Amazon Fresh has become the worst…
Amazon Fresh has become the worst grocery delivery service to the point that I plan to contact the Attorney General regarding this company debiting bank account and then canceling orders abrupt. Poor packaging. Expiration dates close to end and the worst customer service in the ino.

Pathetic customer service by amazon fresh. Recently I purchased 9 packets of tata salt. Only 7 got delivered. When I raised a complaint. They told me that they are investigating the matter. 2 days passed nothing happened. I again called them, they told me that they will again investigate the matter as last investigation yielded no response. Then he told me point blank that he cannot help me further in this case. So basically Amazon fresh has no control over what is being delivered or how much quantity. So I recommend customers to avoid such a shady e-com app which can take your money and not deliver what they promise . And only the customer suffers in the end mentally and monetarily, their customer service team is least bothered about your plight.

You blew it Amazon Fresh! The quality of the store, lack products and empty shelves has been poor at best. But when you removed the card/palm reader that allowed one to shop and walk out, you blew it. That was the one redeeming feature of the store. What were you thinking? The Chevy Chase Lakes, Maryland store has been underutilized because of the empty shelves, poor quality and freshness of products. If you think taking off the touchless shop element away is going to increase customers, you could not be more wrong. New self check stations don't work. Attendant kept getting a frozen screen. I have been a VERY satisfied Amazon user with virtually no complaints since 2001. What were you thinking? You just shot yourself in the foot. This store will not survive.
Multiple orders cancelled last minute
2 orders were cancelled by Amazon Fresh last minute, twice in a row over two days. 3 times cancelled by Amazon Fresh in a short space of time.
Had to wait 3-5 business days to get refunds.
Often receive no notifications from Amazon that groceries will not be delivered at all.
One driver was right next to my house only 5 minutes away, before my delivery was cancelled last minute.
There are so many reviews on here the same, Amazon Fresh orders all being cancelled last minute.
Tried to give Amazon Fresh a chance to resolve their contracted driver issues.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE who don't comprehend and answer questions you didn't ask. System keeps canceling my orders using Amazon Synchrony card then customer service blames you and offer no resolution. I can't make the system accept payment so I can't order with THEIR CARD. It's ridiculous for customer service to not even try to do business or notify IT there's a SERIOUS GLITCH. I'm ordering from Kroger and Sprouts on my Discover IT card with 5% match and closing this Synchrony trash...I tried

Worse than the worst. From product selection, quality, pricing, to customer service, Amazon Fresh in Pasadena California makes Amazon looks like a failing company. They have a deceptive pricing scheme. They advertise attractive discount prices, but when it comes down to it, there are many fine prints (hidden conditions) that would make the "deal" to become "bad deal" for the customers. As to customer service, most, if not all, employees at the store from the manager down to cashier's, are poorly trained, unhappy working for Amazon Fresh, or simply don't care. The workers here appeared to be clueless, confused, undertrained, or simply don't care. This is a formula for total failure.
I will never spend a single penny on Amazon Fresh, even if the prices are lower than elsewhere.

Luckily, I managed to stop 2 other shoppers making the same mistake. Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere.
Don´t depend on delivery even if you select a time.
They ask a person who can not leave the house to place an order with a selective delivery window. They need the food. I watch them deliver to everyone and finally it is my turn. I get the text and I wait for my necessary food. They are within walking distance to my house and drive away saying they qare unable to deliver.
I've used Amazon Fresh hundreds of times
Generally, the offerings of Amazon Fresh are a bit limited in each product category, whether for fresh, refrigerated, frozen or shelf-stable food items, or for other types of household products (of the sort commonly carried by supermarkets). But most of the things that they do sell tend to be well-known or popular brands. They also sell several in-house brands at lower prices than nationally-advertised or more familiar brands.
I do find that their fresh lettuces are almost always fresher than those in my local supermarkets.
When purchasing any product or brand that's new to you, it's ALWAYS wise to read the listing carefully, & to note the overall rating customers have given the product, & to READ THE CUSTOMER REVIEWS, especially the most recent ones & the critical reviews. (Reviews can be sorted & displayed by those criteria.) Products can & do change over time, not always for the better. (This goes for regular Amazon Prime orders, too, not just Amazon Fresh orders.)
Ingredient lists & Nutrition Facts are often missing. Or conflicting info is provided. Label images may say one thing, while the comparable info transcribed into the listings differs. You may need to hunt for current info elsewhere, such as on the website of the maker, or on other sellers' websites.
Items may be missing from your order—even from closed-&-sealed bags. You may also discover that you've been sent substitutions, which are usually of equal or greater value. But the substituted items can be bizarrely different, not just a different brand or a larger size of the same item. Example: sausages instead of yogurt!
You can request a credit or refund for any missing or damaged items, & generally without having to return any of the damaged or substituted items. Their default is to apply an automatic credit to your next order. Alternatively, you can request a refund to your credit card or debit card.
Don't be surprised if the email that you receive informing you that they've granted the credit or refund cites your dissatisfaction with the product, rather than that the product was never delivered! That way, they pass the blame (in their corporate records anyway) onto either the producers of those products or onto the supposedly picky & whiny customers who are alleged to have been dissatisfied with them.
The entire Amazon site, not just Amazon Fresh, is basically hermetically sealed against any communications from customers (at least in any helpful way). Nevertheless, the site has elaborate pretenses for receiving customer communications. But they basically amount to unhelpful menus, frustrating runarounds, & typed online chats with bots who flunked out of AI school. And when the site offers you a customer service phone number, expect a frustrating conversation with someone who speaks with an accent to which your ears will probably require more time to become attuned than the conversation will last. (That's nothing unique to Amazon, though, of course.)
In spite of all of the above, though, ordering from Amazon Fresh can nevertheless often go very smoothly.
Until it doesn't.

