We received the shelving today, and I have to say I’m blown away. The materials look nearly new, and both the packaging and documentation are excellent.

Used manual forklift stacker once it’s stuck it won’t go up or down now , I have to find someone to come fix it. A representative from American Surplus was able to help me with replacement part and happy to say everything work great now . Thank you so much

The whole staff was very helpful from the beginning of my ordering process till the end. Shippment arrived as planned. After inspecting shipment, none of the shelves were damaged in shipping. After placing shelves in shelving units they were bought for found they were just about the right that I needed. I will keep this company in mind when looking for more shelving.

American Surplus was very helpful guiding me through setting up a new warehouse storage rack system.
The elements of the rack system were delivered complete, undamaged, and on time. For "used" items, they look to be almost brand new.
The pricing was competitive with two other companies in my area.
If my company expands in the future, I would purchase from American Surplus again.

I trusted this company to come into our facility & prepare a proposal to maximize our pallet space with pallet racking, as they told us they provided this service. They came in- twice to measure & provided about 6 different proposals with varying quantities of pallet spaces. This delayed the project weeks as they kept suggesting they had something better. It was clear, in the end, that they were just trying to clear their inventory instead of providing me a useful & maximized system for our operation. Over the course of 6 weeks, they delivered wrong size racking 3 times & had to swap them out for the correct size. We discovered in 3 locations that we couldn't even fit what they sold me- so we had to set up racking in areas we had not planned on & then after they left- we discovered that they did not take into account the fittings on the racks during installation- so the middle racks could never be used with our products- as the goods would not fit & they refused to come back & look at it or fix it- after a $20,000 install cost! They delayed deliveries- intentionally- even after I had paid over $100,000 in advance & they refused to deliver goods & complete installation on 2 different occasions. The owner Bill argued & insulted me several times in front of all staff for his errors- somehow were all my fault. He is a very nasty male ego driven individual who will never take responsibilities for their own mistakes. He is now suing me for not supplying him with decking- simply because he has the time, money & means to do it- so why not! When he in turn owes me over $13,000 for supplies he never even provided. Another example- He suggested I needed a bottom flow rack system - against my wishes (as I wanted to use pallet jacks to gather my floor goods) - but during installation- his install crew suggested we just stage the lowest racks at 6ft & then we could just walk under & get them. So we did this. Bill refused to give any credit for these supplies & they had not even been delivered- just scrap from one of his other jobs! What a total disgrace of how he treats his clients & even his own family & staff that work there- they can't stand Bill & his wife -are the worst people to work for! I suggest you DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE & find people who cherish their customers & their own staff!
Bill even called my City department to rat me out for not pulling a permit & possible other permits needed on HIS INSTALL- Which is not even required! But just goes to show you what a total scum bag he is & a disgrace of a human being Bill is. Please, Please- give your business to another company that will appreciate it! So to follow up with his lawsuit- arbitrator ruled in my favor on refunding all of my losses, but because his quote contract has a legal clause that CUSTOMER PAYS LEGAL FEES- then I had to pay 1/2 of his fees. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT SIGN A QUOTE FROM A SUPPLIER THAT STATES YOU PAY ALL ATTORNEY FEES EVEN IF THEY ARE AT FAULT. HUGE RED FLAG!!! HE ALSO HAS 18 LAWSUITS - 16 OF WHICH HE STARTED- HE MAKES A BUSINESS OF SUIING HIS CUSTOMERS!! STAY AWAY- VERY FAR AWAY!

Purchased Used Mezzanine through Matt. He did a great job working with us to find product that fit our needs. Very pleased with the finished product and the way we were treated. Would definitely use American Surplus again.
