My eye examination on 16/06/26 was…Excellent
My eye examination on 16/06/26 was carried out by Ms Sumayah Choudury who was extremely professional and helpful. After the examination, Julie helped me to choose the right for my new glasses. She knew exactly which frame suited me and also the best lens for my needs. She was very friendly with a great product knowledge. On collection of my glasses, Paula made sure that the frames were a good fit and expertly explained how to use my new varifocals. All in all a very pleasant experience, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I called to make an urgent appointment…
I called to make an urgent appointment as requested by my GP due to some eye symptoms that I’ve been experiencing. The person I spoke to the phone was extremely rude. I explained that I had been given a link by my doctor with a list of practices I can contact to book an urgent appointment and this boots opticians was on the list. The person told me in a rude tone ‘it’s not that simple, to just book an appointment. I will need details.’ I think this is very unprofessional for someone in this job to be so rude. I’m very aware that I need to provide more details and was just giving a high level of information first before moving on to my details and symptoms. She then asked where I went last for a sight test. I said specsavers (it was a very long time ago) she then said very annoyed ‘where they not on the list?’ I told her they was but that I wanted to go to boots and she made me feel bad for trying out a new opticians and made me feel like I had to explain my decision for changing opticians. I told them that I didn’t see why it would be a problem because they were on the list that my doctor gave me. I didn’t get to the next part of the phone call where I shared my details and symptoms because she was too rude and very unwelcoming for my liking. I will go somewhere else. I will also steer clear of boots opticians for future sight tests and for purchasing glasses.

Excellent experience at Boots Queen's Road
Having had an eye test and a prescription change, we visited the Queen's Road, Sheffield branch to choose new spectacles. From start to finish, Chloe was excellent - thorough, patient and helpful. The whole experience was great. Chloe even arranged the appointment for collection. She is a first class member of staff.

I'm not sure my glasses are right
I'm not sure my glasses are right , when I clean them I can hear the lens moving as it clicks
So I think I will be back into store. Plus I paid nearly 300 pounds and walked into Specsavers to find they were soich cheaper for an almost identical frame .
The staff were all very friendly etc but it's the quality of the glasses I'm unsure about

Boots in Paignton is full of friendly, helpful staff
Boots in Paignton is full of friendly, helpful staff. I’ve been going there for over 20yrs and even though I’ve moved further away I still go there. Sarah, the optometrist and Hannah on contact lenses are so knowledgeable and friendly and Maria and Kirsty were brilliant with myself and my son when choosing glasses. It’s a great exam.
