Alpha rooms, dont book!!!

Booked hotel in Jan 20 for holiday April 20. Couldnt travel due to covid… fast forward to Sept 2021, still no refund despite numerous calls,emails,false promises. Please dont book with them,terrible company and absolute joke customer service

This company is basically robbing…

This company is basically robbing people of there hard earned cash. You book a service with them then they cancel and dont give you your money back. This company needs to be put out there in the national press and taken through the legal system to oust them as the crooks they are. Be advised they are basically like the scam phone calls you recieve.

This has now been resolved and money repaid

Shocking company who steal your money. They cancelled our flights without emailing or informing us about this and have held onto the money. We booked a package holiday which included flights, hotels and transfers. No one gets back to you when you email. Today was the day when I have finally had enough and gone to small claims court.

Absolutely horrific customer service
Absolutely horrific customer service. Not forthcoming with refunds of a booking made over 2 years ago. Was told a supervisor would call me back multiple times only to never receive a call. I would advise to book with anyone bar this crowd.

Coming up 2 years waiting on a refund.
I received an 1 email after Today after have been emailing them since March and , this was one response I got after calls and emails again since March .. how they think this is anyway reasonable .. as soon as this becomes possible .. I’m pretty sure I paid you and you should give the money back..
please read below .. anyone who is thinking about using this company maybe think again.. customer service is far beyond disgraceful..

I paid for a holiday in 2019 and I’m still waiting on my refund . After sending 100s of emails and phone calls . They will give you lots of broken promises but never follow through . Please stay clear for your own sake

Booked & paid for a package holiday for family of 4 in May 2020 and due to travel restrictions our holiday was cancelled, ar would only offer us a credit note that they promised woule be refunded in April 2021 if unused. They have withheld our refund even though they have been ordered by cma to complete outstanding refunds. I have confirmation from aerlingus that our flights have been refunded to them but still no money back. Countless emails and phone calls with bs replies and promises that refunds are on the way .. tell you what you want to hear and ghost you. The only phone line they answer is new bookings and would be very wary of attempting to even use the credit note as they are so unreliable! Head over to Facebook..alpha rooms no refund support group and you'll see just how badly these cowboys treat their customers..almost 3000 customers are members of this group with the same stories ...never ever book with alpha rooms ..they will leave you high and dry ..how they are continuing to get away with this is unbelievable and totally unacceptable 😑

Terrible Company - Be Warned

If I could give no stars I would. Booked a 2020 holiday with this company, contacted them several times before my holiday to see if it has been cancelled due to Covid they kept telling me to wait until nearer the time. Couldn’t get anywhere. Eventually spoke to someone the night before we were due to fly and they said it had been cancelled - would t give a refund but a credit note which they said I could cash in after 30th June 21 but I am still waiting. Once again can’t get through to anyone and when you do they say it is being dealt with but have now been told that they are only dealing with holiday refunds for last March and I will have to wait until they work their way to my departure date . Have had my money over a year and I can’t seem to get it . Am now looking for legal advice.

Carlsberg dont do bad travel companies…

Carlsberg dont do bad travel companies but if they they did...Alpharooms definitely the worst travel company out there. Paid them in Sept 19 for a May 20 holiday, was given a worthless credit note that now I am struggling to get my cash back on. No communication just the odd we are very sorry and now they are saying they are an agent and actively trying to get my money back. DON'T EVER BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH THESE CHANCERS. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask when he robbed you!!!!

🤬🤬🤬🤬 I’m am beyond words at this point. I am waiting 14 months now from the date I was meant to travel and have been goes nothing but lies. After waiting a further 21 working days I have now been told my refund will not be processed until all those who paid for there holiday in full are refunded which might be done by the end of the year!!! And then they will begin my category (those who paid majority but not full) I am owed €1100 it is a lot. And my holiday was cancelled before final payment was due. How are they still allowed to operate and get away with this!!!!

Waiting since last March for a refund......Holiday was cancelled due to Covid...Alpharooms didnt pay the hotel we were due to stay in.

Still waiting for my refund..God forbid anybody anwers the phone or replies to emails...I got a reply through Facebook messenger 6 weeks ago saying that somebody would be in touch..Im still waiting!!!!!.Avoid,Avoid,Avoid

Absolute disgrace!!

Absolute disgrace!!! Took my money in April and sent an order request acknowledgment stating that they would sent a confirmation email within 24 hours. 4 days later still no confirmation email. I called numerous times and they could not find my booking request. Kept telling me that someone would call me back but never did. Ended up getting my money back through the bank and booked else where. Then in June, two weeks before I was due to go in July they sent an order confirmation, which I ignored as I had already got my money back via a charge back via the bank. Them 1 week before I was due to go they emailed me asking if I was still going. I tried to call but they still didn’t recognise the booking number, so I gave up bothering as I already had my money back. Then another email to say as I had not replied they had cancelled the trip. When I arrived the hotel said they had two bookings, I told them to ignore the Alpharooms booking as it was cancelled. Whilst on holiday they called to ask if I had checked in. I politely told them where to go and where to shove there booking.

This company should be closed down. As an ex travel agent this is the worst ever travel company I have ever come across. They were not even aware that I had got my money back via the bank. They obviously take bookings on the hope the price will come down before they actually book with the hotel.

I am writing to all Abta Atol trading standards, holiday watchdog etc. Do not book with this company

Absolutely disgraceful

Absolutely disgraceful, still trying to talk to someone about a refund on a holiday from April 20.

Have been on hold for hours over the last couple of days . Have sent many emails in the past but have had no response. We have used them many times in the past but never again!

Never book with them!

Impossible to have someone on the phone, they have overcharged my booking and since 3 months now, I am waiting to be refunded!! Unbelievable!!
Never book with them again!

This company is an absolute disgrace

Booked and paid in full on 07/01/2020 for a holiday to Spain departing June 3rd. This was obviously cancelled due to the pandemic. Contacted AR who advised they were issuing a credit note, and if I didn't want it I had to wait until October to claim the money back.

Spent three months from October 1st attempting to claim the money back. Emails were generally ignored and calls to customer service were no help. In the end I started a chargeback through Mastercard. They supported the refund but said it would be "temporary" because AR may appeal. Of course, they did just that in March 2021, so had to wait until June 4th for them to appeal again. I have just been informed they did not, and the credit is now permanent.

I would not book with this bunch of shysters again if they were the only holiday company on earth. I have spent around 60 hours chasing this up, providing evidence and on the phone. Only rated as one star as there is no zero option. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
