Excellent from start to finish

Excellent service, booked me in quickly, communication was golden from start to finish and the job perfectly done. Honestly so chuffed with the heated steering wheel retrofit! Will definitely use again and can wholeheartedly recommend Nadim.

MMI Pro G-series BMW

I purchased a MMI Pro - Apple CarPlay / Android Auto for BMW G Series for my BMW 7 series from this company.

The experience I had with the purchase process was a bit frustrating as it was advertised that I would get free postage and after the purchase I had to make another payment for the postage, only a small sum but still annoying. I had to email the company myself to get a confirmation that they had received the order which took a few days to find out.

Onto installing the product. Very easy to install however I had some issues with the box connecting the first time even though I had changed all the settings on the box to match what my vehicle should be in the instructions provided (was probably a loose connection this time). I contacted the company and they provided support and said to do what I had already done, so I went and removed and re-installed the box, sending them pictures to make sure they had a full picture. managed to get the box working and that was the end of that.

Move on to using the box for around a month. I had a constant buzzing sound coming from the speakers, an extreme drop in audio quality and while on phone calls the person on the other end of the phone had an horrendous echo along with approximately 5 second delay to which I tired to resolve myself by buying 2x different adapters/connectors to try and rule out any bad cable or connections. In the end I have decided to remove the box and cut my losses. I did have confirmation from the company and I quote directly from the email "The MMI box was personally tested and confirmed working before dispatch." It is clear to me that this test is inadequate to prove the items is fit for purpose.

I myself would advise against buying an MMI box product from this company as in my conclusion the issue with the problems are a poor quality MMI box's.

I’ve looked into order #BMWCUKL221291, and it appears the parcel was unfortunately delayed/lost during transit with Royal Mail. As soon as we received your email two days ago, we immediately began investigating this with the courier and took action to resolve it.

We do kindly ask customers to allow up to 2 working days for an email response, as we are often handling workshop bookings and dispatch at the same time. If something is urgent, you’re always welcome to call us directly so we can assist straight away.

A replacement has now been arranged and is on its way to you. If for any reason this doesn’t arrive promptly, please contact us and we will resolve it without delay.

Once this has been sorted and you’re happy with the outcome, we would genuinely appreciate it if you would consider updating or removing your review, as we always aim to deal with any issues quickly and fairly.

I paid £540 for an Android Auto…

I paid £540 for an Android Auto installation with BMW Customz Ltd. Within months, the system repeatedly erased itself and stopped working. I had to return four separate times for reinstallation, yet the issue was never permanently resolved.

On each visit, I was told the problem was due to the app or software updates. I followed this advice by deleting the app and disabling updates, but the issue continued, which suggests the underlying problem was never properly fixed.

Each reinstallation required a three-hour round trip drive, plus waiting time at the premises, at my own expense. After four visits, the system still fails after a short period, making the service unreliable and not fit for purpose.

When I requested a refund after nearly 10 months of ongoing issues, I was only offered yet another reinstallation appointment. Given the repeated failures, time lost, and costs incurred, this is not an acceptable resolution.

Very disappointed with the lack of a lasting fix for a service at this price point.

I’ve sent a formal complaint for a full refund if that is not offered, will be taking the company to small claims court.

I will update this review when I’ve reached to an outcome.

Great service

Very happy with the product and have to mention the great customer service. I had an issue where my package seemed to get lost in shipping. Nadim had a new unit shipped out on Monday and was delivered to me by Wednesday. Very highly recommended

4 Series reversing camera install

Last year I had the folding mirror option fitted by Nadim at BMW Customz. Perfect install and zero issues since install.

Having decided to keep the car for a few more years, it was time to add the rear reversing camera.

Fitted, coding and working perfectly. Great job of the fitment to, factory quality, you would never know the car had been touched.

Coding was perfect and all features are available.

Totally recommend BMW Customz and I will be using them again for sure.

The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful, making the experience seamless from start to finish. BMW Bolton treats its customers with DIGNITY, COMPASSION and RESPECT. Am truly grateful for Helen’s exceptional service and support.

She went above and beyond to support me during a distressing time caused by a delay from my warranty insurance in authorising my car engine repair. CIC Unit replacement & coding

After a CIC unit failure in my 6 series I contacted numerous companies and decided upon BMW Customz thanks to their prompt email responses and excellent communication.

They sourced a unit and gave me the option of having it fitted by them or fitting myself, which I did. A remote coding session was then booked and took about 35 mins to code the unit fully to my car. Everything appears to be working as it should now with updated Pronav etc so couldn't be happier with the service received by Nadim @ BMW Customz.

Great service

Great service - I contacted BMW Customz late Friday evening as I had an issue with my idrive stuck rebooting. They booked me in promptly - 9:30 the following morning and fixed the issue in no time. Very happy with the service.

Apple CarPlay activated remotely

BMW Customz activated Apple CarPlay remotely on a 2019 X3. It looks and works like it was on the car originally. Even though BMW told me it wasn’t possible. Really impressed with Nadim at BMW Customz. Very accommodating and flexible even when I had difficulties my end. Rebooked me without issue. Start to finish 5*

I had Apple CarPlay fitted to my BMW X3 by BMW Customs and couldn’t be happier with the result. The whole process was smooth and professional — they were clear about the options, booked me in quickly, and completed the job exactly as promised. CarPlay works perfectly, looks OEM, and totally transforms the driving experience.

Highly recommend them if you want expert, no-fuss upgrades for your BMW. Will definitely be using them again in the future. Thanks again!

A very responsive helpful service
