Don't do online !!!
Aw what can I say. I have been getting Asda deliveries for quite a few years. Stopped for a couple of years and resumed 6 months ago. This whole thing of "return to the driver and you won't be charged" is total nonsense. I keep handing back and keep having to request a refund as am still charged Then tonight received my order with 30 yogurts advertised as having 10+ days on website but apart from 6 the rest expired within 8 days. Do they chose short dates deliberately???. Declined refund online ...by the sounds of it because I have asked for too many....not my fault ...your drivers fail to process the handbacks!!!! With that said customer services were good and have assured me I will be refunded. Regarding drivers they are generally very pleasant but real consistency in failing to remove returns from the bill. Cancelled my delivery pass ..thankfully was paying monthly so had a get out. So very disappointing...these negative reviews cannot be good for business. Asda sort yourself
Get delivery once a week
Get delivery once a week , as disabled, been late a few times, but living in Manchester expect it , with football match days, and traffic, been lager with Amazon fresh and cancelled Christmas Eve, 4 pm, had good driver service and very helpful only one thing substitutes, order
SCAM AT HIGH LEVEL
Attention, you made your order and product are in stock, when they delivered they charge you a minimum fee because they didn't had the products that says available when you buy. This is another type of scam at high level.I end up to pay 12£for 2 chocolate bar, customer service says for a refund I need to turn back the chocolate bars in one store out of London.
SCAM AT A HIGH LEVEL,SHAME
If you don't have the products that it's shows on stock when I buy,why are you charging me?I pay a different fee for delivery and the product arrive without being packed or any sort of package
I wish I could leave no stars!
I wish I could leave no stars!
What an appalling company, who have this false advertising campaign claiming to help the pockets of everyday people - lie!
I have been scammed out of £69 for a delivery saver (joke) pass for:
Unfriendly drivers
Missing items
Damaged items
Short or out of date food
App that doesn’t work so you can’t amend your shop
And the most appalling customer service department I have ever come across.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
Every time I try to amend my order on…
Every time I try to amend my order on the evening before my delivery, the Asda website won't let me check out. I have informed customer service and they say that they have sorted it now, but after 6 months , they have not, and they don't seem to be listening. When my delivery contract ends, I won't be renewing it. Very annoyed customer.
I ordered my groceries Wednesday 7th…
I ordered my groceries Wednesday 7th January 2026 . 98 pounds was taken out of my account, many items not available so the final Bill was 66 pounds.. I rang them up and they said I will not be charged but I was charged and not refunded for the items that was not available. Friday 9th January my Bank account was empty and 52 pounds was taken out of my account, I contacted the bank they said asda took the 52 pounds... I contacted asda again and they said I've been over charged and I have to wait 5 days , this has happened twice in the past and I wasn't refunded but that was for 8 pounds and I didn't want to be stressed but this time was to much to let it go. Don't use asda online, they are not to be trusted. Customer service is terrible.. my bank customer service is no better.
Abysmal customer service!
Had a delivery booked for 12.30/1.30pm. No-one arrived by 3pm so phoned for an update. Was told 4.50pm. Phoned at 5pm and apparently they were outside the house! Looked everywhere but couldn't find the elusive Asda delivery van. Phoned again, this time we were told the driver had experienced vehicle issues and estimated delivery was 5.45pm. Fingers crossed.
I realise the roads may be bad with snow and would have been very accepting of honest delays or issues and planned around it (the roads from town to us are fine tho!). My main gripe is we didn't receive any delivery delay notifications from Asda. If we'd been kept informed by email/text/call we could at least have organised our day. Rubbish customer service.
*The delivery didn't arrive - we still weren't contacted by Asda Customer Services and the payment has been allocated from my bank. No food for us until it's refunded which will take up to 5 days apparently.
** 2 days later and my account shows the order was delivered!! Unbelievable! Refund of payment hasn't even been issued yet!
Ever wondered why you get so many…
Ever wondered why you get so many substitutes or unavailable items in your Asda shopping? Well here is why, they start picking orders at 4 am when the shelves are empty, the bread has not been delivered and if like me you do not want a delivery until 12/1 that mean your shopping was picked 8/ 9 hours before delivery. I cancelled my order after they messaged me this morning before 7 am to tell me about substitutes at 1 pm they tried to deliver turned them away.
Ordered Christmas dinner grocery order
Ordered Christmas dinner grocery order. 90% of the order was wrong with completely inappropriate substitutions, I refused these, the items I was left with were 2 x packs of pepsi max, one was damaged and a trifle in short date and a missing jar of cranberry sauce. The chat on Facebook is hopeless, completely disinterested in helping. so for what was left in order I was still charged 27.16. No refund of picking and packing or delivery even although the pick and pack a shambolic attempt at substitutions and and the delivery might have well not arrived as most of went straight back.
