Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 123 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed deep frustration with unhelpful customer support teams, noting excessively long waiting times and extremely rude staff behavior when attempting to resolve urgent travel issues. Travelers frequently shared severe disruptions during their journeys, including missed connections at the airport, poorly managed transfers, and misplaced luggage that completely ruined their holiday plans. Though some passengers faced major operational challenges, a small group of reviewers praised the friendly cabin crew and surprisingly comfortable flights. These satisfied individuals particularly noted clean aircraft interiors, professional handling by specific employees, and well-organized services on their particular routes.

To avoid at all costs!!!

First and last time traveling with this company! I had a flight from Bucharest to Lisbon, which got cancelled after more than 4 hours of delay, they didn't say why, or to what hotel we should go, or how to get there... We had to figure everything out by ourselves. They put us in a flight to Belgrade and said that there we would also need to figure out how to arrive in Lisbon. I'm still in a huge line after more than 2 hours and without knowing if I'm going back to Lisbon today. This company makes Ryanair looks like the best air company ever!

DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE FOR FLIGHTS…

DO NOT USE THIS AIRLINE FOR FLIGHTS WITH A TRANSFER.
They are selling tickets with 50-60 min of transfer time in Belgrade. They will absolutely be delayed and you'll never be able to get on you second flight. We had to stay for 13 hours at the airport because of them. It seems they suffer from very poor coordination. Belgrade is also a bad airport for transfers, as following the signs for connecting flights leads you directly to the security check where you need to wait to be checked again!

Today

Today, at Athens Airport, time stopped and Air Serbia simply disappeared.
A severe technical issue affected the airport, and delays were inevitable. No one disputes that. What matters is how an airline treats its passengers when things go wrong. And today, Air Serbia failes completely and inhumanely.
While other airlines acted like guardians of their passengers communicating clearly, providing hotels, food, rest, and dignity.Air Serbia chose silence. Not a single official message. No clarity. No care. Just a growing crowd of exhausted people staring at departure boards that told us nothing.
Among us were elderly passengers, sick people, pregnant women, and individuals who had recently undergone surgery. Human beings who needed rest, certainty, or at the very least, information. Instead, we were forced to remain trapped in the airport for an unknown amount of time, waiting without knowing whether the flight would depart in one hour or ten.
The airline representatives themselves had no answers. Every question was met with a shrug. When I asked if a hotel could be provided so I could rest, the answer was cold and bureaucratic: “We cannot provide anything because the flight is not cancelled.”
So apparently, suffering is acceptable as long as it fits within a technical definition.
This was not just poor service. This was a complete absence of empathy. An inhuman attitude disguised as policy.
Airlines often speak about values, care, and responsibility. Today, Air Serbia demonstrated none of these. What happened in Athens should be known, remembered, and spoken about because passengers are not cargo, and silence in moments of crisis is a choice.
I am disgusted by this experience, and I share it to raise awareness so others know what to expect when they are at their most vulnerable

I would rate minus if it was possible

I would rate minus if it was possible! First, they miss connection flight at Belgrade airport, then asign you to a midnight flight without giving any other option, taking you to hotel after 3 hrs waiting, treat you rude, you’re obliged to eat what the hotel serves you (limited meal with only water as a drink). On top of all the time lost and the stress, you find out your luggage is missing when you finally arrive your destination!! Don’t ever book with that airline!

Avoid AirSerbia

Your airline just sucks. Never on time, Amsterdam-Belgrade is delayed for 2 hours - and they never announced the delay on the screens. When I asked the staff at Schiphol check-in, they said AirSerbia had to update the information - except they never did. So you sit in the airport for 2 more hours and there is literally NO information about it. The only mention of the delay is at check-in and otherwise it looks like the plane leaves as scheduled, except that it does not - because the company prefers to keep people on the edge of their seats. Not a Schiphol problem since other delayed flights were shown as such. Then 2 hours later they send the worst oldest shaky plane with chipped paint on the body and branded Air Bulgaria (??), and of course I miss my connection. I am talked at transfer desk as if it’s my fault and the line takes ages. The ticket is 1k euros - which was initially bought as the quickest possible route hence the price but oh god how I regretted it. It’s the 2nd time AirSerbia is late but the first time the plane waited. This time I arrive to the connecting flight gate and the screen still shows the boarding but the whole gate is completely abandoned - the plane took off. It was like a 10-15 min gap. Guys honestly your service is the worst, the whole airport stinks of urine because of your bathrooms and since obviously the executives don’t care - I hope you’re treated in your life exactly as you treat your clients

Formal Complaint Regarding Inappropriate and Discriminatory Treatment by Airline Supervisor

This is my formal complaint to AirSerbia, please read it!

I am writing to formally complain about an extremely distressing and unacceptable experience I had on the 25-12-2025 around 8am at Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam with AirSerbia female staff member (older female person, brown hair shoulder length, glasses) who identified herself as a supervisor at your airport desk.

During our interaction, she behaved in a highly unprofessional manner, raising her voice and speaking to me in a rude and insulting way. She openly mocked and criticized me because of a language barrier, which in itself was humiliating and inappropriate.

Most concerning, she abused her position of authority by making a personal and discriminatory remark questioning how I obtained a Dutch passport. This comment was entirely irrelevant to the situation, deeply offensive, and far beyond the scope of her role. She is not an immigration officer, nor does she have any authority to question a passenger’s citizenship or legal status.

