We help people living in council, housing association and privately rented homes whose landlords have failed to carry out repairs; our aim is to get the repairs done and to secure compensation for the time our clients have spent living in poor conditions. The firm was founded in Manchester in 1984 and has focused on claimant litigation for over forty years. Today we have offices in Manchester and Liverpool and a team of around 180 people, including some 130 fee earners dedicated to housing disrepair claims and prosecutions under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. We settle hundreds of cases every month and act for thousands of tenants across England and Wales. Our work covers damp and mould, leaks and water damage, structural defects, faulty heating and electrics, pest infestations and any other disrepair a landlord is obliged to put right. Our team pursues the matter until the work is complete. We act on a no win, no fee basis, so there is no cost to find out whether you have a claim.
