Very good and all went nicely

Did what they promised, quickly and courteously. The proposed price was reasonable given the circumstances (not selling to an individual). They also gave us a lift back to the station.

I had a very disappointing experience selling my car, and I believe it’s important to share this.

Due to lack of time, I was pressured into accepting a price that was €800 lower than the final agreed amount. To make things worse, someone who never appeared in person but joined over the phone suddenly pointed out a barely noticeable “bubble” on the door (which required no repair) and a small scratch on the plastic bumper—worth hardly €8 to fix. These were used as excuses to slash the price even further.

Out of fairness, I politely requested a €200 adjustment from the reduced €800 deduction. But the response was shockingly rude. I was told I could take the car back—just for asking to adjust €200—despite my polite tone and openness.

On top of that, I had already taken the car all the way to a far-off garage as instructed under the ANWB agreement, just to fulfill my part of the deal. I had shared all photos transparently at the time of listing, and the car was in excellent condition for its value.

If I had more time, I would have taken the car back and sold it—even at a lower price—to someone genuinely respectful. I gave away a nearly new car at an incredibly low price, and still felt I was treated unfairly.

This experience has caused a complete loss of trust, and I would not recommend this process to anyone. The way the sale was handled—rushed, impolite, and lacking in basic decency—was truly unprofessional.

Whole process from requesting an offer to handing over the vehicle was fast and easy. Personnel at the Rijswijk station was also very helpful and kind. Overall it was quite a good experience.

Before I chose ANWB, I approached to another web-based trader which was unprefessional. Although they made high offer at the beginning, the dealer has offered much less than the initial offer. However, ANWB is really working with professional, very well organized and experienced staff which made me very pleased and satisfied. There was no hassle, no bargaining, no excuses to lower the initial guaranteed offer etc. ANWB is providing highly professional and very good customer experience and really recommended!!

However, the final checking of the car status by a technician may find something that the seller cannot find. This will trigger the re-assessing of the car value. It is a little bit unpredictable how much the car value is decreased.

Very easy and very simple.

Everything went pretty smooth. Only thing is if you request a price please accept the quote within 5 days otherwise if you request again with same info and they reduce the price. For me due to this reason I had a loss of 200 euros.

The online evaluation tool gave me a generic sale value of €21000 for my car. My car is in far better than average condition and the photos confirmed this. However, ANWB only offered to buy my car for €16000. I find this discrepancy both confusing and insulting. I sold my car elsewhere for a much better price.
