Wish I'd read the reviews first

Wish I'd read the reviews first. Next day washing machine ordered with installation. This is the 5th or 6th one to the same kitchen same spot and never an issue before. But no this one they couldn't do because of some nonsense about it being a metre away from the water pipe and not covered to do with an extension. The installation guy has a little screwdriver set like I own and freely admitted he isn't a plumber. Made them take it all away and cancel the order. Absolutely shambolic.

Awful service

Awful service! Ordered a basin with vanity unit and only received one handle, instead of two. The sink was also completely the wrong size for the vanity unit. After one failed attempt to collect it for a return, they eventually picked it up. I then heard nothing about receiving the correct sized basin. I also submitted a complaint and heard nothing. Now, nearly a month after the order, I still do not have a basin... Would not use again!

Don’t use!

I’m so glad that I struggled to get my payment through to this company. It was only because I didn’t understand why my payment wasn’t going through, so things were delayed, that I decided to look into the company. And then I saw all the terrible reviews. I’ve also just got my phone bill through, and discovered that a phone call to Appliances Direct cost me £5! I have unlimited free phone calls. Absolute scum bags. Avoid at all costs!

Broken dehumidifier

Broken dehumidifier less than12 months old after after six or seven messages to there customer care still no answer if they are going to refund or exchange would not use these again very poor customer care do not use this company

AWFUL COMPANY

Agree wholeheartedly with all the negative reviews about this terrible company. We cancelled our order with them on the 12th October last week because of them moving our so called delivery date yet again. We therefore have no contract with them. So how is it possible that they still have our money when we were assured that the refund had been processed and would be with us within 3-5 working days???!!!! It's now the 20th and no sign of it. Absolutely shocking. Wish I'd read these reviews before ordering from them in the first place. Supposed to be having a call off a manager. We'll wait and see. They're holding on to our money fraudulently and under false pretences which gives me no alternative but to file a complaint with the Small Claims Court if our money isn't returned to us by close of business today. We're pensioners so to hold on to it is disgusting. PLEASE FOLKS DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. I won't even call it a company. They're not worthy of the title.

Never deliver on time

This is the second time I have tried to buy something from this Company and it has not been delivered on the date paid for. Both times I had to take the day off work to receive the items and they never arrived. Won't be risking it again

i bought my first dishwasher from them. No help once problems started

i bought my first dishwasher from them. I paid for installation and for an earlier day of arrival. Received a text the night before delivery advising delivery could be from 0430 in the morning until 9pm. I did not think anything before 7am in the morning was normal but anyway they arrived at 7.30. The packaged dishwasher was brought into my kitchen and I was told the waste pipe on the machine would not reach the outlet by 1 metre so it could not be installed. Whilst they make it clear this was my responsibility there is no information on the product stating the length of the waste pipe. So this was my fault. I asked the driver if he could wait or come back whilst I went to buy an extension but he said no and that if I call customer services they will get someone to do it the following day. So he left with the packaged machine stuck in the middle of my kitchen . I am 73 and not very mobile. I had to remove some of the packaging to push the machine in the space provided out of the way. As I did so water dripped out of both the water and waste pipe leading me to think the machine had been used. Add some water mark on the inside of the door I was not happy it was new. Having explained this to Customer services yesterday and told them that I now had an extension pipe I said if they could not send someone to install it the next day and to make sure it was not a faulty machine that had been returned then they could take it away and give me a full refund.

To call them according to their website cost 13p per minute . They sent an email late in the afternoon claiming they called me today and they needed to know what I wanted to do and did I want to reschedule the installation. My phone rang 3 times and as I answered it went dead. I immediately sent my 5th email in last 48 hrs to ask why they have not read my emai of yesterdayl to get someone in today.

It just seems one fob of after another and I wish I had never purchased from them. I had a washing machine bought and installed by AO.com last year and there was no issue with the pipes and the washing machine is further away than the dishwasher. They keep reminding me that it was my fault the installation did not take place but it is how they have handled the problems since that I would give them zero out of 5 if I could especially the fact that they have not commented as to why a brand new machine leaked water, something the delvery guy would have noticed if he had removed some packaging ....or done anything other than take a photo saying one pipe wont reach and getting out the door as quick as possible. I could have saved myself a lot of trouble if I had known there was water in the pipes as I would have just said take it back!!! So it is my fault it could not be installed but it is not my fault it looks like it may have been used .

Poor/non response to queries

Prices are very competitive, but customer service is very poor, it's never possible to get an answer or acknowledgement from them regarding requests for information. Had to purchase from elsewhere in the end as they did not respond to my query for clarification on dimensions, which were incorrect on their website

What a shocking company

What a shocking company. They have zero customer service. Not interested one bit when an item is faulty, warranty, absolutely no point, they do nothing and expect you to pay for it. If I were you, I would stay well away from buying any item from these, take your money elsewhere.
Bought a cooker from them, brand new and broken.....no replacement, no fix, not money back. Not interested, and have had to pay for a brand new cooker, as I cannot keep going longer than 3 weeks without any cooking facility for the kids.
Provided all the info they required and still nothing. Managers will never ever call you back and sadly you have to give 1 star. They aren't worthy of any stars.
20/09/23 - Still waiting for a refund. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHOCKING

The wine cooler was damaged before it…

The wine cooler was damaged before it was packaged. We didn’t discover this is until we had opened the box.

