Uncaring, unhelpful, unfit for purpose!

The interface is rough, the support staff are shockingly bad. Processes are wobbly and above all they clearly don't care about the customer experience.

Also they don't even offer any type of "carbon offset" program for travellers, even though (as their name suggests) they are closely related to the travel industry and all the environmental damage that it causes to the planet.

I am very disgusted and upset with your…

I am very disgusted and upset with your reward program and your customer service.
I place an order with my reward miles March 12, 2019 using 1760 of my earned airmiles. I received confirmation #998343381557369 along with the letter stating it would be approx. 1 month to receive my order.
Two weeks ago I contacted airmiles and spoke with Jemina who informed me that you had no emails/confirmation of any order, she did note the miles had been withdrawn from my account and eventually did find confirmation but nothing about the item being shipped.She informed me she would " have to look into it and this would take approx. 4 days.
I did get a phone message from Jemina saying to phone her ( approx. 4 days after our initial conversation ) I phoned the call was answered by Lisa I asked to speak to Jemina , Lisa told me she was unable to transfer me.
Thus I had to start my whole story again and was told there was no information of an order. I then emailed Lisa my confirmation information I was sent by you and once again told ...she would look into it and follow up with me ASAP. I informed Lisa I would like a follow up ASAP and either have my item expidated to me or my airmile points refunded to my account. Lisa informed me it would be 3-4 days for a follow up.
As of today I had received no follow up and phoned again. Unfortenatly I did not get the name of the person I spoke with today. I did ask to speak to Lisa or Jeimina again and was told it was not possible to transfer me to these people.
I explained the situation again, and the person said my airmiles had been refunded to my account, when I asked why I was not informed she really did not have an answer for me. I then asked X 5 if there was a manager of supervisor that I could speak with regarding this whole situation.
This person at first refused this request and after repeating myself X 5 placed me on hold, came back a few minutes later said I was getting all you Information ready and transfering to a supervisor now......and I sat on hold for the next 20 minutes and finally hung up.
This person also had informed me that the miles were probably refunded because the item I ordered is no longer available. However I looked in the rewards on line cataglog and my item is still available for order.
What is the point of having an awards program if you receive this kind of customer service and treatment

Customer Service has been one of the…

Customer Service has been one of the most frustrating experiences !! I called first thing on Monday morning and was told my wait time would be approximately 16 minutes. After one hour wait I got an automated message offering me to push 1 and I would get a callback without losing my place in line. About 3 hours later I got an automated call saying the system was very busy and please push 1 to reschedule a call back. 4 attempts later with their automated system not working, there was nothing left for me except to try once again later. Two hours later I tried again. This time an automated message came on saying they were closed for Family Day.
I called again the next morning only to be told that now that I had passed the 24 hour rule to report a problem , I would have to pay penalty fees.
Ida the customer rep I reached could not of been better and in the end did resolve it satisfactorily.

what happened to airmiles

what happened to airmiles . a flight from fort st john bc to vancouver is over 3000 airmiles in the low season ? it was 1200 last year ,900 2 years ago, there is never any flights for the low airmiles they advertise , somebody rich should sue , they shouldnt be able to price gouge . the website is bs , the high taxes is bs. trying to find dates and availability is bs ,,,,, i am onyx member and there is no deals to vancouver like they advertise . airmiles go fu yourself

Review of AirMiles.ca in Canada

This review is for AirMiles.ca in Canada. I can't give an opinion for AirMiles.ca back in Canada unless you join their survey site which is a censored and controlled by AirMiles site in the first place. AirMiles is junk and waste of time in my opinion. I wanted to book a flight to Paris France using my AirMiles "for free". It would have used 5400 AirMiles for this return flight plus then pay the taxes and fees. Those taxes and fees came to 711 dollars. I went on FlightNetwork and compared the cost of buying an actual ticket on the very same flights. On FlightNetwork it came to 778 dollars including the taxes and fees. The breakdown of my purchased showed the true airport taxes, fees, customs, etc. came to 139 dollars out of the 778. AirMiles is not worth anything and only wastes your time saving them then at the end it's a total rip off when you try to use them. No wonder the Provincial government here in Ontario was set to place into affect legislation against them a few months ago. Don't waste your time collecting AirMiles.

could it be worse???

short n sweet, the miles are unpractical to achieve unless you own a company, and the web site may have been designed by a 5 yr old.
