With complete honesty...I am computer challenged except for the programs I use for my work. Anything that is complicated, I usually try and then forget it. Buy me a Coffee is stress free and even I was able to navigate through the set up...Thank you Buy Me a Coffee!!

Overall I have found the Buy Me A Coffee service excellent. The website works well and has let me grow a funding base for my hobby in old age.

Recently I had an issue with a feature. It didn’t affect my revenue, but prevented communication from my followers. After sending off an email to support, I received a quick reply, with helpful trouble shooting, and soon the problem was promptly resolved. Fast, courteous, and professional.

Great platform for creators and membership programs but absolutely infuriating that you have to constantly log in again after being logged out between sessions. No other site I use does that, even sites trusted with sensitive and secure information. Their cookie policy clearly wasn't developed with users in mind and they apparently don't care, offering no support to resolve the issue.

I donate monthly to Ants Kitchen Hub; they always give me a heads up by email stating my donation will be processed soon. I've only had one communication with them and they responded timely. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would 🤗

BMaC is a great service that allows supporters of my independent maker projects to "tip" me for my work. This helps offset the cost of hosting and supplies (wood, 3d filament, etc) without requiring them to sign up for a subscription, etc. like other services. It helps my virtual community show their support which in turn keeps me motivated to create and share new things.

I had commissioned an artist who asked that I use their Buy Me A Coffee page to pay. After payment, they blocked me on all social media, and I reached out to Buy Me A Coffee's support staff to see if the payment could be reversed, (after 2 days of trying to get back into contact with the artist who had went radio silent and stolen the money)

Customer service told me conflicting stories, that they'd reach out to their payment team for a resolution, only to be told that the refund would need to be delayed until after the seller had responded, it had been a week since, and I ultimately filed a dispute with my bank as it was a substantial amount of money.

After I filed the dispute, as I believed customer support was delaying to protect the scammer, they told me that they would no longer be able to process my refund and that my bank would investigate it. This was after a hectic few days of trying to get an answer from both the seller and their customer support was unhelpful in refunding a recent transaction.

BuyMeACoffee's own TOS states that the "non-delivery" of promised goods is grounds for a refund. Dispute being shown receipts in the initial email and being told that they'd reach out to their payments team, the story changed and I was then told that they'd need a response from the seller first, the seller which had already went radio silent and refused to respond after taking my money.

I would not recommend using Buy Me A Coffee over other options which offer more flexible consumer protections such as Paypal's Goods & Services or another payment platform with more consumer-friendly customer support.

Customer service was extremely quick in responding and resolving my inquiry. Was expecting a response in 48-72 hours but it only took them a few.
