SCAM

Order a a chocolate/dark brown but upon opening is black/charcoal. Nothing like the picture advertised. They have also ignored my emails and now I'm stuck with over £200 of useless wallpaper. This is a scam company and should be avoided at all cost.

Additional to this it has taken ages to arrive as it was held up in customs as the duty was no payed.

UPDATE - 27/05/2026
Still not received my refund. Been sent parcel stickers that were suitable for the weight of the item and then had a collection arranged but no one turned to pick up the wall paper. So I am still over £200 out of pocket. At this point I just want my money back. It's a lot of money and is now causing financial strain.

We did not ignore your emails. After receiving your message and image, we responded and explained that from the photo provided, it was unfortunately not possible to clearly determine whether there was a genuine colour discrepancy. We therefore politely asked for additional images so we could investigate the matter further with the manufacturer and assist you properly. Unfortunately, we did not receive any further photos from you before this review was posted.

We would also like to note that wallpaper colours and shades can appear differently depending on lighting, screen settings and surrounding décor, which is why we always recommend ordering samples first before placing a larger order. In this case, no sample was ordered prior to purchase.

Regarding the delivery delay and customs comment: some of our products are imported, as not all products are available locally. However, we publicly confirm — and also clearly state in our order confirmation emails — that all import duties and customs fees are fully covered by us. Customers never pay additional import charges.

We are always happy to help and remain willing to review the issue further if additional images can be provided.

Update:
We are sorry to hear you remain unhappy with your experience and completely understand your frustration regarding the delays and return process.

We would like to clarify that this matter is currently still being investigated, as the return collection arranged for the wallpaper is showing as in transit back to the supplier within the courier tracking system. This is why the refund has not yet been completed.

We are also concerned by your recent message stating the wallpaper is still at your property, as this does not match the collection and transit information currently available to us. We are actively trying to clarify this with both the courier and supplier so the matter can be resolved as quickly as possible.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused throughout this process, including the customs delay and the issues experienced with the return arrangements. We have been in contact with you directly and remain committed to resolving this properly.

Unsuitable for large areas due to tile size variance

Be warned: Cork tiles sold as 300mm X 300mm have up to a 5mm variance, and Bricoflor think that's acceptable. The variance made it impossible to lay in a straight line without gaps, and has resulted in some tiles peeling up as they don't sit flush side by side. The professional fitters I hired had a nightmare. It took twice as long as similar sized jobs they've done, and they were unhappy that the end result wasn't up to their usual excellent standard due to no fault of their own. I wrote to complain and was first asked to provide evidence of the variance, which was easy I found 3 different sizes on the first row of tiles) Then I was told that I should've measured the tiles before laying (all 700 of them!) then I was told that that amount of variance was normal (all of the professionals I spoke to said that was rubbish) Then they asked me to confirm how many of the laid tiles differed in size. I persevered, and eventually several weeks and 6 emails later, they offered me a small amount of compensation, which I accepted as I was just sick of the whole thing. They paid part of it and when I politely enquired where the rest was, I was told that they had made a mistake in their previous email confirming the compensation amount and so they wouldn't be honoring that. I gave them one last chance to put it right, and reinforce a bit of confidence in their services, and they declined.

Cork is a natural material, and slight dimensional tolerances can occur as part of the manufacturing process. That said, we do understand that this led to difficulties during installation in your case, which is certainly not the experience we want for our customers.

As part of our efforts to resolve the matter, we worked closely with the manufacturer and, as a gesture of goodwill, arranged a compensation payment of £400, which has been processed in full. We also regret the earlier administrative error regarding the communicated amount and any confusion this may have caused.

We understand that this has been a lengthy and frustrating experience, and we are sorry that we were not able to reach a resolution that fully met your expectations.

We do hope, however, that the matter can now be considered fully closed from a resolution perspective.

I sent two emails last week (on Wednesday and Thursday) regarding a return for a box of cork tiles and a 1-liter bottle of varnish. I received no response, so on Friday, I called customer service. The guy I was talking to assured me that they would arrange the return and inform me when the delivery person would come to pick up the items. Of course, I haven't received anything.

I hope someone will respond to this review and help me receive the service I need.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Also, I would like to alert potential customers if they read the reviews before ordering something from this company: they charge a 20% restocking fee even if the products are unopened.

These guys are the best

These guys are the best. We bought a cork floor for our kitchen in the summer and are super pleased with it. We bought a different product this Christmas for our bathroom which didnt live up to our expectations. Whilst waiting for the supplier to reply to our complaint, Bricoflor refunded us THE WHOLE AMOUNT rather than make us wait and stress. Brilliant service. thanks
