Helpful just slow

I would like to thank the team for finally sorting my issue.

The score would have been 5 had it not taken so long, I can imagine this would be troublesome with a late booking.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company . I booked for two nights at a hotel and noticed they immediately assigned me the wrong dates. I immediately emailed their customer support and called several times within a two day Period with no response. I disputed the transaction with my bank, but algotels disputed this and said those were the dates I selected, when they clearly were not. I was charged $308 for a service I never used. Avoid this company

Abu Dhabi Holiday

We couldn't make our trip to Abu Dhabi due to the ongoing conflict.

Belle and the team were amazing. They messaged us every day and kept us updated.

Poor service

Poor service. I wanted to like this site but I booked a hotel in Amsterdam and I noticed there was no reviews for a number of months. I contacted algotels to check but heard nothing so I rang the hotel and they advised the hotel was closed for renovations. I'm lucky I checked with hotel and had booked free cancellation but I don't think I would use algotels again as they don't respond to emails.

More like a quarter star.
I booked through Algos, didnt look up reviews first. that won't happen gain. So booked had to cancel due to life threatening medical issue, I applied for refund, sent every thing they asked for medical notes from doctors hospital bill and still denied kept having people talk with me thru emails. this place is a complete scam, as I looked into the hotel they were to book for me i found that they never even booked the hotel. I would have had no where to stay. Still making an effort for a refund with no expectations. I found this through TIVAGO, I will also never use them again, I did check trivago and worst vacation decision ever. Go wit a name you know, Trivago needs to vet the companies they advertise, they don't. I was scammed out of $1100.

I received no support at all

I received no support at all throughout this experience. I booked and paid for a room through Algotels that clearly included a kitchenette, which was an essential requirement for my stay.

However, upon arrival at the hotel, we were informed that a different room had been booked for us. Not only did this room not include a kitchenette, but we later found out that its rate was actually cheaper than the one we originally paid for.

When I requested a refund for the price difference and explained that the kitchenette was a key reason for my booking, my concerns were not properly addressed. My request was ultimately denied without a satisfactory explanation or any effort to offer a fair resolution.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I did not receive the room I paid for, and the lack of customer support and accountability makes it difficult for me to trust Algotels again.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. Had a problem with the booking. Wrong hotel booked. Could possibly have been my mistake. But I don’t think so. Took constant chasing, phone calls, emails to be told they couldn’t do anything. Have booked with them a few times before with no issues. Wont be booking with them again:

Wrong hotel

Booked a hotel via Trivago in Dubai.
Paid but the reservation from Algotels came for a different hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Contacted Algotels and was told to cancel the booking and resubmit.
Did again and all okay Trivago end so paid, but again the reservation from Algotels was the wrong hotel.
I have checked my card statement and it also looks like they have taken more from my account. Do not touch anything to do with this company.

I booked fully refundable room with Algotel. When I was required to cancel my booking for personal reasons, Algotel refunded my full payment, within a couple of days. I would definately deal with that booking site again

Worked for me but use caution

After booking a hotel through Trivago and getting a receipt through Algotels, I was in a state of PANIC reading these reviews. I thought for sure something bad would happen, and when I called the hotel at first they didn't have my reservation, which freaked me out more. When I called Algotels to check in on the reservation, I was put on hold for 20 minutes and was hung up on, which made me convinced I was getting scammed, like many people here have said. However, it turned out that this was simply because Algotels had not yet processed the payment. Once I received an email receipt (which Algotels said in the booking confirmation would come separately), I confirmed with the hotel that my booking was good to go. When I arrived at the hotel, the room was exactly as I had booked it, which was great, and I got an amazing deal.

It seems like a lot of the bad experiences here come from people who attempted to cancel the moment they called the hotel and their reservation was not there, before the payment was processed. If you are booking through Trivago (and by extension Algotels) I recommend making SURE you are going to go on your trip and double checking EVERYTHING about your reservation. If there is even a slim possibility you will need to cancel or modify your reservation, don't book through here since they're hard to contact. Before you arrive, call the hotel to ensure that they have your reservation. That way, you don't run into any surprises. But if the hotel doesn't have your reservation at first, there's no need to panic. Wait until you get the payment processing email (which will be separate from the booking confirmation) and then call. It seems like they wait to charge your card until they actually book the room (which is probably also why there are sometimes some problems). I had a perfectly fine experience using this service but I've removed a star because I couldn't contact them easily. If you have already booked you don't need to freak out like I did. Just use caution and best judgement.

** need a say more. Booker Beware!
No refunds, maybe ok…but not being able to amend your reservation is unheard of. Book else where!

My experience has been far from the…

My experience has been far from the reviews that I have read. I have not started my trip yet, so I didn’t want to give it a full five stars. However, the hotel that we wanted as our first choice, we found very, very cheap on the website. It saved my family almost $1000 compared to other sites. I was a little skeptical on booking, but I was offered a period of time to cancel where I will be fully refunded and that’s what allowed me to go ahead and book confidently. After two days I called the hotel and I confirmed my reservations and got both confirmation numbers. I also had customer service reach out to me and confirm my booking with those same confirmation numbers as well.

SCAME ALERT

travelled all day to arrive at midnight for check in and the hotel says Algotels did not send over our reservation. The clerk at the Staybridge hotel said this happens all the time with them. So called the customer service agent and what help did they provide? Nothing. No resolution even after speaking with the Staybridge clerk. Further to this now after my trip is done they are giving me the run around to try to secure a refund. This company is a total SCAM and disappointment. SAVE YOURSELF the headaches. They are not worth the few bucks you will try to save. Use hotel directly or Expedia.

I booked through Travelocity

I booked through Travelocity, with the reservation handled by Algotels. Customer service told me not to cancel and to wait for escalation, but no one ever followed up. I was unable to travel due to COVID and offered documentation, yet received no response or support. Very disappointing experience and feels like a shady, unreliable operation.

Hotel did not receive Algotel payment

When I got to the hotel they said Algotel had not paid them so I could not check in. I could not get through to customer services. I sent a message through the portal and only got a reply a week later checking i could check in.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service! I accidentally booked the wrong room, wrong day, non-refundable booking. Realized my mistake immediately but was unable to resolve within the app I used to book. I reached out to customer service who was kind, attentive & professional. Addressed & resolved my concern within 24 hours. I have rebooked my stay for correct room & date & fully expect my refund for incorrect booking. Algotels communicated with me effectively & efficiently & I truly appreciate their assistance and understanding.

Reservation didn’t exist

Reservation didn’t exist when going to check in on the day of. Apparently they were informed that the hotel was full and they didn’t communicate to us until we found out in the check in date. They then tried to put us at a hotel that cost a fraction of what we paid. Ultimately they gave us a refund. We were left thoroughly disappointed and without the hotel that we booked for NYE.

AVOID

AVOID! Horrible customer service & wrong booking informations!
We booked via Trivago but were ultimately processed through Algotels. Our confirmation clearly stated that all taxes and fees were included, with only a deposit due at the hotel. However, at check-in we were unexpectedly charged an additional $59 hotel tax. Only after we pointed out the confirmation did the hotel kindly waive the fee.

Customer service was extremely poor—hard to reach and no promised callbacks were ever made.

Very disappointing experience. We would not book through Algotels or Trivago again.