Employee said driver had an emergency & had to return to warehouse. Manager said items weren’t put on the truck due to warehouse issue.

had to cancel my order manually after being told it would run late and I would be updated about it at 12:30 am! As a person with limited mobility, this was a terrible experience.
Delivery driver skipped the delivery

Regardless waiting in a looby for the delivery driver (Sahir) he came close to the address (tracking map) and turned around which resulted in a text message "Address not deliverable", no call, no text.
Amazon Fresh online chat only put partially items to 5 hours later slot "ORDER # 202-1979707-1976326".
Had to arrange for a call to cancel both and file a complaint on the driver.
Not going to use their service in future at all.
Not Happy with this Service
I have used Amazon Fresh several times over the past couple of years. There has been a few small issues, but not so bad that I quit using this service. That is UNTIL TODAY. I ordered 2 pkgs of twinkies. Not a box, just pkgs. with just 2 in the pkg. Well there were items on top of them so they were squished. I also ordered a box of Snowballs. The box was laying at the bottom of the bag with SIX cans laying on top of them!! Obviously whomever packed my order, really didn't care how they packaged my items!! Plus in ONE bag, they put 2 pkgs.
of pop in the same bag! One was 8 12 oz. Bottles of Sprite and an 8 12 oz. Bottles of Coca Cola. They were in the SAME BAG!! I'm 78+ years old and this was too much in one bag for me to pick up and carry into my house. All in all, I'm very disappointed and I seriously doubt that I'll use Amazon Fresh again. It WAS a great thing when Amazon came out with this service. But it sure isn't now.
AMAZON FRESH - NOT WORTH IT ANYMORE
We've been ordering from Amazon Fresh since the pandemic hit. Amazon Fresh groceries have never been the caliber of local grocery stores but doorstep delivery was worth it, pretty much.
I've just discovered that since November 2022, Amazon Fresh has been charging a tip that was never authorized.
Prior to November '22, the system never charged me a tip - I know that because we have placed over 100 orders since 2020 and a tip was never added by the Amazon system until November '22.
We always give a cash tip directly to the driver/delivery person and never (not once) have we authorized a tip when placing a grocery order on the website.
I never received any Amazon notification email, announcing that they would start auto-generating a tip for Fresh orders, and this was never told to me by any Fresh or Retail agent.
They are auto-generating tips based on a percentage of the grocery order, which the customer knows nothing about. The sudden site change was never noted to customers.
Additionally, as of February 2023, the previously "free" Amazon Fresh grocery delivery (for orders of $35 and up) has been changed to $150 and up (otherwise a delivery fee is charged). As of this month, Amazon Fresh delivery windows are 2 days later (vs. next-day delivery, which is what was previously available). There are new fees for everything.
UPDATE:
I guess Fresh customers have complained about the sudden rise in delivery fees. As of a couple of months ago, Amazon Fresh has lowered the $150 to $100 (for "free" delivery) but the jump from $35 to $100 is still crazy!
The numerous price hikes and additional fees for everything translate into AMAZON FRESH IS NOT WORTH IT.
Originally, grocery orders from Amazon Fresh were thoughtfully packaged (using freezer bags + wrap for frozen and chilled items) but they are cutting corners in every way now, as they no longer use freezer packaging (many items are thawed and unsafe to consume).
Call center agents are located overseas vs. in the US. Prices are higher. Hidden charges. Forced tips. And new delivery charges - I'm DONE with Amazon Fresh! (And Amazon retail is getting a little old too).

Amazon Fresh didn't deliver to a disabled customer...if you are disabled, homebound, and unable to carry your groceries up the stairs to your fifth-floor walk-up apartment, DO NOT rely on Amazon Fresh to do it for you. The delivery instructions clearly stated that the customer is disabled, that the apartment is at the top of a walk-up, and that if they won't deliver to the apt door, to take everything back. Instead, "Terrance" chose to ditch everything in the lobby and declared it "delivered". Thanks for nothing, Terrance.
