Perfect water bottle
Super prompt service! This is my second Breakbottle (lost the first one :( on my last trip to Canada) and I ordered right away because I love the design- I really love to be able to put my water bottle in the dishwasher! That single design feature is the greatest contributor to me actually using a water bottle and drinking more water consistently. But the fact that it breaks open has also come in handy for me on multiple unexpected occasions - to enjoy a takeaway coffee, or share a cup with a friend. I like that it’s metal (I don’t like how plastics taste and I’m afraid of microplastics) and its insulation is perfect to maintain any temperature.

Great delivery service, my heart dropped when I saw how tiny the box was. I worried I had misunderstood the size. But it was shipped 'broken'. It is lovely. Well made, substantial and easy to clean.

Great bottle but issues keeping lid clean
I've had my breakbottle for about a year now and I really like it. However, I'm having an issue with the rubber insert in the lid which started to get some black mold. I bought this bottle because I had trouble with other plastic ones being difficult to clean properly. The design and material of the "body" of the breakbottle are great for cleaning, but I'm a bit frustrated to have the issue with the lid. I treat and clean the mold but it comes back. It would be great if the design was such that the rubber seal wasn't in contact with water in normal use, e.g. around the neck of the lid rather than on the flat top inside. I presume the rubber insert can't be replaced, but I wonder if the lid can? I don't see anything on the website to suggest so.

Easy to order, came quickly.
Bottle is a simple design, I love that you can split it in the middle for easy cleaning.
Only thing that I think could be easier to clean is the bottle lid/ring around that attaches it to the bottle itself as its not easy to get under there but water does get in so I imagine it will get gross if not cleaned.
The bottle needs to be stored with the lid open once dried like other resuable bottles otherwise it will still smell weird even after washing/drying.

Just a note that the tether attached to the lid does actually come off the bottle, it might just take a little wiggling to get free from the bottle. Then you can give it a good deep clean every so often so you can keep all areas nice and fresh! 😎
Well noted on the lid too! The bottle should preferably be stored with the lid off and (if space allows) split in half too. This way you can maintain good air flow during storage, avoiding any moisture recondensing and getting smelly when you're not watching.
So it stays fresh ready for the next time you use it!

It was the perfect smoothie bottle
It was the perfect smoothie bottle. I unscrewed the lower half of the bottle to add in my icecubes, screwed the bottle back together and poured my smoothie in. It kept my smoothie cold for about 6hrs and was super easy to clean every bit of it to reuse the bottle for water. All I had to do was unscrew and wash with soap. I had no smoothie smell left in my bottle.
