Quite clearly been ripped off. Paid £50 call out. A guy turned up at the venue checked out one part on the toilet and said he’d have to go and find it in the warehouse. He left and never answered... See more

Rude agent on the phone , put the phone down on me because I mentioned the hundreds of bad reviews, no wonder they have so many if they treat potential customers like that
I would leave zero stars if I could. Completely horrendous service taking full advantage of vulnerable people. No complaints service or way to communicate efficiently with the so called professional p... See more

They are bloody scammers..!
They are bloody scammers..!
Please don't get into a trap. First, they will ask you to pay 60 quid for on-call charges and then have to pay extra for labour charges. However, they took the money without sending pumbler. Now they have stop attending my calls. Bloody lier..
Be aware…these people are scammers…took…
Be aware…these people are scammers…took more than 2 hours to arrive and just for less than hour job made a bill of £845. Where as it was not a job more than £250. They charge £245 per hour which they don’t tell you over the phone. Will never use them again.
Absolute scammers
Absolute scammers. But I won’t let it lie.
DONT USE THEM told £40 call out and the plumber would tell me the cost before the work , admittedly he only dreaded the sink tap off. And they charged me £295.
Don’t use them.
Absolutely a rip off.
Had a burst pipe. Rang them up and they told me someone will be here within 40mins. £60 call out and then was told the price of the job would depend on labour etc. Was never told a price. Plumber turned up and he didnt even quote how much the job would be. He was here just under 2 hrs as struggled with the pipe. Once the job was completed alpha rang me up to tell me the cost of the job which was a shocking £440 and that did not include the £60 call out. £50 for parts, which was 2 flexi pipes and the rest was labour. Still haven't had an invoice. I would never use this company again. Even the plumber told me to ring him next time so I don't get charged extra by alpha.
Avoid this company
Avoid this company. They are scammers. They say that an emergency call is £60 plus a cost that depends on the job. They charge an insane amount (400+) for work that took literally 3 minutes everything is shady.
Scam
Scam! Feel so stupid that I got so taken advantage of. Am pregnant and was stressed out after our oven broke down whilst we have visitors- the problem was a 1£ fuse. We were charged £427. They told us over the phone when booking that it was a £60 call-out fee, plus hourly. I should have asked more questions. I broke down in tears when the man on the phone told me after the 5 minute fix that it would be £427. Horrible people running this comapny.
Absolutely scammer
Absolutely scammer , please please please do not use them, i got charge over £400 for 1.5 hour job which i have never been told the hourly charge and the job was ended just to seal the tab with teflon tape which i told the engineer the source of the problem and gave him the clue, but he still cut all the bath floor and left me with demolished bath and gone. THIS Company IS a absolutely SCAM .
A complete scam
A complete scam. Should be ZERO stars. Glad to hear from another customer that the company is being investigated.
Very quick to take your payment of £60 but the invoice came through as £72, which they didn't make clear on the call.
I was told that someone would be at our house within 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes. I called the number after 2 hours and left a message asking for an update. No response. After a while, I sent an e-mail cancelling the visit as they'd found another company through our neighbour. Our freezer was de-frosting! Nearly 3 hours later, I received a call telling me that the engineer was outside our house. I explained that I had left them a message and sent an e-mail cancelling the visit as they were horrendously late. They denied that they had received my call or e-mail!
The man on the phone was aggressive and said that there would be no refund. This company needs to be struck off as, from reading the other reviews, they just rip people off.
Interestingly, there were a lot of 5 star reviews when I first looked at the company. Re-reading them, they appear bogus.
Trust Pilot - when you have so many 1 star reviews, surely you need to alert people to this company!!
A total scam
A total scam, they tell you it’s only a £65 call-out and the they’ll asses, they actually slam you with a £220 hour fee and then at the end try and add a VAT charge. I’m paralysed from the chest down and bedridden, felt sorry for engineer who did what he could but I didn’t want to get him into trouble as he’s probably being taken advantage of too. This is a horrendous company run by snakes and I am bringing my complaint further and speaking to the government’s disability watch dog, my solicitor and the BBC watchdog programme. I have also been informed that this company is already being investigated, so please continue to lodge all complaints
SCAM! DO NOT USE!
