Very good trip! The walking was outstanding, such a beautiful part of the world to visit and experience at walking pace. Some lovely towns and villages along the way. Good time of year to do this in... See more

Camino Ways made our first Camino experience just perfect! From planing, tech, communication, transparency to picking the best bike rental, luggage transfer and perfectly dreamy stays along the way, we could not have asked for better. We’ll be using their service again!

What we signed up for and paid for - was delivered 100% - I loved our accommodations. And we rode bikes for part of the route and our bikes were superior in quality. I might have wished for a more detailed map as google maps put us in cities and not always along the Camino Trail. Thanks Caminoways.com

Camino Ways did a great job! Good communication prior to the trip. Accomodations were great, and catered to us getting up early to have a "to go" breakfast for us. Getting our luggage to the next location went off with out a hitch. The only thing that could have used a little more communications would be sending people ahead of time some apps to use, or maps to follow...when we got our bikes dropped off we really had to figure it out on our own. But all and all it was an incredible trip!

My wife and I had the experience of a lifetime. CaminoWays delivered on everything. We are eternally grateful for how easy they made our trip.

Their communication needs to be improved. We didn’t have a dedicated point person so many times I had to correct whomever I was dealing with as to the changes in our trip.
They also did not give us any guidance in regards to maps and how to bike out first 100 miles if the Camino before we started the walking portion. We got lost often and found ourselves on very busy, somewhat dangerous roads to to figure out where to go.
Lastly, they sold us on a Tapas tour for the night we finished in Santiago that was horrible and a waste of money.. the guide went to 2 places, spoke broken English in a very rapid dialogue that you couldn’t understand. Had us sit in a gross back room table inside a restaurant with no air.. Didn’t explain much of anything in regard to the food. Then he stopped the tour after one and a half hours instead of the 3 hours Camino advertised. It was a complete waste of money and I asked Camino to at least refund part of it as it was not what they advertised at all. They have not responded.

This was our second Camino. We have used CaminoWays both times. This time there was only one very bad Dinner meal. Which was in Caldas de Reis. It was basically bar food and bad bad food. That we paid for in advance. Other than that nice trip. Just suggest trying to improve your mapping ability and making sure the route is clearly marked. Also double checking to make sure dinner choices are quality and meet your customers dietary requirements. That you have been informed of. People pay for the idea that their dietary needs have been passed on and will be available at each stop. This time better rooms was a plus. Thanks and yes if another Camino is in our future. Camino ways will be our first choice.

Everything went off without a hitch. Our accommodations were great, the included meals were good, our luggage was transferred and, we were able to hike the Camino without worries. It was exciting to anticipate what our accommodations would be like each day. We enjoyed the historic value of some of the lodgings and meeting the hosts at each one.

Lots of good information before the trip. All the hotels were very good, mostly two star, but that is very good in Europe, with private bathrooms, fantastic breakfasts, and good dinners. I get transfer worked very smoothly.
I think the whole experience was very good value.
I would certainly use CaminoWays again and recommend it to my friends.

We, two English ladies in our early 70s, were very pleased to have booked our journey with Camino Ways. The chosen hotels were very welcoming and comfortable and it was good to know that our luggage was collected each morning and taken on to our next destination. All information and directions were very clear and easy to follow. Everything worked like clockwork! Thank you Camino Ways.
One very slight disappointment was the choice of restaurant for our evening meals and the limited choice on the menu for Camino travellers. However,
Casa Rural Anton Veiras at Ordes was by far our favourite, good in house home cooked food and very friendly and helpful reception.
We would highly recommend Camino Ways for the Camino Ingles.

The accommodation and meals, with the exception of one night (Palas de Rai), were excellent. The hotels were well located, the rooms very clean and comfortable with well fitted bathrooms. The hotels were easy to find and on the route, so no deviations required and at good daily walking distances. The breakfasts and evening meals were of a good standard and sufficient portions to power us through the walking. The only disappointment was the evening meal at Palas de Rai. Poor choice and poor quality, although the wine was good. The luggage service was very efficient and the transfers from and to the airport were excellent and timely.

The hotels we stayed at had nice rooms and really good food. The transport of our luggage was easy. We did not have any issues.

I was a replacement for a person that backed out of there reservation with Camiño Ways. We did all the changes through CW but at several of the hotels the reservations were not put in my name. It was confusing for the hotels and for me. It appears Camiño Ways didn’t follow up changing the reservation information with the hotels. However my baggage transfer did arrive correctly each day.

The hotel and baggage transfers went smoothly. The hotels were very nice and clean. I only wish you had provided a PDF of the Camino and the precise location of our hotels. Looking at a map on a cell phone was difficult. We overshot one hotel resulting in additional miles of walking, and another we ended up walking on N 550....

Summary: We were unable to take the trip, but 3 stars because we got some of our money back, however the company's aggressive posture and predatory no-refund policy were off-putting.
We booked with Camino Ways (CW) in mid-February of 2025 with plans to travel with them on the Camino in late May of 2025. We were disappointed to see that, like the other tour operators on the Camino, CW only offered non-refundable trips if you are forced to cancel for any reason less than 30 days before your trip (more on this later).
Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with a medical condition that prevented travel just a day before our flight to Spain. Although we booked nonrefundable flights with both United and Iberia, both airlines extended us full 100% credit for later travel.
However, just like the hyper-aggressive and corporate AirBnB, Camino Ways, held firm with their policy, telling us we should rely on trip insurance (turns out that our trip insurance did not cover tours) and told us we couldn't get anything back but that we could substitute a family member in our place (?!).
Ultimately, after more haggling with them, CW did issue a partial credit (no refund) for use in the next 24 months. Not sure we can use that, but it seemed like the best we could get from them, sadly.
Finally, we were also reminded that "all of the other tour operators on the Camino have the same policy" when it comes to nonrefundable trips....this was said as if it were some kind of moral or ethical defense of CW's policy! Of course, this is no such thing, this is merely collusion between a limited number of operators to take advantage of Pilgrims and tourists wanting help planning a trip on the Camino. Another term for this would be an Oligarchy, control by a few companies who enforce predatory and aggressive terms.....
