We contacted Cecilia to help us book our Honeymoon at Thabamati Luxury Tented Camp.
She was extremely helpful finding us a place in our budget and also the dates we wanted.
The hole experience dealing with her was just a pleasure and we had a fantastic time on our trip.
We couldn't have done it without her and her attention to detail meant we could sit back and enjoy our trip.

The communication before our trip was very helpful, our questions were answered concisely and promptly. Arrived at our destination, Tulela which was absolutely stunning, the Lodge and staff included to find a lovely welcome gift in our room. Wonderful attention to detail which made us feel so welcome!! I do highly recommend Brett and his Team when you are planning a trip to the Bush. Thanks guys for everything, we will never forget this trip.

BHS went above and beyond to make our trip to South Africa one to remember. Their knowledge of safari options and responsiveness to everything that came up (including some last minute changes) was fantastic - I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

We spent one night on the Reserve doing two rides. We had Lunch, Dinner & Breakfast. We stayed in the lodge (old farm house) and it was really really nice. Great experience. Would recommend to anyone.

The trip was absolutely seamless. It was very well put together. We were given many options and could amend as we went along. Our guide, Charles was incredibly knowledgeable and the perfect host. He spent time on our interests (birds, cats, etc.) to guide and inform us as we went along. The Timbavati is a truly special place.

I would only offer 2 areas of improvement.
1)The rooms and linen in particular need an upgrade.
2)Some of the sightings were a little bit rushed. Understandably, due to the pressure from other vehicles needing a chance to view a particular sighting but none the less we were rushed.

Thanks so much for giving us the space to have a wonderful time together with friends and experience a little piece of heaven on Earth.

Such a brilliant time with Brett on Safari, a true insight to the bush and meeting all of the great team and staff along the way. Brilliant sightings of animals and great diversity and itinerary!
Thoroughly recommend and will be booking for next year!

My 3rd Safari with Brett Horley Safari’s in the Kruger National Park still delivers the amazement every time. As anxious as I feel due to my Asperger’s Syndrome, Brett does his best to be honest as well as reassuring to me on a daily basis as well as making me aware of everything for my own and everyone else’s safety. Our accommodations from Baobab Hill House, Pafuri to a night at the Sable Dam Hide to returning to Walkers River Camp, Timbavati (since my first time there in 2016) are all uniquely different and offer different wildlife spotting and environments. Our morning treks are eye opening as you listen carefully everywhere whilst watching where you step and walk single file whilst paying attention to Brett & the assistant / tracker’s instructions for our safety. Me and the group of photographers always come back amazed thanks to what we see, what we photographed and the information that our guides explain to us. The staff that looked after us at Baobab & Walkers were so helpful, cooked amazing food after our sunset drives and catered to us welcomingly. Sahara (who works for Brett) helped me rent the Sigma 60-600mm lens this trip which helped me achieve the best wildlife photography I’ve done out of my past 2 trips.
Your in good hands if you book with Brett Horley Safari’s and I photograph / document my trip so you can see some of my photos on his social media (credited). And I highly recommend Brett and his team and would urge you to use them if you’re aiming to go on a Safari!

Just got back from SA after a week and a half with Brett as our exclusive guide. This is my 3rd trip out there with Brett and he just keeps on deliverying, Truely amazing. Now I just have 6500+ photos to review... I generally don't bother with review sites like this, but I'm more than happy to make an exception for Brett. The sightings he provides and his indepth knowledge of the wildlife, flora and fauna is boundless. Just thinking about how I can justify another trip out there...

Did a 10 day 2 location with Brett and the team what an experience
Not the usual game drives but walking safaris and river walks plus a few surprises along the way, I can't actually fault anything Brett felt like a good friend at the end of the trip rather than a guide - what a trip blew my minf

This trip was a particularly important one as my family came together from around the world to remember our father who passed away during Covid lockdown. We could not have asked for a more professional, warm and pleasurable experience with Brett Horley Safaris - the entire experience from beginning to end was simply out of this world. We stayed at Khaya Ndlovu in Hoedspruit for one night and Serondella in Thornybush for 3 spectacular nights. Upon arrival at both venues we were warmly welcomed, shown around and in each room was a personal message to each guest. At Serondella, we were welcomed with African song and dance from the staff and shown to our allocated rooms. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional at all times. The rooms were very tastefully decorated in chic African style, with a small outdoor pool and seating area. The Africology products were to die for! The food at both venues was delicious. Chef Thomas, a self-taught chef deserves a mention. Despite the fact that we thoroughly over-indulged, it was worth every mouthful - the food was fresh and flavorsome without fail. Chef and his team baked my daughter a beautiful cake for her 17th birthday and the staff sang and danced in the boma - precious birthday memories that Annie will never forget.
As for the game drives, we enjoyed the outstanding team of TJ and Aubrey - very experienced and knowledgeable trackers/guides. We seemed to be first at most of the big sightings! We saw a pride of lion up close and personal post-kill! We observed a leopard and her cub feeding on an impala up a tree, great theatre with hyena and wild dog fighting over a carcass, we got close to buffalo, wildebeest, elephant, giraffe, baboons, vervet monkeys, warthogs and more....it was a true safari feast! We enjoyed meeting Brett Horley himself - an expert of note on the bush and all-round 'lekker' bloke. Thank you to Brett and his brilliant team for an experience we will always remember, with love and gratitude.

Falling in love with the Makuleke.....

How do you know you've fallen in love..... It consumes your every thought, It takes your breath away when you see it, you yearn for it when you are not there, it bogles your mind at it's shear beauty, you develop a deeeeep connection with it...... this is the Makuleke...... go!!!!!

What an incredible few days in the most magical, diverse, wild, historical and exclusive wilderness areas that i have ever had the privilege of experiencing! Its one thing going to the Pafuri for this experience but what takes it to the next level is the people that you experience it with, BHS gets this right every time!
Our adventure was facilitated brilliantly with the BHS and Return Africa staff. The balance between taking people out of their comfort zone whilst creating a safe environment in a professional manner, is a fine line and only a few people can do that, so thank you BHS for this!

We experienced the best of both worlds, primitive adventure in a spectacular wilderness area with a few days to end off at the brilliant, Baobab House. Never has Orange juice tasted so good or a pool looked so tranquil as it does after living in the wild for 3 days with your home on your back....

I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to connect with the special wilderness area that is the Makuleke, but if you really want to do it properly, go with BHS Safari co.

BHS have always gone above and beyond to take our adventure trips to the next level. Their expertise and professionalism shone throughout our recent trip to Pafuri with Return Africa. We were treated like family and there was swift communication when adjustments to our itinerary were needed :-) Cant wait for the next one!

Rosie had been working with us for a few years as Covid botched plans for the world. Adjustments were made after postponements. 3rd time was the charm and we made it this year, 2022! Vince was our driver and made our journey from place to place easy. Vince is a great conversationalist, too, sharing knowledge and stories while making sure we caught points of interest. I wanted to book a safari experience for my family visiting South Africa from the US, and I couldn't have made a better choice! They really went above and beyond for me and my family. I'd recommend them to anyone. My Mom who traveled with me said, "They couldn't have done a better job." That says it all! We stayed at the lovely Rukiya, and really enjoyed our time there sleeping in their luxurious tented accommodation, and listening to the sounds of the bush each night.
