I was hesitant to proceed with the assessment for my son because of past experiences with Autism 360. I had a letter in the post as a reminder to proceed forward with the assessment. I'm so glad I did... See more

From one autistic person to another - choose ASD 360!!!

I had previously been assessed and treated by ADHD 360 where my clinician raised the possibility of co-occurring autism (something I was already questioning). So when ASD 360 became available, I knew it was a safe choice from previous experience.

Both Angela and Sally on the clinical team were supportive and kind throughout the assessment and confirmation process, Liz during post-diagnosis discussions, and Lou (the ASD administrator) is responsive, friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful. She has answered so many of my questions so thoroughly and with kindness every time. Every staff member, much like the ADHD team, I’ve spoken to, has the patience of a saint! Even when I requested some minor tweaks in wording to my diagnosis letter (which could’ve been down to perception of the wording) - they were actioned so quickly!

Whether or not if you are an existing patient of ADHD 360, if you are curious about, questioning, or seeking an autism assessment - from one autistic person to another, pick ASD 360!!!! Even if it’s just to ask a question, they’ve been so kind, calming, empathetic, helpful, and understanding - and they are willing to consult with autistic people on improvements to the process along to way.
I cannot thank the team enough and I will stop typing now or it will end up 3x the length :)

A very new service - and it shows

ASD360 is a sister service to ADHD360. ADHD360 has been around a little while, and I'm currently working with them separately for an ADHD diagnosis. I was hoping that ASD360 would benefit from ADHD360's set up and experience, but this unfortunately wasn't the case.

I want to start by saying that my assessor herself was excellent. She was patient, kind, understanding of the stress a diagnostic assessment can cause, and up-to-date on current research. I've had an NHS autism assessment in the past and it was very poor in comparison, and somewhat traumatic. This wasn't the case with the diagnostic assessment with ASD360.

That being said, just about everything else had room for improvement. ASD360's explanation of their pricing and process on the site is unclear, and they do little to guide or inform you once you've signed up for the service. The website is only just functional, and I had to contact customer service numerous times to confirm appointments, payments, etc. (though customer service was always responsive). They use Skype, of all things, to conduct the assessment, and one of my two assessors had very poor internet and so I was assessed by only one assessor (despite paying for two).

On payment... not half an hour after my assessment, ASD360 called me and asked for all £1,200.00, in a single payment, within 2-3 days time from receiving the invoice. This came as an immense shock as I know their sister service offers some degree of payment plan. Neither the website or customer service made clear the payment process, or quite what you're paying for, at any point, and my assessor was quite apologetic that I'd been given such an unpleasant shock.

When I raised this with customer service, 'management' said that there was nothing they could do. The service, bar the assessment itself, is not autistic-friendly, and clearly caters primarily to non-autistic carers seeking a diagnosis for children (at least one of the intake questionnaires was worded 'Does the child...').

They also then went ahead and sent my letter of diagnosis to my GP without clear agreement from myself, which was the cherry on the cake.

ASD360 is a very new service, and it shows. I'd give it a couple of months, or at the very least, be prepared to pay that meaty sum all in one go and put up with some old tech and unhelpful / non-functional user design... as well as customer service management that isn't on your side. Again, though - the assessment itself was brilliant.

Hi Emma,
I apologise that elements of your Autism 360 experience has not met your, expectations.

I appreciate you choosing us for your assessment, and am glad that your assessment was undertaken with compassion, particularly given your past experience of similar assessments.

In terms of the other aspects of your experience, your feedback is valued. As you recognise, we have only recently started offering autism assessments, having offered ADHD assessments through ADHD 360 for a number of years. Since your assessment there have been a number of changes to our internal systems, and further developments in progress, much of which reflects the feedback you have shared with us.

Our intention is, and always will be, to be autistic friendly, designed for the person being assessed. Many of our service changes will hopefully ensure that the experience of those coming through the service now will mean that it feels person centred, as intended.

We have reviewed, and continue to review, key aspects of our website. I hope the pricing feels very clear for those looking at the website in recent weeks.

if you would like to talk about your experience further, as I am always wanting to accommodate all feedback given to us, please get in touch via the enquires@asd-360.com email address and we can talk further.

Many thanks,
Liz