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST! They will charge you for a call out but then do not turn up! It’s the same guy you speak to, one moment he is James another time he is Brain! They never turned up, but then when you ask for a refund they say I will have to check if you are eligible. Their website and invoice do not match up! Rude cowboys, who are taking advantage of people in vulnerable situations when they are all stressed out because of an emergency. They should be closed down! And not allowed to trade! They are taking advantage and should be stopped! They have taken advantage of my father who is a pensioner, and they seem not to care at all!
Horrendous company
Horrendous company.
Didn’t bother to tell me that I couldn’t pay by card to the plumber himself. He thankfully said although he didn’t have a card reader, DO NOT pay by card, you’ll be charged VAT as extra (which they also don’t tell you!). Plumber fee was extortionate even for an emergency and was not made clear at the time of booking. Serious concern for families who are already struggling could be placed into a further financial hole by this rip off business.
Avoid at all costs.
Scam
Wish I had read the reviews before paying fee over the phone I waiting for a refund and if not I am informing my banks fraud department and scam alert !!!
SCAM
Listen to the reviews. Charged £60 call out fee and that somebody will be with me in 45 minutes. Male arrived late after over an hour then told me it would cost £340 extra (excluding the call out fee) to check and fix what has tripped the fuse + any materials. What an absolute joke in these rough times to try and take advantage of people dishonestly for easy work that takes less than 30 minutes. I found a local guy who came out and fixed it for £100.
It is strongly advised to avoid…
It is strongly advised to avoid conducting business with this company, as their actions have indicated fraudulent behavior.
On a Monday morning, I contacted the company to request a replacement switch. I was informed that there would be a call-out fee of £50, to which I agreed. The representative also mentioned the possibility of an additional labor charge once a technician diagnosed the problem on site.
Upon the technician's arrival, it was confirmed that the switch was faulty and required replacement, to which I consented. However, upon receiving the invoice for the service, I was shocked to see a total of £270. When I inquired about the reasoning behind such an exorbitant cost for a simple switch replacement, I was told that the company is advertised as an emergency line and that is reflected in their pricing.
It should be noted that I did not request emergency service, and was not informed of the significant increase in cost for immediate assistance. This can only be described as a clear case of overcharging, and I intend to file a complaint with the appropriate online business authorities in the UK.
Furthermore, despite being informed that the replacement switch carried a one-year guarantee, I have yet to receive written confirmation of this guarantee, despite my requests for it in writing.
Avoid at all cost!
Paid nearly £500 for a temporary repair to a toilet cistern. Absolutely outrageous amount of money for a temporary repair. Charged 2 hours to do a 15 minute job.Even the plumber agreed they were expensive!
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
The pits
The pits. Don’t use. No stars due. Plumber arrived after delays and rearranged appointments. Leaking boiler replaced with new boiler. Still serious water leaks from new pipe work which will likely need removing and replacing.
Look elsewhere for a decent plumber.
This is scam!
My fuse box broke and I needed emergency electrician. They wanted £60 upfront - card number given over the phone - and told me that repairs will be around £130-£140 payable to the electrician.
The electrician from another company arrived. Problem was a faulty appliance, yet the electrician claimed that a fuse needs replacing, for which he charged me £80, and another £210 for labour. He took the allegedly broken fuse with him.
Company is not responding to emails asking for explanation of this situation.
Avoid them at all cost
This is a crook service. Charged us £70 upfront but then when try to cancel, it was not possible. No visibility/mention about cancellation policy both online and while booking over the phone
PLEASE AVOID
The worst company ever!! They are like a scam call out fee £60 ok we could deal with that. Then came and charged almost £300 pounds for 3 minutes of work half the time was spent with us telling him what to do. We got a handwritten barely legible invoice, customer service was horrible and will threaten you. It is not worth it I wish we knew our system was just resetting it self and if we waited 5 mins we could have just done it ourself. PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL SHOUT BELITTLE AND THREATEN TO INCREASE THE PRICE IF YOU EVEN SAY ANYTHING. I wish I had seen these reviews before I used the company I would have saved myself a lot of money but instead trusted them. Total scam. Honestly the one star is generous.
The worst absolute rip off
The worst absolute rip off
This is a third party company who charge extortionate fees the call out charge is paid up front so by the time you find out the price of the job you are already £80 down