The door seal was damaged because the metal brackets hadn’t been secured. When the cooler was moved the brackets slashed the seal.
Also, the wine cooler had dents in the left hand corner of the door and the carcass… these dents happened before the cooler was packaged as the box it arrived in showed no signs of damage.

We did not expect to find a damaged item inside an undamaged box!
Appliances Direct will not replace the
cooler because our complaint fell outside the statutory time.

This is because my partner had to have a major operation and was were given very little notice.
As a result, the installation of the kitchen had to be postponed.
If we had opened every kitchen package to inspect the items we would not have been able to move in the house and my partner had serious mobility issues.

I will not be making any future purchases through this company which clearly has no care or concern for its customers or pride in its service.

Ordered a refurbished Aircon unit from…

Ordered a refurbished Aircon unit from them, when the item turned up the manual ,Aircon hose and remote control were for a completely different Model! Spoke to someone over Webchat about it who emailed over the correct manual and insisted that the Hose was the correct one despite me taking photos to show it did not fit, I then suggested that if it was the correct Hose then there must be a fitting missing which they agreed to send out, the item turned up and was the wrong item ! I stupidly decided to call them and was kept on the phone for almost an hour trying to get them to send out the correct Hose, they assured me that the correct item would be sent out! Guess what! The item that turned up was exactly the same size as the one that they sent me originally and was for the Model that they had sent the Manual for which aa a completely different Make, I called them again to speak to a manager as I had had enough of their incompetence and spent a further 20 mins on the phone, The item clearly hadn't been tested before being sent out as the filters were filthy along with everything else that was wrong and to top it off I have just checked my phone bill and been charged £18! For my trouble! I will never order from them again , I will be raising a Charge back with my card company if the refund isn't processed in a timely manner! If I could give Zero stars I would!

Avoid at your peril.
Ordered a washing machine and paid for it to be fitted, in good faith.
8 months down the line, realised that the interior bolts had not been removed. Hence the noisy, jumping machine.
Money for fitting (non fitting!) will not be returned to me by Appliances Direct.
I always thought that the customer was right. I have proof from Bosch that the machine was not fitted correctly.
First and last purchase. They cannot be trusted.

I REACHED OUT TO THE STORE MANAGER ANTHONY "TRACE" PERRI VIA TEXT THE DAY AFTER MY DELIVERY WHEN HE DIDN'T ANSWER MY CALL AND AFTER HE HAD HIS COMPLETELY EMPTY FLOOR MODEL/SAME AS MINE PLUGGED IN AND DOWN TO 40 DEGREES IN UNDER 3 HOURS HE STILL REFUSED TO REPLACE MY DEFECTIVE REFRIGERATOR. HE NEVER SHOWED ANY EMPATHY OR OFFERED ANY APPOLOGY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO USE A BRAND NEW $1200 REFRIGERATOR. I CALLED HIM A SECOND TIME AFTER 3 HOURS OF TEXTING WITH HIM ASKING ME WHERE THE THERMOMETER WAS PLACED IN THE REFRIGERATOR WHEN I HAD ALREADYANSWERED THAT QUESTIONTHE FIRST 2 TIMES AND I TOLD HIM I WANTED A NEW REFRIGERATOR AND HE HUNG UP ON ME. AFTER HE HUNG UP ON ME HE TEXT ME OFFERING TO SEND A TECHNICIAN TO FIX WHAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A BRAND NEW REFRIGERATOR. I TOLD HIM YET AGAIN I WANT IT REPLACED WITH A NEW WORKING REFRIGERATOR. I EMAILED THE OWNER SAM PAK AT HIS ONLINE LISTED EMAIL ADDRESS AND GOT NO RESPONSE. THEY DELIBERATELY SELL DEFECTIVE/FAULTY MERCHANDISE AND REFUSE TO REPLACE IT!!! THIS IS A SCAM!!!

What warranty???

They have sent engineer twice to fix oven as element has blown twice in 11 months - now I'm advised by engineer its going to happen again as he can't say whats causing it.
Case manager says 'is it working now?'
Yes I said but will go again in 6 months - his reply - if its working we cant replace - iasked for an extension to the warranty if same issue arises - 'no' was his reply?? so £2k on appliances and treated like trash.
I have to sent emails to help me in small claims court when the time comes

i would not recommend buying anything…

i would not recommend buying anything through Applicance direct. Firstly the products they sell are mostly sub standard and it is by luck whether you get the good batch. Secondly my experience with them trying to resolve a warranty issue has been diabolical to say the least. A tv was purchased with advertised 5 year warranty. A fault appeared after 16 month and between them and manufacturer Samsung both denied that it was a 5 year warranty. i am taking this case through consumer rights to get some kind of resolution. Please be wary of appliance direct although price might seem good it is worth paying extra from other suppliers.
