****BEWARE**** i have contacted the insurance ombudsman & will be contacting my solicitor, according to Budget Car there insurance is not worth the paper its written on. If u have an accident it could cost you a lot more than there dodgy excess fee, when i complained i was given an email that contained false info. Contact the insurance ombudsman & a solictor to get your fee back.

Don’t use this company

Don’t use this company, they are thieves how don’t provide the services paid online.

If you don’t want to loose your money, avoid them.

They use ridiculous excuses in order to not provide the service and keep the money.

Don't bother using Easyjet's car hire…

Don't bother using Easyjet's car hire service. You'd be much better off dealing with a reputable car hire company directly. I booked a car with Easyjet at Madrid Airport. Had a problem with a cracked screen but as I taken out full insurance with Easyjet's related AXA insurance I thought there wouldn't be a problem. Big mistake? To begin with the Hertz office at the airport refused to answer the phone although I tried for over a day and a half and it was only by contacting the London office of Hertz the following day that anything was done but this meant me having to drive back to Madrid airport (about 100 miles) with a badly damaged windscreen. The car given in place was full of knocks, bangs and scrapes which the hire office said they had noted. However, my wife had the foresight to take photos of the car which was very fortunate as later the office tried to pass off some dents as our fault. On return to the UK we claimed for the £515 for the windscreen replacement from AXA on their website form but as yet we have received no communication from them in spite of several emails to them. You can get a good deal from Easyjet-as long as you don't have a problem! One star from me as I was unable give less.

Charged for car rental twice

Charged me for car rental. I went to rental to pick up car. They didn’t receive the payment from CarTrawler and I had to make another payment at the rental agency

Car rental via Transavia with Record go

Two stars for quick responses via chat, 1 star for dealing with the problem which was car insurance charged both with them and Record go. As a broker they will not take any responsibility. See reviews for Record go rental company. Both are making money from these insurances processes while hiding behind small print in the T&Cs. My advice stay clear of both of them and use more reputable companies to avoid issues like this. If you add all the costs up you are likely to be even cheaper off in the end.

I didn’t even want to give this company…

I didn’t even want to give this company 1 star. Do not use them, they took our money for a return private car hire and never show for either leaving us stranded and having to pay another company to do the job they hadn’t done. They fob you off and you won’t get a refund. I’ve gone to watchdog in the hope this gets investigated as it’s stealing peoples hard earn cash. Again do not book through this company.

Ripped Off & they don't care

I am a Virgin Velocity member & booked a car through Cartrawler -supposedly one of Virgin Airlines partner
I used a points & pay option for my booking
I couldn't collect the car due to the Brisbane Floods on the 4/3/22 & now after many weeks & phone calls -they will not cancel my booking so Virgin Velocity can retrieve the points used to be used again-Their Customer Care slogan is false -as they don't care & now I'll be writing to the HOffices of both companies -in the hope I can get my points re-imbursed to my Velocity account

They double charged me and When I returned the car the next day all I got was some foreign country through email even though Hertz owns them and dollar they act like they dont . Alaska airlines gets money every time we use cartrawler so they deny to help also so evil !

Why are Easyjet dealing with these people, and why don't they take some rersponsibility for it?

I booked a flight in April 2021 from Gatwick to Gran Canaria flying on Sunday 23rd January 2022. On the same day I booked a hire car through Easyjet for the length of my stay. Easyjet, or Cartrawler had my money from this date. On 28th July Easyjet told me that the Sunday flight had been cancelled, and that I was now to fly on Monday 24th January. So on the same day I sought to change the date when I should pick up my rental car. I did so, via the internet and received a reply saying "We would like to inform you that we have successfully processed the amendment you requested."Three weeks before my flight I wanted to check that my booking was in order. I noticed that I was still due to collect the car on the evening of the 23rd, rather than at midday on the 24th. I tried to amend again on the website, but this proved so difficult that I used the live chat service. I was told that I could not just amend the pick up date, but had to cancel and rebook. Nor could I just turn up the following day and expect a car as I would be a "no show" and the hire would be cancelled. I was told that this would be an extra £71.21 as there was now greater demand for car hire. When I protested I was basicly told to take it or leave it. They did find a slightly cheaper deal for me which still required me to pay an extra £57.88. In the circumstances, and under protest, I felt that I had no choice but to take this.
This whole matter has arisen because Easyjet changed my flight, and either their or Cartrawler's computer system did not change the date for car hire in July. As a result, I am out of pocket through no fault of my own.

Absolutely the worst experience I've…

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a car rental. Still fighting them to try to get refunded for a car I never received. They get their insane booking fee anyway! I don't see how this can be legal. I'm out over $400 for a car I never received because the rental place was all out of cars!!!

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. I simply wanted to change pickup locations. I couldn't telephone them but only initiate an online request, which they did not reply to. The rental agency I was using, SIXT, rebooked me at no charge but Cartrawler would not refund me for the initial rental.

Bad service and disappointing

Recently had contact regarding my car rental nightmare. After declining the car cental due to multiple factors including a 2000 euro excess required on my creditcard I told them I wanted to reject the deal and I left. Afterwards I contacted cartrawler to refund my insurance costs. They basically told me I didnt read the contract fully and should read every small letter in the contract. Instead of taking care of their customers they stood up for the car rental company.

appalling do not use

arrived early before pick up time
gold car refused to give me the car because I only has an Amex credit card
they told me to go upstairs and see Easyjet but there was no one from Easyjet upstairs

by the time I got through to car trawler on the telephone they said it was past the pick up time and refused to give me a refund !

absolutely appalling

I have been scammed.

They have not met me at the designated meeting spot outside the terminal. They charged me 144 EUR because I am 66 y.o.and not 65 despite the fact that their own website has a age range 30-69 which I found out later. They are scammers and crooks. Do not touch them,

Scam company
Rent if you want to be overcharged and if you need assistance from their side! Forget it, you will wait weeks for a reply as everything has to be by email and when it comes the reply don’t expect any resolution on customers favor.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. Cartrawler via Easyjet at Glasgow airport. 90 minutes to get pre-booked car despite only two people in queue in front of me. And now I have been overcharged.
