Thankfully Sue got me sorted
Not very easy to speak to a human at Bennett’s but after persevering, a very nice lady called Sue sorted the techno-hassle and took my payment. Website is a clunky process - with no obvious and simple ‘Buy Now’ button if you simply want to accept ( buy/pay now) your renewal offer. Insurance renewal should be a quicker and simpler business process but thankfully after finally getting through to Sue, she made it a positive, effective and efficient experience.

Good initial pricing, poor online experience, high extra change fees.
Bennetts insurance is usually fairly priced and agents easy to get hold of.
Their online experience is poor though, and it’s hard to get changes and stuff done so you have to call. On the automated system you have to enter personal details and then repeat it all again when you eventually get to an agent.
The change fees (£32 to just change the reg no. when you fit a new plate, and for other changes too) are just an outdated fee model from a company with an ineffective online business environment. If I find another insurer that was <£50 more expensive, but didn’t constantly charge change fees I will go there next year.

Watch out for excessive mid-term charges
Insured various bikes through Bennetts over the years, but the current bike will be the last one. Made a simple policy change (changed registration number when I removed a private plate) and they decided to apply the maximum mid-term ammendment charge. When I did the same with Swinton a couple of of years ago on my car, there was no charge for that kind of minor change, and I've just done the same with another bike through Devitt, and again absolutely no charge. Sadly Bennetts obviously put revenue above their customers, they'll be losing one as a result.
