The Luton Black Calf
The Luton Black Calf 44.5 G are a perfect fit and exactly what I was looking for in a good quality 'black shoe' .
I have had issues with Barker shoes but this is no reflection on their Customer Service, which to be fair has always 'eventually' solved the issue. (Hence the reason I continue to be a customer)Their website is the best way of searching for a pair that suits. My only advice would be to know your foot size and width as many shoes vary with measurements according to the style and especially the width. Yes! It is a pain to send them back, but for the price you pay online I'm happy to be able to do so. When your paying £250+ for a decent pair of shoes, you need them to fit! You can always go to a shoe store that stocks Barker and try out the sizes there, to be sure when you order online, you have it right.
All in all I am happy with the choice of shoes & boots they offer and the ease to shop for them online.
I own four pairs now and two pairs are over five years old and still look good.

Online delivery issues
As with many other reviews here I have had a problem with ordering online. Ordered on 17th May and have still received nothing. It’s now the evening of the 28th May and on 26th May the DPD tracking updated to return to sender. Have emailed Barker twice but no response. I have two older pairs of barker dress shoes which are top, top quality. However, given that the shoes are priced as a more premium product the experience of ordering online does not live up to that more premium price tag.

Very disappointed!
I already have three pairs of Barker Newbury Park formal shoes. Although I usually take UK size 9, because of Barker's generous sizing, they are all size 8. Based on this experience I ordered a pair of Jamie casual shoes size 8. When they arrived they were too small so I sent them back for replacement with size 9. These have arrived but are very tight and uncomfortable to wear and there doesn't appear to be any 'give' in them, which is unusual for casual shoes. Having worn them several time I don't feel I can send them back, but I am very disappointed.
