This is literally the easiest interface for minecraft servers I have ever seen, and it's free! If you link it with your Google account it even automatically backs up in your Google Drive! This is so cool. Free minecraft servers and good tools. Makes you wonder what's the catch... oh well, thanks devs!

I Was building a game called Innovation Inc. Spaceship which is a popular Sci-Fi roblox game. after 8 or 7 days of hard work we had half of the spaceship, sectors and reactor core room built. then literally 1 minute later we were building the reactor, the server LITERALLY CRASHES, WITH THE ERROR "Timed Out" then red letters spamming in the console repeatedly! And i had DATA LOSS on the entire project when WE LITERALLY SPENT SO MANY TIME ON DOING ALL THIS, Every time i turned on the server JUST BY STARTING IT UP AND DOING ANYTHING IT CRASHES AGAIN REPEATEDLY, AND NONE OF THE CHUNKS LOAD. I Been trying to start it up for 3 days already and it kept crashing! 3 ENTIRE DAYS OF TRYING TO START IT UP TO CONTINUE THE PROJECT, I Decided to give up on the entire project and i had to make it a local file world WHICH DOESNT EVEN WORK, I Quit this hosting server. DONT USE IT

The server is not as bad as people say. I’ve used them for quite a while with no major issues. The excessive ads and longer startup speed is what keeping me from giving it a 5/5. But, that’s what you get with free.

They always have a data loss somewhere in their data center, even on the Exaroton which is a paid version of an Aternos with just adjustable RAM, play-time and a number of slots. I had it for 6 months as I wanted to play survival with my classmates. But, exactly a month ago, their servers "died" while saving the world and we lost +12 hours of gameplay. But, what do you expect from a FREE service? Okay, they pay the servers from the ADs.

Aternos good sides: automated setup

Aternos bad sides: old ass intel hardware, no plugin freedom, no mods freedom, no custom jars, supports only minecraft, server takes up to 15 minutes to start

Why, why is this hosting still getting hundreads of thousands of players every day??? I am amazed by how dumb people can be

Don't try playing on this hosting, you are gonna die because of lag after an hour

It is the worse site ever. At firrt it was lkike yee your server is open go and have fun yeeeee , but today i ve been waiting for one and a half hours just to open my server and not only did i wait so long , the server shut down soon afterwards it s opening due to 'problems in the website'

The one big let down with aternos is they don't offer any kind of importing of the necessary patches. So we instead ran with their built-in pre-configured modpack server which learned the hardway as players with hacked clients backdoored the server using loop-holes, gained creative mode,executed commands without being op!, as well as crashing the server with force fields,water strainers, and bypassing all kinds of land claim protection!

I alerted aternos about this, and suggested there should be way to import custom patches, and sadly was completely ignored ;_; I were hesitant on moving but had made hard choice, and moved elsewhere so we could operate a properly configured server & patched server.

Love the hosting, great uptime and many mods and plugins to use. Even tho it lags sometimes, its still a great hosting service for FREE.
Also, played some sessions over 8 Hours in 1.18 with a few plugins, saved every then and often and didnt crash one time, used this hosting for a few months now.

The company allows their users to advertise their aternos Minecraft servers on other users in their Minecraft server/discord.

Would highly recommend staying away from such company.

Servers are bad and very laggy. Also the server crashes very often. I played a 3 hour session and the server crashed. All the things I did in that period didn't save. Please don't use Aternos because it's not a good server hoster.

Support team genuinely sucks. The moderators are always edgy like they're high on something and can't seem to try to be genuinely patient to people with questions. It's like a support team with an extra "frick you for not knowing this" on the side. Although free hosting is great and this service lives up to its name, I'm giving it a 2 star because of its crapy support team. I haven't been a target of this but I've seen multiple people get edged down by the moderators of this service and it's really dumb. Improve your support service and fire your dumb employees.

It's working great, but when I'm searching for a specific mod, I can't find it. Then I got to "suggest a mod" and it says it's there, but when I try to search for it again it says "no results found". That's just very annoying. Works great for the rest!

it is STUPID because me and my friends try to play floor is lava but it keeps on TIMING OUT it SUCKS so much PLS DONT USE THIS IT'S SO LAGGY AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Im sorry but, Model engine is such a good plugin and....... it has a free version. I cant even suggest it. Is it popular enough now?

I think it is amazing but the only problem is it is not 24/7

Server was running fine, very laggy and always restarted but I accepted that since the platform is free, but after upgrading the version from 1.17 to 1.17.1, the entire world save was overwritten and lost. I made a backup before and launched the backup which just reloaded a new empty world

-lags
-ram is really slow
-forget about lesser known plugins
-nags you about adblocker
-horrible queue
-restarts randomly
-fails to save
-stops itself after 2 minutes of nobody playing
i can go on but it would be like beating a dead horse