Her behavior was so aggressive and inappropriate that passengers from a neighboring desk felt compelled to intervene, telling her that she was not the immigration office (IND) and that she could not treat me in such a manner. This alone should indicate the severity of her conduct.

I felt humiliated, intimidated, and disrespected. No passenger should ever be subjected to verbal abuse, discrimination on any part or power misuse—especially in a public setting and by someone representing your company!

I expect this complaint to be taken seriously. I request:
- A formal investigation into this incident
- Written confirmation that appropriate action has been taken
- Assurance that staff are properly trained in respectful communication, cultural sensitivity and professional boundaries

I trust that AirSerbia company does not condone such behavior and that you will act to ensure no other passenger experiences similar treatment!

They destroyed my luggage!

They destroyed my luggage about thousand dollars worth and offered to pay 50$ for it, can you believe it?!

If you have ANY luggage, just don't fly them!

And if they treat your luggage like so, how do they maintain their planes you think?

The airline was checking still luggage…

The airline was checking still luggage at the hour of departure , I realised I would not catch my connection in Belgrade and staff advised me it would be impossible, with only an hour and a bit before flights to catch the next one if first one is already late more than hour. They said to file for refund which I did and got a more reliable company to take me to my destination. Two months later Airserbia declines to refund saying I was a no show. Complete nonsense. After spending more than 90 minutes queuing to check ik my luggage and seeing how I would be spending the night in Belgrade… their organisation was incredibly bad. I would never ever fly with this airline and advise strongly against if you have other choices. They may be cheaper but at the end they are also CHEAP as bad and unreliable

Excellent Cabin Crew, But Ground Service Was Shockingly Bad

I recently flew business class from Chicago to Ljubljana (with a layover in Belgrade) while traveling with an 8-month-old baby and a small dog. The cabin crew on every flight was truly wonderful — patient, kind, and very supportive. They were the highlight of the entire experience.

Unfortunately, everything outside the plane was extremely disappointing. In Belgrade and Ljubljana, the ground staff were disorganized, uninterested, and in some cases, outright rude. Basic questions required long waits because no one seemed to know the actual procedures — and when they did respond, it often felt like we were interrupting them rather than being helped. It was clear that customer service was simply not a priority.

Additionally, my pre-selected business class seat for the long-haul flight was changed without any notification or explanation. I was placed in one of the noisiest, high-traffic seats despite traveling with a baby — something I would never have chosen. No alternatives were offered.

Between the lack of communication, the disorganized check-in, and the dismissive attitudes on the ground, the overall experience was far more stressful than it should have been — especially given the price paid for business class. The cabin crew truly did their best, but the ground service left a very disappointing impression.

When I flew from Belgrade everything…

When I flew from Belgrade everything was on point. When I flew from Nis, they took us from plane and organised like immigrants, the lady checked my EU passport like I would be criminal, the flight had 1 hr delays and nobody told us anything. Then it was delayed “only” 30 min. I had to rebook my ride home 2 times and lost 20€ because of that!!

Perfect service

Perfect service, polite and friendly staff who looked after us and those around us really well on both trips from Malta and to the UK.
Soft landings and well controlled cabin pressure helped ease an discomfort felt.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH AIR SERBIA – NEVER AGAIN!

I’ve never experienced anything like this with any airline before. Air Serbia refused to allow me to bring my 2-year-old child’s cabin-compatible Cybex Priam stroller with me to the gate — not even to drop it off there. They forced me to check it in at the counter, charged me for it, and left me to manage an exhausted toddler with no way for my child to rest or sleep while waiting at the gate.

Every other airline in the world allows parents to bring a small foldable stroller up to the gate — it’s basic common sense and decency when traveling with a young child. But Air Serbia’s staff insisted on this so-called “rule,” which I strongly doubt even exists, and showed zero empathy or flexibility.

This made my trip an absolute nightmare. My child was overtired, crying, and completely uncomfortable, while I was left struggling through the airport alone. Air Serbia should be ashamed of how poorly they treat families traveling with infants and toddlers.

I will never fly with Air Serbia again, and I strongly advise other parents to avoid this airline at all costs if you value your sanity and your child’s comfort.

BEWARE OF THIS DODGY AIRLINE! BAGS DAMAGED, NO COMPENSATION

Air Serbia damaged my brand-new bag. Upon landing in Skopje and collecting it from the carousel, I discovered that one of the wheels was broken. I tried to locate baggage services to lodge a report, but there were no ground handlers available at 12:30 a.m. Customs staff advised me that no one was on duty and told me to take photos and submit a claim online. I did exactly that and filed a claim immediately.

Three months later, after following up multiple times, Air Serbia informed me that without an airport report, they would not compensate me! They completely ignore the fact that there were no ground handlers available at 12:30 a.m. This seems to be their way of avoiding responsibility—by not enforcing the presence of a ground handling team so they can wipe their hands clean.

Disgusting company. I will never fly with them again and will not stop until I am compensated for this. To make things worse, they also change your flight at the last minute and put you on a charter flight under the same conditions as their own planes—which are literally falling apart.

Stay away and save your money!

Would NOT recommend!

What a **** company.
I brought an expensive empty water bottle in my bag. Checked it in in Denmark. Brought it to Albania. EMPTY!

On my way back they opened my bag after is was checked in. And they threw out an EMPTY CONTAINER. Why? What hazard did it pose.

Would give zero stars for the complete lack of service and this was just the last straw.

Would NOT recommend.

Choose another airline if possible. 👇
