Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. £10 a month and you have to pay for literally everything, except original content from Apple TV. I cancelled the subscription the first 10 minutes. Would have rated it 0 stars if I could.

Do not fall for the free trial

They make it so that either their website doesn't work properly or that there's 10 verifications in order to even get to a place where you can cancel your subscription. And once they charge you, THEY will decide whether you can cancel or not. You can appeal twice. But ultimately they decide whether you have to keep paying them or not. Total scam. And Even more motivation that I will never buy anything from Apple ever. I guess they need my $14.06 More than I do.

Terrible customer support, they charge an amount for an unsolicited service.

I received an Apple charge of 35 PLN that I did not authorize, but Apple insists it’s a subscription, even though I never activated it. The worst part is that I cannot access my account: the system keeps asking for the card security code, then a phone number, and finally it just shows an error.

I called Apple support and the only “solution” they offered was to cancel the subscription, but they refused to delete my account. They told me I had to do it myself, even though I cannot access it.

Cancelled Apple tv+ They continued to charge my card.

I subscribed to Apple tv+ through my Amazon Prime Video account. In July 2025 I cancelled my membership with Apple TV+ and it continued to charge my account!! I have proof of when I unsubscribed through Amazon. I have just gone to apple.com and requested a refund. If you do not refund, I will call my bank and click fraud on your charges. They will be in contact. I will NEVER subscribe to ANY of your services again, as I use android products.

Apple TV is a ripoff

You pay monthly for Apple TV and then need to pay again to watch a movie. The movies you have pay extra for are often rubbish and very old. This is a ripoff.

NO Service

My negativity with Apple is similar to others. I subscribed & it was impossible to Unsubscribe even though following the steps on how to do this! I would choose a show, see the trailer & was unable to watch it. Constatnt reloading & saying that there is a problem.

Same old Apple.

I signed up for a free trial, started watching, and 4 (out of 10) episodes in, my account was locked for no reason. I don't own an Apple device, so it's impossible to re-activate the account. Can't contact Apple unless I log in (to the account they've locked!). So now they have my card details, and I have no way to cancel my subscription or contact the company. How on Earth is such a large company *this bad* at providing such a basic service? How are they allowed to operate like this? I can see many other people have had a similar experience!

Luckily my bank has said they can deal with this, but I shouldn't be having to spend my time resolving such a ridiculous issue. Apple shouldn't be offering a service like this until they can meet a basic, decent level of service. Disgusted!

I use to test software across devices, and every time it came to testing on iPhone, iPad etc etc, it was a nightmare. How anyone can purchase from Apple is beyond me. Rant over.

AppleTV has NEVER worked well

AppleTV has NEVER worked well. For weeks, I couldn't log on to the browser app for no reason. It would confirm my log in, ask for a code from my phone and then it would reset again, asking me to log in, like I haven't just done so and confirmed it with a code. Once I finally resolved this issue (it was a cookies issue but one caused by Apple, since they design their own cookies), the browser app then only played videos in 360p quality, despite having the internet to stream 4K comfortably.

Currently, it only works as a Windows app and even then, the subtitles are formatted very poorly and I don't know why they're different from the browser ones, when the browser ones are way better. It's always SOMETHING going wrong with this app.

I would also highly recommend against paying for AppleTV, if you don't have an apple device or ecosystem already. I don't have any apple devices and I made the account with gmail and as soon as my sister logged into my account for Apple TV, it hijacked the control of AppleTV to my sister's apple account and I had no more control over the app -- the app that I'm paying for! I couldn't even cancel it, if I wanted to!

So, this app never works as it should (either I can't log in for no reason or because now my sister's account controls the app instead of the email that is paying for it) and it's designed maliciously when it comes to Windows users. Why else would it hijack control over to the first apple device that uses it?

There are other free services, which provide a far better user experience than AppleTV does. How come a paid premium service is worse than a free service, where I could watch AppleTV shows? I could never say that about Netflix, their user experience was far better than the free services and made me want to use Netflix for all my shows. AppleTV makes me want to use a free service instead of paying for it, because I don't lose any money and the user experience is better. Literally, there is no downside of not getting AppleTV, like there would be for better apps like Netflix or NowTV.

Not being ripped off

My partner had apple tv he didn't have enough money in his account to pay it 1 month so I used my card to pay it as a 1 off I checked my account 6 months ago noticed they were taking money out of my account so I cancelled it and the subscription 4 times and I checked my account again and they took another 3 payments from my account so I contacted them again told them I wanted my money back that was on the 15th of July I'm still waiting for my money so I will be phoning them today it better be going into my account by end of the week I'm fuming about this not good

Spent 4k on a computer

Spent 4k on a computer, got a 'free Apple TV subscription' and they won't let me watch anything without signing up to a 'free trial' but then won't let me have the 'free trial' a I already have a 'subscription'.
Jobs may have been a narcissistic bully, but the products used to work.

Absolutely impossible to UNSUBSCRIBE to Apple TV+.
I tried for days and days, but are being sent around in circles and everytime I try to log in an "error" occurs.
Nut, no errors when they take money out of my card every month!!! No mail or contact number neither for Denmark (my country) or any other country to be found on their website. BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good shows, awful awful website

While there are some really good shows and films on the platform, the user experience is insanely bad. Like many others here I kept on being logged out and then when I try to log back in again, it sends me in a constant loop of entering my email, password, bank details to then only want me to do it again and again. This was unbelievably frustrating and they have lost my money because of this. Stupid website.

Waste of time...

For such a large company the set up for apple TV is ridiculous.
Was emailed an offer about a free 3 months apple TV after a recent purchase.
Once making an account it then said the offer had expired even though the offer was still valid for 2+ months.
Contacted customer services they
weren't able to resolve the issue.
It asked for a apple pin to proceed but because i don't have an apple device it didn't work. Waste of time.
