I booked an flight through BYOjet and contacted them within hours of booking to fix a date error. Airline confirmed there were no airline change or cancellation fees as this was within 24 hours.

Despite this, BYOjet refused a refund or credit and tried to charge a $537 “airline fee” plus a $250 processing fee. I understand the processing fee, but the airline fee makes no sense given what the airline confirmed.

Their call centre has used clear avoidance and delay tactics, I’ve been passed around, told the same thing on every call, told to call back later multiple times, hung up on and even told a supervisor needed to “reboot” their system. It feels like they’re deliberately running out the clock to push this outside Air NZ’s 24-hour window.

This is not the level of service I’d expect from a Flight Centre–owned company.
Warning to others: book direct with the airline instead.

Trying to get them to chase a refund required months of follow up phone calls. They never once answered any of the dozen emails I sent requesting an update over a 3 month period, nor did they ever proactively contact me with an update or status change. Very frustrating to deal with. OK if there are no changes but you're on your own if something goes wrong so better to spend a few extra dollars with a real travel agent or directly with an airline.

it's a bad website they said that they will give ticket in 24 hours , my flight is today and they said no we can't confirm your ticket because airline dont accept our request , and they just process refund and now i have to book hotel again in other city where i will go and also book new flight and book hotel for today here too

I sought and found very good prices for air travel.
Just be a little careful when choosing the menu of possible flights - even under cheapest ranking list the best flights are not always immediately obvious - though they are there.

After searching for flights, BYO Jet had the cheapest for the itinerary. Knowing they are backed by Flight Centre is also reassuring. Straightforward booking process for adding extra details. All the little "extras" are not needed. Once you have the PNR, you can manage the booking on the airline's actual website.

Absolute terrible costumer service. Had to call more than 20 times to get an issue solved, I was lied to by people on the phone and every single time I called I would have to wait on hold for at least 25 min.
My flight got cancelled and they said the refund would take at least 14 weeks to process, once the 14 weeks were up, I called to check on the refund and they said it hadn't been done for some reason and that now it couldn't be done, so they gave me credits instead. Which I have to call them to be able to use and I am currently on hold on a call to these scumbags and it has been 47 min of waiting. These people are absolutely useless.

So easy to search, alter dates, view a range of prices across dates etc. Also found the cheaper than most companies and sites incl check in luggage

I booked a flight with this company a return trip from Brisbane to LAX for $1100, and had to change travel dates and gave them two months notice. I understand having to pay the difference in fares and an almost $400 fee for doing so. I was thinking maybe a few hundred dollars difference would cover the changes, but was quoted $1996 to change the flight! I ended up cancelling it and lost $750 of my money, never again please just book directly with the airline... What a rort!

Price was good.However ticket terms not indicated at all. Charging surcharge for CC isn't good.

I purchased tickets for my entire family with reserved seats. After schedule changes, it took ages for BYOjet to send updated itineraries, and in the end they still did not provide the reserved seats or respond to my requests. Customer service was useless. I do not recommend them.
