bad customer service

I ordered 2 pair of shoes and loved one. I went to go return the other and found, strangely and unexpectedly (I always read the return policy before ordering), that the website said they could not be returned. And they were $344!
When I emailed customer service, their initial response was good: they promptly answered and said they can accept the return, and to await further instructions (address to send the shoes, return label). BUT then, that was 9 days and 2 follow up emails from me ago. I'm left hanging ... not knowing what to do. There is no phone number (Canadian site) listed... I called the U.S. based site and they said they couldn't help.
This is extremely frustrating. Never happened to me before that a company simply doesn't respond. Terrible service!

The customer service is absolutely…

The customer service is absolutely terrible. They have had my return for almost a month and they have not acknowledged it. I have sent multiple emails that they don’t respond too. I would not recommend this company what so ever. Absolutely ridiculous how horrible they treat their customers

I love love AS98 shoes

I love love AS98 shoes, sandals, and boots . They are super well made, soft leathers, and the designs are always interesting. Did I mention comfortable?!?! I am so thrilled that I can now get them in Canada without paying any outrageous shipping/duty/tax fees to get them shipped here. They even honoured a sale price that was on just after I made a purchase! Incredible customer service.

appointing quality and customer experience

I’ve ordered several pairs of shoes from this company. The previous ones didn’t fit me well, so I returned them without issues. This time, the sandals I received looked great and initially seemed to fit. But after trying them on around the house, I felt something strange — they caused painful sores on my feet.

To be sure, I wore them inside for a short while to see if they’d break in. Unfortunately, the discomfort got worse, so I decided to return them. To my surprise, the company rejected my return, claiming the shoes had been “worn.”

I was shocked. I only wore them briefly at home to test if I could actually use them. Sadly, I didn’t have photos from the moment they arrived, so I couldn’t prove their original condition.

This experience was very frustrating, especially considering the price of these items. I expected more understanding and flexibility. I won’t be shopping from them again — and I’d suggest others think twice before ordering.

Bad customer service

Edit: the company answered underneath my review that they care and will follow through if I only send them an email with my order number, which I did immediately. Not surprisingly, weeks later I still have not had a reply from them. Sigh.
I bought a pair of very cute sandals, was super excited to get them in the mail. When I tried them on, they fit weirdly where they wouldn’t stay in my foot but fly forward with each step. Wore them around the house to make sure. Then, I tried to return that pair. They told me: they were worn, we are sending it back to you. Meanwhile I ordered a smaller size- to see if it fits better. So now, I have two pairs of shoes that fit me, but are designed in a way that doesn’t stay on- and no way to return them. Beware, buyers- these guys are out to make money and don’t consider customers. Two expensive pairs of shoes that dont fit- and no one cares enough to keep a customer… too bad .

I have been longingly looking at this…

I have been longingly looking at this bag since it came out knowing I could not justify spending so much. However, when it cam on sale I could not pass on the opportunity. Love the bag. Beautiful colour. Only one shortfall: I wish the long strap was wider and matched the quality of the rest of the bag.

Truly a superior brand of footwear

I like the fast rate of shipping and receiving; it’s fantastic. I also love that the sandals, sneakers, and boots fit a wide foot, are true to size, and a little roomy. My feet are very happy. The quality of craftsmanship and leather are superior to most shoe brands I buy.

Unlike past purchase experiences with A.S.98 US, received several confusing and/or contradictory emails from A.S.98 Canada. Reply to my queries from Customer Service regarding these emails have been spotty--days later, or not at all. Understand shipping delays due to extra time for customs process, but really expected better given previous purchases. (P.S.: STILL do not have my purchase, awaiting reply)

VERY poor customer service

AS98 replied to my recent review with inaccuracies. They would like me to change my review. However, my review still stands. The issue has STILL not been resolved. I STILL have not been given exchange or return authorization instructions! Very simple! They indicate that they "replied within the timeline", which is incorrect. I repeat, they still have not corrected the issue and yet they are asking me to change my review. They sent me an email almost immediately after I left the review online, but have not yet dealt with the issue. I am simply asking for the return authorization and instructions! They also incorrectly indicated the date of my initial request..... I think this is the poorest customer service I have ever experienced, especially now that they are falsely blaming the customer for their lack of service.

• Return already approved – Your return was confirmed in our June 23 e-mail, and your original request date (17 June) has been fully honoured.

• Instructions & prepaid label sent – On 25 June (six business days after your first message, with 24 June being a provincial holiday) we e-mailed the prepaid label and step-by-step instructions. If you don’t see that message, please check your spam or junk folder.

• Why timing can slip – Our policy asks customers to send one e-mail per request so nothing is duplicated or mis-queued. Because eight separate e-mails were received, the system repeatedly placed your ticket at the back of the line, delaying the process. We understand the urgency and will review our wording to make that rule even clearer.

• Service standards – Six business days is well inside our published timeframe for return approval, and you’ll find many reviews from customers who followed the policy and describe their experience as excellent. We’re committed to ensuring yours finishes the same way.

If there is anything more we can do—whether arranging an exchange, store credit, or refund—just reply to the latest e-mail (once) and our team will handle it promptly.

I have many shoes and bags from AS98. The craftsmanship and quality of leather and work is amazing. Handmade in Italy, doesn't get much better. Always stylish and durable. Pricey, a bit of an investment, but worth it!
