Just Awful

Just awful. I am still waiting for my refund and know I am not alone. Don't be fobbed off by the 'fully refundable' nonsense because it's a load of rubbish.
They will hold on to your cash to make you re-book, and add your money on to that booking. Trouble is, I wouldn't go near them again if they were the only company in the world. I'd rather not go on holiday! Customer service is really poor, if you can get hold of them - and each person tells you something different, generally with a cut and paste response. One person told me I am due a refund and the next said I am not, the next said I am... and so on. They haven't even sent me a cancellation notice yet - I changed my bank card so that they couldn't take the balance of my payment (they will just take it if it's due - even if you don't want to proceed). Don't go near them.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. Free cancellation is a complete load of rubbish. Read Section 15 of their Terms of Business as it turns out you can cancel but you will receive a credit note which is valid for a year and if you don't use it within a year you can then apply to get your money back!!! So they hold onto your money for 12 months! Customer Service is shocking I couldn't understand what the lady was telling me and she asked me if I had a hearing problem. She was very rude and unprofessional. Book at your own risk.

Be warned

Be warned - I would give Alpharooms a -zero. Due to Covid restrictions I emailed Alpharooms advising cancellation to which they confirmed and that the partial payments and the amount which I have paid would be as credit for the next time I booked!!! I further emailed (twice) requesting conformation that no more money would be taken from my account - to which I received NO response at all. I now find that they have taken further monies from my account for the cancelled holiday. Attempted to phone Alpha but failed to get a pickup response. Absolutely terrible terrible customer support.

shocking company my hotel is booked for…

shocking company my hotel is booked for 4th June in icmeler turkey hotel is closed till 23rd June tried calling email to change dates as they have been emailed to say the hotel was close then flight got canc and i managed to access chat and spoke to Kevin and jasmine and a credit note was agreed said no refund allowed they cancelled my booking and im now unable to access my account and no credit note absolute disgrace

Avoid

Omg didnt realise this company was so bad till i read reviews on here. stay well away take your money but when your flight gets cancelled dont want too know, avoid at all costs

Avoid!!!!!!!

When you ask why it would take a year for a hotel to refund your money they openly admit to using your return to pay other customers!!!

They have closed off their social media platforms but many people even after 1 year havent got any more back without threats of court

Spent 2 hours trying to sort out mistakes put me on hold then hung up. Have put in a dispute with credit card company should be refunded hopefully. DO NOT USE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I booked holiday for June 20 they owe me around 800 euro they said they send vouchers never did I rang and he said consider the email voucher I sent lots of emails lots of phone calls never replied they should be never supported I often used them in the past but never again.i had a week's holiday booked with love holiday and they refunded me every euro I paid brilliant company to book with I went to a few holidays with them never a problem

Please please please do NOT book with…

Please please please do NOT book with this company unless you want to be under a severe amount of stress. They are the most unhelpful company I have ever had to deal with and are honestly cruel people who do not deserve to be open. There are hundreds if not thousands of people out there with no refunds who are absolutely heartbroken. Do not ever book with this company.

DONT EXPECT A REFUND!
After cancelling my holiday due to COVID and receiving written confirmation from Alpharooms that I'm entitled to a refund they have since confirmed that I must wait 12 months because they paid for the booking with the hotel who will not refund Alpharooms for the same period. I checked with the hotel and it's a total lie! They have not paid for the booking at all, it's just an excuse to hold onto my money. You should also be aware they are not ABTA registered despite the claims made on their website - if you dont believe me check it out on the member search page on the ABTA website

If I could put 0 stars I would have , the service for this company is shocking I am still waiting for my refund from August, get told a different thing everytime I'm on the phone , completely shocking , I am now going to contact my credit card company to do a charge back, please avoid at all costs using this company the worst experience ever , I don't know how this company is even allowed to keep trading . Holding onto people money its shocking

Why is the holiday ombudsman not taking…

Why is the holiday ombudsman not taking any action against this company, it seems to me that they are all in the same bed together.I cant believe they are getting away with this theft of our money. The directors should have been taken to court months ago, they cant carry on using the pandemic as an excuse. Look at the blatant lies they are telling to draw in new mugs, sorry customers.

Disgrace of a company!!!!!

I would give this company zero stars if I could. During this pandemic is stressful enough for everyone nevermind mental health problems but this company is adding to these problems for everyone involved. Holiday supposed to be August 2020 and of course it was cancelled, although I was the one to find out it was cancelled by checking on my flights threw the airline company, zero contact from alpharooms to inform me the holiday was cancelled to which I informed them the flights had been cancelled. Was told I would get a credit note to which I have never seen and it would expire by November and if not used I would receive a refund in December. Fobbed off and was told refund in January, in January fobbed off and told march, in march was told would be last week in march and guess what...still nothing. Disgrace of a company and has no rights to hold onto this money. Refunds should be processed within 14 days of cancellation. Now to add to the stress of it all I will be going threw the small claims court to try and get this resolved and will NEVER recommend or use this company ever again. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Holiday cancelled September.2020 2 days…

Holiday cancelled September.2020 2 days before we should have gone. Could not get through to alpharooms after phoning every day for a week when we did get through they told us we would get a credit note which we still havnt received. I have been phoning and emailing for months my husband finally got through they said there was not going to be any refunds just credit notes. Have been in touch with the ombudsman and waiting for a reply. I have never had any dealings with such a bad customer care service. We believe now the government are involved so i will be contacting them to ask what our rights are.

Had a holiday in May 2020 cancelled due pandemic and now in March 2021 am still waiting for a refund! They keep saying it is being processed by their finance department but each time the date passes by that they promised it by. I fear I’ve lost my £k’s to these thieves. Disgusting customer service.

I contacted Alpharooms again today to request an outstanding refund form June 2020…

I contacted Alpharooms again today to request a refund as I wont be using my credit note that I was offered in the first place, i have made several calls that never get answered and live chats that always come to no conclusion, i was happy with the credit note originally but the party of 6 have now decided not to go away this year so i have requested the refund, Jasmine has said it can be claimed in June, in a nutshell refunds are being processed in order, now i did want the money back way back in June 2020 when i asked for it so its been 8 months to process a refund so the excuse it takes time does not wash with me and im being fobbed off, i know the hotel has refunded the money yet they wont release my money until June, well im sorry its not acceptable. The party i booked for now want their money and i think this is a fair and reasonable request. I Asked for a mangers name and of course they wont deal face to face but again fobbed me off with an email to send my complaint to, i also asked for the name of the CEO and Jasmine said she was not legally obliged to give me this but i will find it out somehow and contact him to see why he is not allowing refunds to me and other potential Alpharooms customers.
i have used Alpharooms for many years and have recommended these to dozens of friends and family but if i dont get what i want i will be spreading the word on how poor their customer service has been during this, i appreciate we are in a pandemic but they are still taking customers money and sending me emails to shop with them!!
lets see what response i get before i take it further, update to follow.

Never use this company

Never use this company they are an absolute disgrace.. They still owe me money for a holiday they cancelled in May 2020.. I have had no contact with them for months as they refuse to answer any of my emails, phone calls or on line chat. I am sick to death with them and am definitely going to take this further.. Shame on them...
