This location gets 2 stars instead of one because staff was pretty nice.
I was seen for a bad fall from my steps and landed on my hip and back.
It hurt when I coughed or took a deep breath. As a Nurse, I suspected fractured rib/ribs due to my symptoms. I was seen by a NP at BetterMed and she sent me for x-rays.
After x-rays, I went back to room to wait for results. After a short period of time, the NP walked into my room and handed me 2 prescriptions and said nothing was broken and to stay out of work the next day. There was no discussion of medications, she never asked me about medications and just handed them to me. One prescription was a medication I couldn't take due to my medical history. I felt rushed and from my pain and symptoms, I felt I should have gone somewhere else. I went home and the next day was horrible. I could barely lift my leg and and it hurt to breathe or move a certain way.
I went to my PCP and after I told him the BetterMed NP said I didn't break anything, he examined me and then had the same area x-rayed.
Guess what? Rib fractured horrible, clearly missing a piece of bone where a rib broke.
This was my first and last time going to BetterMed.

Needed Covid tests for international travel and BetterMed had the schedule and the days available that worked best for our trip...including Sunday hours. They were clear and concise on the phone about how and when to schedule our appointments. My wife and I drove an hour to the nearest office knowing that we'd have the test results in time...and we did. They were a big help in assuring our long-planned trip to Africa was able to happen. I'd use BetterMed again in a heartbeat.

From the time I walked in they were all very nice and helpful till I left. I live in South Carolina and if I ever need help in VA. I will find a bettermed

With a sudden swelling in my face & then other parts of my body during the night I knew I needed to get this checked out. I called my regular Dr. and she was not in that day. You were close by and so I came to you clinic.

I quickly checked in and received attention immediately. Although the DR. was not sure what caused the problem he was quick to determine what would help the situation. He gave an injection of what I understood was Benadril & steroids. Then he prescribed the Prednisone Tablets and called my pharmacy with the prescription which I picked up right away.

I still do not know what caused the outbreak but things quickly came back to normal. I was amazed. This was the first time in my 86 years to be given steriods of any form. A few days later I realized the side benefits as my constant back pain was gone!. Amazing!. Unfortunately the meds the Dr. ordered are apparently out of my system as the back pain is back. I guess I need to talk to my Dr. about that! Thanks again to the Dr. and the staff for their quick and professional attention to my problem.

The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I'm always in and out very quickly.

Very caring people and just what you need when you can't get to a doctor and don't need to go to the emergency room. They are filling a great need. Every time myself or a family memeber have used them, we have gotten great care and people who care!

I am very upset with my daughter's visit to Better Med. She was identified as a close contact for Covid and was quarantined from school. Even though she was symptom free we went in for a covid test so that she could return to normal activities. Both my insurance company and Better Med told me that it would be covered. I received a bill for $376 above what the insurance would pay. I find it completely ridiculous that there is a $175 fee just because you are an urgent care on top of the fee for the test and the over $200 doctor's fee. The doctor literally walked into the room and told my daughter that she was negative and asked if we had any questions. Patient First has never charged such a fee.

The whole process was easy and the staff is so sweet and kind. I spent no time waiting to be seen and Dr Stewart listened to me and was very helpful and informative!

It was a great experience. We were on vacation when our 2 year old started not feeling well. There was no wait and we were checked in immediately and put into a room. The doctor was thorough and detailed. The longest time we waited was just for the COVID test to come back and they gave my son a lollipop to distract him from the wait. I will definitely come back if we need urgent care on vacation!

Very quick, professional and friendly medical care. I really got the impression that they cared about me as a person and not just a number.

I've been going here for over a year, even taking my son because it's easier for me than seeing my PCP. However, Shaquaysha at the front desk is extremely rude! She even got an attitude and said, "Somebody in a bad mood today," when I couldn't understand her mumbled question underneath her mask and fluid in my ears. Then when I started talking she WALKED AWAY while I was speaking directly to her! When they took my vitals my heart rate was high simply because of how much Shaquaysha was rude! Thankfully this incident happened before I started using BetterMed for our company’s occupational health. There are plenty of other places to go without being treated like that. I will not be going back, ever.

I saw Sarah Ro at the Chester Better Med. She was great ,very thorough. I wish I could find a primary Dr as good as her. The staff all treated me very well

I go here for all of my COVID PCR tests as they usually get the results the same/next day. Makes all of my travel worry-free.
