Armor Concepts is an excellent, cost-effective and fairly easily-installed upgrade to home door security.
After installing the Armor door system for 4 single doors and one double door, I have the following comments:
- This is an excellent, cost-effective system that can be installed in about 20-30 minutes per door. It substantially upgrades the ability of any door to withstand being kicked in.
- The screws for the hinge and latchplate reinforcement should be square-drive and not Philips drive. They are fairly long and require quite a bit of torque to install and a Philips drive "cams" out too easily and rounds off the inside of the Philips head. A square-drive bit should be included in the kit or can be purchased at any local hardware store.
- After the pilot holes are drilled for the 3 1/2" screws, spraying them with cooking oil spray makes driving them much easier.
- Some installations may work better if the lip of the existing latchplate is removed so that it does not interfere with the same lip on the latchplate reinforcement that is part of the Armor kit.

Fantastic protection
I bought the EZ Armor as part of a whole security upgrade I was doing on the doors to my house. I installed Grade 1 deadbolts where there were no deadbolts at all, and of course the EZ Armor system. I am more than happy at the level of protection that this product provides for me. When actually examining the door and hinges during installation, I realized how flimsy an unprotected door jamb is, and how my hinges were attached with a screw that couldn't have been more than half an inch in length. Having long screws attaching the metal reinforcements to the frame makes my door an actual barrier rather than just a slight hurdle. I highly recommend this product and won't ever be without it.

Seems to work fine, but weatherstrip is an issue.
I installed the dead bolt door unit and it seems to work fine, but has pushed the weather-strip out of the way and now there is a draft. I called and spoke to Armor Concepts. They have a piece of weather-strip the sell to help with this issue. I have not ordered it yet. I hope to find something local. I think the weather-strip should be included with the Armor Concepts products as it's negligible to the overall cost, and will save a customer a lot of hassle if they need to purchase one.

Armor Concepts EZ Armor
Fantastic product. Very solid and easy to install. Besides peace of mind, it provides a superior barrier of protection between you and the bad guys. I highly recommend it and installed it on the front and back door.

Good product, came with good instructions and easy to install
The product arrived packaged well and with good installation instructions and ordered. Packaging was not damaged. While product itself was not hard to install, i found it a little challenging to install it to the upper frame of the double door. Door jambs were easy to install.
The upper jamb required some chiseling and polishing of the door but - again not the fault of the product. Overall, highly recommend this product.

We feel more secure with our sidelight entry door armor

I bought two door jamb reinforcing packages. Found them both to be as advertised with well written instructions. They installed easily in a couple of hours with common hand tools and drill. After painting they blended perfectly.

Armor Your Entry Doors
I first started with a competitor product & found it quite easy to install. Later, for three other doors I ordered from Armor Concepts. I found that even though Armor Concepts product was more difficult to install, it was by far more secure! I had to order some supplemental product from Armor Concepts to help reinforce the first door. I don't think you can go wrong using Armor Concepts products.

Moderately helpful
My home had two older mortise lock doors that I wanted to secure with their EZ armor product. Using their measurements guide, I decided to ask about whether their product would work. They responded promptly to tell me that the EZ armor product was not appropriate, but they sold a door jamb armor that far would meet my needs. I purchased the product, which requires significant skill to install, and installed it on my doors. I am happy that my door jambs are reinforced. I only wish it was as easy to install as the EZ armor.

Well designed, effective and affordable security solution. All new doors should come standard with Armor Concepts hardware in my opinion. Its simple to install, just follow the directions, anyone can do it. I have six entry doors between my home and buildings and after I installed it on the first two, I ordered additional product the following Monday.

Great product!
It took some time and effort to install. I had to chisel a little off the door sill so the door would close. I chiseled just enough so that the EZ Armor Jamb Shield would lay flat against the door sill, and it works great. Found out that I didn't need the EZ Armor Hinge Shield because my door hinges are on the inside of my apartment door. Live and learn. Great product!

my 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Armor Concepts product investment
this current order will be my 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Armor Concepts product INVESTMENT. This order will be going on two of my rental apartments. Two for the front door and two for the rear doors. I first purchased 2 Armor Concept products for my own house. It aided in securing and slowing down potential entry door threats. Especially as a new husband and father I wanted peace of mind but not just that, i wanted something that was going to give us and my wife and children (when I'm not there) time and protection. I wanted my renters to know that i care about them and their families too. To do this, I am putting the same armor, time and investment into their safety and peace of mind.
These products work. They are easy to install for any type of skill levels. The videos on Armor Concepts websites really help with questions and instructions. Especially for guys who don't want to ask questions but want to figure it out themselves. You too can always pay someone to do it too.
I appreciate other information on their website too. If someone really wants to get in a house, they will but this product helps to give you time but also to deter potential threats to never happen. If someone tries to get in your home by trying to kick in your entry doors but can't after a few kicks because of the Armor Concept products, your home, your family, your safe haven will stay secure.
I show my friends what I've done for my family and instruct them to do for theirs also. You should too. Don't fall for other imitators. Get the real thing. Armor Concepts often has sales. That means you have no excuse.

Armor Concept Products
All the Armor Concept products that I have purchased are dependable and are of utmost quality. With Easy Armor, I don't have to worry about making my house to look like a jail with barred doors in order to prevent break-in's. Also, my Police Force 10,000,000 Tactical Stun Baton Flashlight protects me when I am away from home. I am protected when I am home or away. I highly recommend the Armor Concept products!

Excellent product for home security
Have ordered from Armor twice now. First order was the original door reinforcement kit. Second order was for 2 homes. Armor Concepts has made the installation easier.

Great in concept
I ordered three EZ Armor kits for my home doors. All the info on the Armor Concepts website looked great, easy to install. NONE of my doors would close or open properly with these kits installed. The plates that screw on are so "thick" that it kept my doors from shuting unless I slammed them or pushed with all my body weight. This happened twice, I gave up on the third. Armor Concepts recommended "shaving" some material off the door frame.....I don't think so. They also recommended one of their installers try.....no one in my area was a dealer/installer, and even if there were it would not have been cheap. To Armor Concepts credit, they said they would take all three kits back, used and unused. My advice? Take the website with a grain of salt, it's not an easy install unless you have loose, sloppy fitting doors.

Great product
I had to make some adjustments to the door jams, because if your doors are already snug things will be very tight. Didn't take much time though, finished all five doors in less than two hours. Doors are WAY more secure and I sleep better at night knowing that my family is safer.
