What a joke

I flew with Airmiles for my first time ever. I booked my flight about a month in advance. My flight time was changed not once but twice and I was never notified. Never emailed or anything! I found out when I went to check in the day before. The time did not work for me but because it was a Sunday and Airmiles is not open on Sundays I could not change the flight. I ended up buying a new flight and did not get reimbursed. Will never use my airmiles card ever again. I'll be looking into Aeroplan as it seems to be better.

Airmiles not good anymore

Airmiles is no more same like before Cistomer service S*** Program S***.Don't waste your time to collect Airmiles. Do some calculations.
$30=1miles $300=10miles $3000=100miles
100miles worth only $10 rewarded 0.33%
Better to use $3000 on casback card and rewarded 1.5% to 3%

Poor Air miles Service

I can only add to the poor Air Miles reviews. I had flights booked for travel May 2020. Flights were booked October 2019. Since Porter grounded it’s flights I was told I have 1 year to travel from the date of booking. Return flight must be completed by October 2020. I rebooked in May 2020 for July 2020, charged additional air miles now that I’m travelling in peak times & not even a week later the flights were canceled again. An email from Porter says to contact the 3rd party known as Airmiles. I demanded my airmiles and money back, asked to speak to a supervisor and was told no refunds on airmiles or money paid and there is no supervisor to speak with. I’m an onyx member and am disappointed in the program. I won’t be rebooking, I’ll cut my losses and never promote this program again. Every other travel arrangement booked with other agencies resulted in full refunds...even the Priceline price breaker hotels...that are non-refundable...everything was refunded expect the bookings with Airmiles. Not impressed with this loyalty program. Maybe if enough collectors complain something will be done to correct this injustice.

Hotel closed due to COVID19 and they refuse to refund our airmiles - who are they paying?

We had two rooms booked for Miami on March 27th and tried to reach Airmiles to cancel as our flights and cruise were cancelled due to Covid19. We would be on hold for 2 hours and then be cut off. I reached out to the hotel to see if they could help and received an email back stating that they were closed from March 23 -April 22nd. Can you believe that we can't get our airmiles back that we spent - 7,000+. Who are they paying themselves or the hotel that was closed. Lucky we didn't make it there we wouldn't have had anywhere to stay. I have the email from the hotel that bounced back saying they were closed and I am still pursuing it.

I can only add to the poor Air miles…

I can only add to the poor Air miles reviews on this site. I am another customer who redeemed reward miles for a flight, only to realize that I paid virtually the same as if I'd booked online once the fees from the airline (which are normally included in the ticket price) were accounted for. Never again. I immediately switched to cash rewards only.

But that has its own problems. Often bonus miles earned don't show up on the cash tape; when one files for having them credited later, there is no way one can specify how many miles are missing, just a notice that it'll take up to 120 days for the account to be credited. And there is no notice when the miles are supposed to have been added to one's account; so there is no way of being sure one hasn't lost the miles altogether. Air Miles is an organization that doesn't care a hoot about the customer and its website sucks..

Air Miles has the worst customer…

Air Miles has the worst customer service I've ever seen! They refuse to refund Air Miles due to a hotel cancellation due to Covid-19 - how despicable! Air Miles are a joke!

Do not waste your time collecting air…

Do not waste your time collecting air miles it is a complete waste of time. We are onyx members, and every time we try to book, the required points and fees have gone up, and you can get flights for cash, cheaper than the cost of the fees at air miles. Hotel and car rental is a 3rd party rip-off. If you ever need to contact someone for any reason, including covid cancellation, it is impossible to reach anyone by any method. Just a complete waste of time. Avoid air miles reward program

Useless program

Useless program. If you book your flight through them you are not equal to others who book through airline.
Customer service is the worst ever . Onyx status is a joke.

Don't signup for air miles!!! Save yourself!

Don't signup for air miles or air miles related credit cards! They use third party suppliers and blame them when things go wrong.

Can't contact them after hours waiting on a phone. No alternatives to reach them like email or requesting a callback.

Stay away! Worst company ever!

Faulty Knives that Airmiles.ca will not take back

I used my Airmiles rewards to get a knife block set for a house warming gift. Upon opening discovered 3 of the knives had cracked handles. Airmiles decided this was a warranty issue. The customer service with Zwilling J.A. Henkel is worse than Airmiles. I am getting no where with these knives. After being a loyal Airmiles user for many years I am throwing out my Airmiles card and getting something that stands behind the rewards they carry and not wash their hands of you the moment they take your miles. absolutely horrible customer service! 1 star rating is way too much for Airmiles.ca

Booked a hotel room using airmiles

Booked a hotel room using airmiles. They use a company called Getaroom to book for them. Getaroom is terrible and provides zero customer service. I was under the impression Airmiles does the booking and didn't find out until it was too late that they have another company do their bookings. Won't use either company again for Hotel booking!!

I ordered something from Air Miles…

I ordered something from Air Miles Dream Rewards for a Christmas present, a Honeywell Home RTH9585WF Smart Colour Termostat. When the item arrived for my husband's Christmas present, he realized that the wiring in our home is not compatible with this Thermostat. The package is completely unopened, still in the original shrink wrap packaging, nor is the box damaged in anyway.
I was told by Air Miles that I am unable to return the item even though I explained that we hadn't even opened the box, and it was for a Christmas present. Apparently there is a fine print line that says that items can't be returned except in certain conditions.
This is the first time I have redeemed Air Miles points since starting to collect them in 1993. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service I received. There is simply no reason why this item shouldn't be accepted as a return. Not cool Air Miles!

Get Aeroplan if you want Travel miles

Get Aeroplan if you want Travel miles. Airmiles appears to be a complete scam! I have traveled twice the distance with Aeroplan while waiting to travel with Airmiles points clocking similar purchases!

What a ridiculous and not transparent…

What a ridiculous and not transparent system. It was good years go but now totally not.
Wanted to go to the cinema with my wife in the middle of the week, so ordered 2 cinema vouchers (750 airmiles +3.3 euros). So in total I paid 6.6 euros + 1600 airmiles (100 were administration costs). Then tried to book 2 cinema tickets and ta-da: each voucher is actually not for a cinema ticket as advertised, but just a 5 euros discount. So, all in all I paid 6.6 euros (7.6 if I chose to pay administration costs in cache) for 10 euros worth of vouchers. No free tickets at all, just a lousy 1.7 euros discount... Totally useless...

Horrible customer experience Holding 1hr 53min for a Representative I am onyx member supposed to be high priority

I have been at avid collector onyx status and have been for a few years booked a flight the flight times changed air miles asked me to contact them hung up after 2hour and 2min wait no representative picked up. Ridiculous they asked me to contact them and this is how long I wait with no contact. I went online and tried to reach someone On their chat line and they were even less helpful and kept wanting to end the chat by saying there’s nothing more they could do for me I’ll just have to wait we have high volume of calls really over
I am giving up my AIR MILES cards and going with CASH BACK credit cards and will pay for my trips with the cash back the points build up faster anyways.