I can’t pay! Been struggling FOR WEEKS NOW
I can’t pay!! The website keeps telling me “sorry, there was a problem” No shit!
Not my end, and this has been happening FOR WEEKS NOW AND ALL HELP SAY IS “KEEP TRYING”
It takes HOURS of REPETITIVELY ENTERING MY SECURITY NUMBER AND GOING ROUND AND ROUND until magically, for no apparent reason, it accepts it.
But even then it doesn’t seem sure.
Fresh fruit and veg is sub par, all other big suppliers are better.
My last driver told me
“my best advice? Don’t order from Asda ever again.
THAT WAS THE DRIVER.
I don’t know what is happening at Asda, BUT IT IS MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SHOP THERE ONLINE. Disabilities prevent me from going to a store.
Fkng useless.
What a mess
For being one of the biggest supermarket in the UK, Asda is a complete and utter mess because of the following reasons. They need to look at ocado and copy their strategy.
1) what a rubbish app, slow and slugish. Recently I added some items from my favourites and it added them twice so be warned.
2) none of the items on offer actually gets delivered, the day before you get a email saying items not available or substituted. Always get whats ordered with ocado, they need to upgrade their systems for a simple stock check. Going to point 3
3) why on earth will you substitute soya mince with mince beef, cauliflower with a courgette.
4) delivery's always missing items so you have to go through the refund way.
On a plus its easy to get the money refunded from the app.
Please restore the website to previous version.
Been using ASDA web-site to get home deliveries for several years. Service has generally been very good -that is until they "improved" the web-site this summer.
Their introductory e-mails made it sound that the experience going forward would be brilliant.
Since then, the site is clunky, difficult to follow logically, makes simple tasks like reordering regular items slower and more complex, throws me out for no reason, and sometimes fails to retain the order I had already placed when I make additions. Its latest achievement was when I went on the site in late October in order to skip my slot for a particular week we were going to be away. It decided to cancel all my weekly slots until 2nd December (today). Last straw I am afraid. Will not be renewing delivery pass, and will try somebody else.
Slow crashing website
⭐️The website is awful. Crashes all the time. Products out of stock always seem to be the cheaper options.
⭐️The pickers, sometimes the substitutes are ridiculous
⭐️Shelf life is very short on most products delivered, like they are trying to get rid
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the delivery drivers in our area are brillant. Always polite and helpful
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Good special offers, eg meal for 2
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quick refund system. Morrisons online refunds are ridiculous.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good week day discount on delivery pass
Let's hope that Project Future deliveries the great new platforms its promised.
⭐️😡 customer service is awful on all online platforms
Greedy price increase…
I noticed asda had their mince pies in store. I noticed the price £1.61 increased 29 p from approx £1.35 last year as I picked them up i realised that there were only 4 pies instead of 6last year an asda mince pie cost approx 22p this year a mince pie will cost approx 40p an increase of 18p per pie. I will not be buying their mince pies this year. But also this has alerted me to check all asda pri es mo ing forward what used to be a consumer friendly fairly priced remember patting your pocket jingle saying thats the asda price. Saving people money well my pocket will zipped up in asda. Not the family store it used to be.

Moving of items and staff on a regular basis
Moving of items and staff ( if there are around ) not knowing what aisle to be found. Calling help centre difficult to speak to a human. Sometimes difficult to understand or when ask for their name, almost impossible to understand their name and have to ask to spell name of person
BEWARE OF FROZEN THAI CHICKEN MEALS.
I made my 1st order with them. I wanted 2 frozen meals and 4 chilled ready meals. They managed to screw up the order by sending all frozen ready meals, however, they subsituted 3 of the chilled meals with stuff that had to be cooked in an oven, and which I would not consider bying.
They also sent me 2 frozen THAI CHICKEN meals, which gave me food poisoning.
The new app is absolute crap!
The new app is absolute crap!
Save yourself a great deal of grief and order from one of the others.
Awful
Awful, they dont care about customers im still owed over £15 from September, rung customer services today, nothing but rude, wouldnt let me speak to manager, gave me wrong email address. Im shopping elsewhere, had enough of short dates, no delivery updates, shame as drivers are actually decent. Said ive had refund can prove i havent, so will go to trading standards as they really dont care at all 😡 proves that as they dont even bother to reply to complaints on here
I would not recommend shopping at asda
Asda shopping and delivery is the worse i ever had rude staff unhelpful poor skills of helping others there foods taste like rubber or a paint stripper taste and over priced goods too there are bones in there foods they sell ...i agree with many other people too what they say about asda food shopping ...
