Garbage service, unparalleled delays

This company has atrocious communication and online user interfaces. You don't receive receipts, itineraries etc on time. When checking in online it didn't clearly mention an option to buy extra check in luggage and when we tried to, the card payment kept failing even though all details were accurate. If only that were the most significant problem. On our flight from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur, we were informed at the check in counter that the 3:15pm flight had been delayed by 2 hours due to the aircraft arriving late. The flight then proceeded to get delayed two more times due to operational issues to 8:15pm, leaving us stuck in the airport for over 7 hours and causing us to miss our pre-arranged transport from the airport as well as our dinner plans. To add insult to injury, all we received as compensation were measly 75HKD meal vouchers which didn't even cover the cost of burger king meals. Worst airline ever

Once bitten, twice shy.

I flew Batik Air for the first time last month and our two hour flight from Bangkok to KLIA took off 90 minutes late, which meant it would be very tight for our connecting flight to Borneo.

On board staff confirmed that as our bags were already checked through for the next flight, and they knew when we were arriving, that the plane would wait for us and be held.

Of course, as soon as we landed and started running for our next flight, we could see that it had already left five minutes ago!

As there was only one flight per day, we now had 24 hours of our holiday hanging around at KLIA.

It took over two hours to get our luggage and to be transferred to the hotel at the airport, which was very nice and comfortable and the food provided wasn’t that bad at all. It just wasn’t the Borneo jungle that we were expecting.

We weren’t offered any compensation For the 24 hours lost and the customer service had a letter to be desired as there were no updates, we had to ask many times what was happening and how they would be looking after us.

I think I’ll be happy to pay more for a flight to not fly Batik Air again.

The worst quality in budget airlines

The worst quality in budget airlines - flight doesn't leave on time despite the air craft having dock for a while. Cabin crew is non-chalemt and not even helping passengers to load up their cabin luggage when it is already very late. They are just standing watching the passengers.

Ridiculous post booking baggage fee

I recently flew with Batik Air and was shocked by the exorbitant rates for post-flight baggage booking. The pre-paid baggage rate after purchasing my ticket was four times higher than the initial booking rate. This pricing strategy feels like an unfair money grab. Despite contacting customer service, I found no satisfactory solution. I expected better transparency and more reasonable fees from an airline. Unfortunately, this experience has left me quite disappointed.

Worst customer service I ever had to handle with...

Flight was rescheduled and I had to wait 4+ hours extra at the airport. After that my already booked meal wasn't given me on the flight and the crew pretended there's no meal reserved for me and I could buy one. Afterwards I contacted the customer service via WhatsApp and email but I had never an answer or refund so far. Very very disappointed with the service, it's no way to treat elderly people.
Customer Service has to improve standards and response time.

Rip off

Between them and trip com have ripped me for $1000. Never use either trip.com or batik air. Booked flights for me and friend. Ok I noticed my passport did not have 6 months left. So within 1 day I cancelled and all the rip offs would pay back was tax component.

Hidden Charges

I really didn’t like that they charged me around $70 for excess luggage weight. This didn’t happen to me with any other airline on my trip. My luggage was normal weight, they just have very low limits so that they can offer you a cheap ticket and then add up $50-$100 later at the airport where you have no other choice.

@BatikAir This is absolutely unacceptable! You rescheduled my flight from 7 AM to 1:30 PM, completely ruining my plans and forcing me to book another flight with a different airline. I requested a refund, but there has been absolutely no response! My flight was canceled by YOU after I submitted my refund request, yet there’s no information about my refund anywhere. I have sent several emails—no reply. I have tried calling multiple times—no answer. Your WhatsApp "support" is completely useless, just an unhelpful bot that keeps looping me back to the same email and phone number, both of which are completely inaccessible. Is this how you treat your customers? Ignoring them after ruining their travel plans? This needs to be sorted out immediately. I do not recommend at all! They don't even deserve a one star!!!

NO ONE ANSWER THE CS LINE and NO ONE REPLIED EMAIL

Tried to book a flight online but the field for first name is limited to 24 characters (need to follow name as in passport). Therefore called the CS line but no one answered after 6.5minutes (1st time). Wrote to their customer care, no one replied after 36 hours. Called again the next day and waited 12.19minutes, NO ONE ANSWERED. What and Where is your Customer Service?

Poor communication, not customer focused at all

I also have had a bad experience with Batik Air. They ignore your e-mails with genuine questions about your booking and their call center is unreachable. Poor communication as well. It's NOT worth the low price, resist the temptation to book with them because of that. Pay a bit more to fly with a better airlines.

Scam & Terrible Service – Avoid Batik Air!

I booked a flight with Batik Air and paid for checked luggage in advance. However, when I arrived at the airport, the airline’s staff told me there was no record of my luggage add-on in their system. This was completely unacceptable, as I had proof of my booking showing that I had already paid for it.

The staff was unhelpful and dismissive, refusing to acknowledge their mistake or offer a solution. I was essentially forced to pay again ($250) for something I had already purchased. This felt like a total scam.

Avoid Batik Air if you don’t want to deal with dishonest practices and terrible customer service. I will never book with them again!

Bad service when at check in they tell…

Bad service when at check in they tell you that yes you can have an exit row seat. But instead they out you down the back cramped in the middle with no exit.
Not very nice when you have long legs ask for an exit row seat they say yes. But uts all bullshit not the first time either.
I emailed batik air but ofcourse ignored. So my ratings to them is zero.

Panic crisis on both flights , bad turbulences, old plane…

I had flights go and back from kuala lumpur to Langkawi and it was terrible, both flight with Boeing 777-8 expérience bad turbulences Who cause me panic anxiety crises on both flights go and back it was so scary and not only me was scared many peoples around me. Such a bad expérience !
