS. MAYBE ITS TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST BMO AND AIR MILE’S. GOOGLE AND SAFEWAY JUST PAID OUT A BUNDLE TO CUSTOMERS. All I have to say that I regret dealing with BMO AND AIR MILE’S FOR THEIR RUNAROUND AND DUCKING INCOMPETENT TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.GOD HELP METO ANSWER MY PRAYERS.
PS THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE I APPLIED FOR BMO AIR MILE CREDIT CARD IN MARCH OF 2023 AND STILL IN PROGRAM TO KILL ME I HOPE. CANADIAN COMPANYS ARE FRAUDLENT and don’t know what service is. Just go across the border and the Americans will teach you what service means in the corporate world. Most of you in business are amonkeys Ignorant Clowns imbeciles and don’t give a F about what we all think. To be honest google reviews are sO POWERFUL THAT IT SINGLE HANDILY MADE OR BROKE A BUSINESS UP OR THEY CLOSED. BUYER BE AWARE.

I wish there was less than 1 start…

I wish there was less than 1 start rating. Such a horrible experience dealing it for the first time. I booked the flight and wanted to change. Holding for one hour, then requested call back. The call back was after one week. Now again holding for 3 hours.
HORRIBLE, FRUSTRATING. I will cancel my program after this.
This could be the reason that were going out of business and they deserve it if they cannot take care of customers

My father and mother-in-law passed away…

My father and mother-in-law passed away recently and my mother at the beginning of August was put into palliative care I've been trying since the beginning of August to get through to somebody I've called nine times been on hold the longest 23 minutes I am now on hold for 1 hour 12 minutes I need to change my trip they have no return call system and you just left on hold wondering if anyone's ever going to answerI am now going to go to small claims court to get my flight and points money back

Omg to get a hold of anyone you would…

Omg to get a hold of anyone you would have to take a whole day off. I called on Friday of last week and automative voice says to many ppl on call to call back next day this was 1pm Friday horrible waiting expectations. This was my first time ever calling. I called in today waited all morning requested a call back option and as I was going to pick up call went to vm. I called back it’s now 1:50 they are not taking anymore calls. What a nightmare. Please hire more ppl worst experience.

I've had an Airmiles card since 2000

I've had an Airmiles card since 2000. I haven't redeemed any points or rewards for a quite awhile. I did order a reward Jan 2000. It never arrived, never got my points back and impossible to get a response from anyone or any chat, or ANYTHING.This is the bottom of the barrel rewards program. I think it is CHEAP, rewards are crap and would take an entire life time to earn one. Huge rip off and a joke.

Scammers

Scammers, lost thousands of points because apparently I "didn't use the card for 2 years" which is clearly no the case as I used it last year at the LCBO. Stay away from them and use Aeroplan instead.
